Guyss, hi! Can you tell me how to delete a program called System Check. It sends me strange messages and pop up notifications and to be honest I don't think it is a real program. I am not sure what it does exactly, but I surely want to remove it. I tried through Control Panel and I also searched for an uninstall icon, but no luck. I have windows 7 on my PC(if it is at any importance). Thank you!!

I need to find a 2d barcode reader for my phone but most of the sites i go to keep trying to dump a load of viruses on my computer(luckily i'm on linux so i'm not worried). my phone is capable of java its a samsung GT-S5600 although it appears to be equivalent to a sanyo 5600. anyway, the requirements: it MUST be capable of reading datamatrix barcodes at the very least it must be capable of running on my phone prefferable but not strictly necessary: be capable of reading other kinds of barcodes, QR, standard 1D, etc. more the merrier. free as in beer and/or speech. i'm going to keep looking but my time has been severely limited by a job and the pub.

Saw this video, and want to know if it's legit? I know it's collegehumor, but I've seen my friend turn his house into a Dodge Charger. I just don't know enough about PS to determine if they're turning a pizza into a model legitimately. Anyway, figure someone that's an expert in PS would be able to figure it out and curb my curiosity. Thanx!

Hello I have a Dell Inspiron Mini 10, and since 2 days ago, the battery is acting very strange, and extremely annoying. 1. When the notebook is plugged in, it won't start. It will start when the cable isn't plugged in, and will continue its boot when I then plug in the cable. 2. With the cable plugged in and the notebook booted, there's a pretty annoying phenomenon: For about 16 seconds, the battery indicator indicates that the battery is charging (3% available (plugged in, charging)) After those 16 seconds, it suddenly jumps to 0% remaining (so not plugged in and not charging, according the the symbol) for about 7 seconds; this is accompanied by a verry annoyin…

Just a quick question for the Windows 7 experts out there: is there a way to tell my laptop to deplete its battery more before shutting down? Right now, it automatically shuts down when it claims it has 32 minutes (or thereabout) of battery left, at 12% of the full battery. I feel cheated, because with about 1 hour left, it actually gives me less than 30 minutes to do something! Personally, I'd rather risk having unsaved data than a safe but early shutdown. But at the very least it could shut down a little later? Any thoughts?

Ok, not a new computer but new to me. I got an old computer from a friend and since it's better than mine I've been using it for several days and just as i decided to transfer my data to the new computer it stopped working. It is an emachine, probably 9 years old or so. It's running windows xp and has a hibernation mode and this seems to be the problem. The computer drops into hibernation mode if you are away for 30 minutes or so and when you hit return the computer turns back on. But for some reason last night it refused to wake up completely. For some reason the tower came on but the monitor and the key board didn't. I restarted but it did the same thing e…

I am trying to make an application with C++Builder which communicates with a PIC16F877A which has a RS232 interface. Unfortunately my computer only has USB ports so I have bought a USB to RS232 converter cable. Well I am a complete beginner to C++ Builder so really at this point I don't even know it will be possible to do this... Any help and advice would be really appreciated.

I've just started using Chrome, and I like it considerably better than IE8. But there's one thing I can do in IE which I haven't been able to figure out in Chrome. When I click on a link using the middle mouse button, I open the link in a new tab. In IE, there's a setting which always moves the new tab to the foreground, making it active. I can't find the same in Chrome. The link opens in the new tab, but the current tab always stays as the active one, making me click on the second tab. Now, it may simply not be possible to do that in Chrome, but does anyone have any ideas? I have taken a look at everything in settings, but no luck.

all I know it's the mathematical function where it is easier to compute by a forward direction than in the opposite direction, so is it possible to make it easy to compute for one-to-one?

My pap's computer was running Windows, and now it runs Ubuntu. My brother probably changed it, but we can't contact my brother, and we don't know that the computer still has Windows installed. My pap needs Windows to run his tax software. I got into the BIOS with F2, and this is the list of boot devices: 1. Onboard or USB Floppy Drive (not present) 2. Onboard SATA Hard Drive (not present) 3. SATA0-Hitachi HDS721680PLA380 4. Onboard or USB CD-ROM Drive 5. Onboard Network Controller 6. USB Device (not present)

I'm in CS1 at my high school. In 10th grade right now and we just learned how to make multiple classes in a class. Please help me! We use Eclipse. Your fruit stand has been amazingly successful! With the increased customer base, you have decided to branch out and sell as many different varieties of apples, oranges, and bananas as you can. Follow each of the following parts in turn... Part 1 * You should have an Apple class; You will now extend this with 2 more classes: one for oranges, and one for bananas. Each class will have the following... * Data members for sweetness and size * Both a default and nondefault constructor * 2 extra methods (…

I am trying to decide if I should get a lap top or a desk top PC. I can get a used lap top from the pawn shop for about $280, it has windows 7. I plan to write down the specs of the computers I am thinking of getting so I can get more precise advice but I would like to know the advantages and disadvantages of the two. I recently read that PC's are going the way of the dinosaur and lap tops are in decline as well in favor of things like tablets. If I get the lap top it will probably not have a physical connecting to my ISP like my PC does but will operate more like my net flix box on a wireless signal. what are the disadvantages and advantages of the two type…

OS has single disk, which it uses (a) to create user files, and (b) to spool printer output for various user processes. Space is allocated for both on a demand basis, and a program is blocked if its disk space requirement can not be granted. Spooled printer output is handed over to the printer when a program finishes. Is there a possibility of deadlocks in this system? If so, under what condition? Suggest a solution to the deadlock problem.
