Hi, I was hoping someone can help me understand the 6 principles of Bureaucracy by Max Weber? I found a source here: http://www.bustingbureaucracy.com/excerpts/weber.htm but I'd like it to be clearer, basically and simply, what are the 6 principles/what is he saying?

Wikipedia says the results were published on April 7th but I can't find it online with a google search. Which leads me to question, where do most scientists (mostly physicists) publish their experimental data and theories?

Hello. If an apple orchard is populated with half a dozen varieties to favor cross-pollinization, and an early bee lands on tree 'variety A' and makes its pollen distribution among the flowers of such tree... An hour later, a second bee that had been playing with 'variety B' blossoms somewhere else arrives to the 'variety A' tree which was already visited as explained previously. What good or effect will the second bee provide with its 'better/foreign/varied' pollen to the flowers that were already self-pollinated by the first bee ? Having proper tree varieties around to induce optimal fruiting does not mean success because some previous self pollinizati…

Per title of topic, anyone pursuing or has a Ph.D. in the field? Asking to learn more about experiences, research topics, and to hopefully make connections for potential collaborations in the future. Pretty much a "tell-me-anything" sort of question.

A solid can dissolve in a liquid and if you increase the temperature then more solid can dissolve in the liquid before it becomes saturated. Why is it that increasing the temperature for when a gas dissolves in a liquid decreases the amount of gas that dissolves in the liquid before it becomes saturated? Why does increasing the temperature have the opposite effect. EXAMPLE This can be seen when the temperature of a lake rises so that the dissolved oxygen levels decrease and therefore all the fish die.

Does there exist a substance that is clear, liquid and magnetic? I have heard of magnetic plastics recently and was wondering if a substance like the one I mentioned would be able to be suspended (possibly in space) in an electromagnetic field and manipulated to make a perfect lens. Is this feasible? Would it be any better than the solid ones we have today?

Hello, i wonder if someone could help with the wiring of this power board supply that takes in 240 volts and DC as output. As you can see it has (Ground, 230V, Common) as the three hook up and to the right of common is 4 hook up as the motor RPM. ( 1400, 1250, 1200, 1000) Of the four wires in my circuit panel in my house ( 2 black wires , 240 volts between them, wire A, and Wire B) 1 white wire, Wire C ( 120 volt with respect to the above two black wires.) 1 Bare copper wire , wire D ( no voltage between it and the above three wires). Which 3 of the above 4 wires ( A,B,C,D) should be plugged in to the three hook up on the board. See p…

Confirm you crazy scientists in time travel atrocities? Please do tell me how you people manage to talk about creating universes in real life without first the Holy Perfect original exister of existence? How many theories does it take to find this one fact about the holy father you fools? He used Jesus Christ! And many others but Jesus Proves he is king. Do you lunatics wan hear how christianity is more evident than any other religion? Have you fools ever asked what came before existence?! The holy father did! Why because there was no evil at the beginning to touch him! He's in everything, not at the back of the universe or the front, you need him to exist some…

If mathematics is a language used to formally define and establish the relationship between things with out any ambiguity and if physical models are mathematical models used to model observed reality then why there are so many interpretations of those models? Why do they arise? Does different interpretations mean that the model is incomplete or what does it mean? I am just not able to understand relationship between interpretations, mathematics and physical models.

Was thinking about Neuralink and the ability to communicate with much greater clarity (last bit of this video is on the future of communication). Do you think this will be possible?

Alright I made a quick account and I didn't know what category this would fall in. I'm 14 year old male, I do pretty good in school so I'm not a complete idiot. But first off I've been using binaural beats. I've been using them to help me lucid dream, so far I've only lucid dreamt once. When I listen to the beats I close my eyes and I'm able to get vivid imaginations and visuals. Tonight I didn't listen to any beats, therefore my mind was going blank. I didn't get any random abstract visuals and imaginations. So I decided that I'd try to force them, well I didn't exactly think that, but it was more intentional. I started thinking, just basically forcing my mind, to do wha…

Hi, everyone! From time to time I wish to have the following program: I upload the pdf of the article into it, it automatically parses the references and builds the graph of citations. In addition to that, it allows to make notes and comments inside the article. Does someone know systems of that kind? I know that google scholar gives you your personal library, but it's just the system of saving links. Mendeley does everything what I need but without showing references between articles (and without building graph of references). I would be very happy, if you will suggest something. Thanks, Marat.

What do you suppose will happen to someone whose diet consists of strictly 6-7 1oz boxes of frosted mini wheats for Breakfast. 5-6 1oz bags of plain lays chips per meal. 3 cups of lettuce and 2 cups of black olives per meal. No Dressing just the Lettuce and olives. Saltine Crackers packs of 2 several throughout the day as snacks. Will drink water. This is consistent everyday for going on a month so far.

Hi. My son has been diagnosed with Oculocutaneous Albinism, and is now being seen by a genetics counsellor who requires mine and his fathers DNA to test the genes we have, and therefore understand better the genes passed to him to give him this condition. I understand enough that me and his father both carry a gene that led to us having a 1:4 chance of having a child with Albinism, and a 1:2 chance they would be a carrier. (Please correct me if i'm wrong!) :-) We had 2 sons, one has Oculocutaneous Albinism and the other doesn't. My question is from my father wanting to know how I got the gene? Did it mean both my parents had the abnormal gene and passed i…
