  1. Explain how cholesterol metabolism is regulated by internalized cholesterol? I have been reading up about this quite a bit but find a lot of contradictions and irrelevant information. From what I have learned I know that HMGR plays an important role in regulating the synthesis of cholesterol but I am struggling to understand exactly how it does so. Also, are there any other ways that cholesterol synthesis and metabolism is regulated by internalized cholesterol?

Ques: An 8000 kg engine pulls the train of 5 wagons, each of 2000 kg, along a horizontal track. If the engine exerts a force of 40000 newton and the track offers a frictional force of 5000 newtons then calculate the force of wagon 1 on wagon 2. Ans ( I tried) : Total weight =18,000 kg Net force exerted= 40000 - 5000 = 35000 Accelration: 35000 / 18000 = 35 / 18 = 3.5 m/s^2

  4. So as my tech project for my GCSE I was given a problem. There isn't much point going into huge amounts of detail but essentially what I need to do is to create electricity from drainpipes. I do not know how to do this I know it would involve dynamos and such but if someone could give me a more detailed explanation that would be great Thanks in advance, Lewys

I just need a deeper information about the properties of compounds, how do they are similar in character, how they can do certain things when combined. More like I want a book concerning on processes of how compounds can do. "Just like a cook book of chemicals' lol Please help me to study that will really a big help!

Hi everybody! The last expression was derived by converting an underdamped harmonic oscillation to a travelling wave. Actually, I searched everywhere and I did not find such expression (it can be also wrong). The loss factor (l) and the wave number (λd) are replaced by an expression depended by the damped frequency. Although in most applications the damped frequency is calculated and not used as input (as the loss factor) to the expression, could the last expression be a valid solution for the underdamped wave equation when the initial frequency (ω0) is known? Or is the wavenumber correct for the damped wave expression?

  17. I making some research, about effects of household antibacterial regents on bacterial colonies. So I grow bacterias from desk before regent was used and after. And problem that my stupid head thought let use grama staining method, now I have 8 photos from microscope and I need compere number of bacterias from each sample. Can someone can recommend program or method how count cells and give some tips how next time don’t make similar mistake, recommend methods to count cells (I don’t have expensive lab technologies). Can I somehow adapt this man's program? Also adding some photos from research: https://imgur.com/a/NK757e4

  19. I’m really stuck on this problem. This involves the dissolving of Borax. Na2B4O7•10H2O(s)<->2Na^+(aq) + B4O7^2-(aq) + 10H2O deltaH=109kJ/mol deltaS= 340J/mol•K Kc=0.047@25C If the starting concentration of B4O7 is 0.17M and the sodium ions are 0.34M at 25C, which direction will the reaction proceed? I said forward because Q At what temperature would a mixture of these same starting concentrations be a saturation solution (i.e. be at equilibrium) And that’s where I’m stuck At what temperature would a mixture under standard conditions (B4O7=1M, Na=1M) be a saturation solution (i.e. be at equilibrium) And I’m stuck here again …

  20. I have attached the question in a file to this post. I am taking an online calc 1 course and I am struggling with this concept of continuous and discontinuous functions. I know the answer to this question is b, but I do not understand why. I've spent a couple hours (yeah :( ) on trying to understand this problem but I STILL DON'T GET IT. Can someone explain it to me? Online videos are unhelpful and my textbook is not doing it for me.

Hi, I'm trying to solve the below equations, M7 and L7 are unknown ( I'm trying to get here : L7=(equation without M7 ) and M7=(equation without L7 )). I spent a lot of time without success any help will be highly appreciated. 1) R=I7-M7*COS(RADIANS((90-K7)+L7))+J7*SIN(RADIANS(90-K7)) 2) S=H7-M7*SIN(RADIANS((90-K7)+L7))-J7*COS(RADIANS(90-K7)) Thanks in advance.
