Seen any good sculptures made from almonds lately? Note: no other nut-based sculptures may be discussed under threat of the ban-hammer!

So I was sitting on the toilet and thinking about life, and my mind wandered to areas where fresh water is a luxury and how we here in the west literally take a dump into it. Why do we use fresh water to flush our toilets and use in our sewer systems? Why not use salt water from the ocean? How expensive could it be to pump it in from the ocean instead of using water treatment plants and recycle fresh water through tons of filtration systems? I know this would not be practical for many areas in the center of larger continents... but many many massive cities lie along or near the coast. With modern plastic polymers surely we could use materials resistant to salt wate…

Does anyone have any leads on the whereabouts of a John Titor? It is of great urgency that I ask this forum. I am quite similar to John Titor, and I request his aid. If you are in league with John, do not run and hide. I am a friend...for now. But I believe we could help each other in our, predicaments. Please respond, your friend, Tim Travis

I would like to propose that we, here at scienceforums, abandon English as a failed protocol for communication. Perhaps we could base our new universal language on ADANACO, the language developed by butcher bob in the movie "Big Meat Eater". If you are not familiar with this film I would highly recommend you watch it. In addition to the genius of ADANACO, it is the best comedy-horror-scifi-romance-musical ever released to home VHS tape. IN anticipation of any misguided criticism, allow me to state your attacks just demonstrate your lack of understanding of my central point and my only response will be non-sequeters. Irrefutable PROOF!

http://theconversation.com/ordering-the-vegetarian-meal-theres-more-animal-blood-on-your-hands-4659 Eating vegetarian could result in more blood on your hands than being the omnivores humans naturally are. Eating vegan can result in far more sentient animals deaths than our current practices of eating red meat.

I have this sort of idea on how part of the vehicle technology in my show concept would work; keep the rider stuck to the vehicle at even the highest speeds. It would be a technology that electronically manipulates atmospheric molecules so that they move around the rider and vehicle, and not into them. Does that seem like it could happen in real life someday?

Hi. Just found a partiture of a song my grandfather used to sing when I was a little kid, but no music. I would like to beg any musician to play (perhaps piano?) and capture its mp3 for me to listen. It will bring tears to me, meaningless to any other. If within your skills, please try. Attached. Thanks

Rotting English... by laziness. The words 'laboratory'; 'identification'; 'abdominals' are gone ? 'Madam' is offensive ? An apostrophe has to be tossed in ? Female dog ? Three in the afternoon is being called 'night' ? I thought nights started at sunset ! 'Dinner' replaced by 'lunch' -- Isn't that what kids take to school ? Supper. What was that ? A ginecologist is now an alphabet soup. There is no more amplifiers or Amperes, now it is 'amps'... 'Googled' this or that... If you 'search' for something you are saying it wrong... 'Software' ? ; 'Booting up' ? Come on ! News redacted in convoluted phrasing to save ink ? Is a dozen 'you know' per minute the way to tal…

Should heading be eliminated from soccer? Some evidence that it does cause brain damage. Not sure if a reasonable helmet could be created to help this, so maybe eliminate heading for kids?

My friend rents a room in a building. The room is in the middle of the building - no outside walls, no outside windows. No way to make a vent for a portable air condition unit (refrigeration type is needed). However there is watter supply and watter drain. Does anyone know if there are small air condition untis that are able to pump heat into the watter? I don't even know what term should I google.
