Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to pronounce "ampliative." Some dictionaries to which i have access either don't have the word, have no pronunciation, or the pronunciation Am"pli*a*tive which i don't know how to interpret. Pronunciations of this form are adequate: AM plee uh tive am PLEE uh tive am plee AY tive Thanks!

This is a Help Me thread. I started because I am interested in making some of my own videos like the Red vs. Blue Halo ones escept with a different game. I was just wondering how I should go about doing this? What are some good screen capture utilities that I could use? How come this forum, in its political-type debates, always focuses on America and not the UK or something? We argue about Bush but not Blair. Why?

I need to get a new laptop, and I was thinking about a Dell Latitude D800. Has anyone tried this machine? Anyone have any advice? I have decided against having a truely dinky laptop since I will be doing the majority of my work on this. It doesn't really need to be terribly fast - I don't do anything graphics intensive. Battery life is important but 2-3hrs is probably enough.

I am opposed to what my teacher said. We have two different mass syring balance. And he said that we could obtain two equal weight if we use the two syring balance to measure each other. They are the normal balance used in common laboratory.

I have a question regarding my hearing and I think this is on the right board. I remember hearing that someone who studied music theory said that if someone listens constantly to music or any other sound and always has that sound in the background that it can be as detrimental to your hearing as listening to loud music on occasion? Is this true and if so how can it be treated? I hope this topic made sense.
