Apathy doesn't mean pathetic, in a world ruled by fear apathy disarms the rulers. Just a turn of phrase, my friend used to say. The point is, apathy when thing's are fine is just a way to 'not give a shit about tomorrow', and tomorrow is where fear breeds; it doesn't mean tomorrow doesn't matter, it means today I'm free of worry.

Is apathy the answer? I'm not talking about political apathy; although in my lifetime I've only voted once (against Boris), because before him whoever I voted for I always got 'the government', which is basically my point; only fear what immediately and really threatens your future. Obviously the 24 hour news culture isn't helpful, because the only good news they can muster, tends to be added on to the end and treated as a joke.

When I watched the footage, two thing's struck me: 1. Will initially laughed at the joke. 2. Jada decided to take umbridge. She must have known, that by coming out and wearing that hat with pride, that not everyone will be grown up about it; if she can't take an immature jibe she should have worn a wig. In my view, she decided to be the victim in order to make her man fight for her, rather than with her. Much like a child stepped of the path and onto the grass; how strict are you going to be?
