How difficult will it be to live with almost 100% dry land?
How difficult is it to live on the space station? It is a more or less closed system. In an ideal closed system we have the Earth. No new (in significant quantity) H2O gets here.. Everything is reused. Cities would be huge aquariums with hermetically sealed gates. ps. As in some post-apocalyptic computer games.

Special number.
Rainbow table does it. Then write a computer program to show this.

Logical Vacuum Genesis 2
The concept of "nothing" was human-made.. You have wood and you burn it. You get "nothing" out of the wood. Wrong.. Matter changes from a solid state to a gaseous state, then disperses across the planet, then is consumed by plants, and cycle repeats. To understand this, one must understand the change in the state of matter.

Something From Nothing?
How about this: from the bit that has only 0 and 1, you have all programs, games, movies, songs, etc. ever created and ever which will be created in the future, and this discussion.. On a phone or computer, you can create more combinations than the number of atoms in the universe

What are resources to prevent school shootings and mass shootings?
You just won the jackpot! What a brilliant idea. When we have online schools and unlimited access to knowledge via the Internet, the traditional school model seems outdated. In online schools they will kill just in Counter-Strike etc.

What are resources to prevent school shootings and mass shootings?
From 2009 to 2018: https://edition.cnn.com/2018/05/21/us/school-shooting-us-versus-world-trnd/index.html "The US has had 57 times as many school shootings as the other major industrialized nations combined" (to have a fair comparison, we could also compare the population with the number of mass shootings).

Is science useless if it doesn't aid people in procreating?
Thanks to science, so many people in the world are alive. Science is also the discovery of vaccines, drugs, artificial fertilizers, fast transportation. Without artificial fertilizers, the soil would not produce so many, such good quality fruits every year. Previous systems ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three-field_system ) have reached their limits. Without fast transportation, fuel, fertilizers, ready food could not reach people who are hungry, creating a natural bottleneck. The next step, if the population continues to grow, will be the mass production of artificial food from GMO organisms. i.e. instead of raising animals on farms, human can make artificial meat in vats with specially created bacteria.. There will be no other option. Land space, hydrogen, oxygen, carbon, nitrogen on Earth have their limits.

Lightning generator Machine Idea
It is an engine that uses liquid hydrogen and oxygen. To produce liquid hydrogen, human convert methane or use water electrolysis. To produce liquid oxygen, human cool the air to a temperature sufficient to liquefy the gases present, or use electrolysis of water and then cool it. Either way, it is a very energy-intensive process.

Bulletproof Airplanes
What for? How often does an airplane get hit by some kind of bullet (missile?), so it has to have this kind of protection.. ? Security for what type of aircraft? Civilian? Wartime ones? Air fighters have catapult to rescue pilot. A pilot's life is precious. His training takes years and costs millions. Nowadays, modern airplane-destroying missiles do not hit the body of the aircraft directly; instead, they explode close enough to the aircraft and create a cloud of shrapnel designed to cut thousands of small holes. One hole is enough to cause dehermetization and require the pilot to catapult out. shrapnel from the cloud can easily hit underslung missiles and underslung auxiliary fuel tanks and cause them to explode. A direct hit is not required. Active protection is used to protect important aircraft - if incoming missile is detected, it throws out a cloud of shrapnel to fool the missile and hit them rather than the aircraft. Modern turbojet engines suck in huge amounts of air to burn fuel. If any junk (shrapnel? debris?) gets into such an engine, it causes damage and the aircraft is no longer airworthy. In the case of a single-engine aircraft, it ends up catapulting the pilot.

Would breaking up an asteroid before it hit Earth reduce the damage if all of its mass still hit?
You came up with Chicxelub, not the OP. OP asked about breaking asteroid. I just extended it to any space object and pointed out that comets can have much higher velocity. A metallic asteroid with mass m1 and velocity relative to Earth v1 = 20 km/s has kinetic energy: [math]\frac{1}{2} m_1 v_1^2[/math] An ice comet with mass m2 = m1 / 8.6 (the difference between the density of iron and the density of ice) = 0.116 m1, and v2 = 70.56 km/s has kinetic energy: [math]\frac{1}{2} m_2 v_2^2[/math] The overall difference between them: [math]\frac{\frac{1}{2} m_2 v_2^2}{\frac{1}{2} m_1 v_1^2}=\frac{0.915}{7.874} (\frac{70.56}{20})^2=1.45[/math] (if they are the same size/volume)

Would breaking up an asteroid before it hit Earth reduce the damage if all of its mass still hit?
The velocity of Halley's comet relative to Earth is one of the highest in the Solar System ~ 70.56 km/s. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halley's_Comet Twice a year the Earth passes through the remains of Halley's comet. In early May and late October. Comets are heated and evaporate as they fly past the Sun, which slightly alters their orbit and breaks them into smaller pieces.

Would breaking up an asteroid before it hit Earth reduce the damage if all of its mass still hit?
People are missing one important factor: when the asteroid disintegration will occur. The Earth, moving at ~30 km/s around the Sun, and a diameter of ~12742 km, moves away by its entire diameter in just ~ 7 minutes. In order for all the parts of a disintegrated asteroid to hit the Earth, the disintegration would have to occur in less than just a minutes before the final impact. Which is highly unlikely, if humanity makes any attempt. Most of the Earth's surface is ocean. Most asteroids and meteors that hit the Earth's surface end up in the sea. The impact of a large object in the ocean creates a high tsunami, and the energy is dissipated over a very large area, and coastal areas are most at risk.

Defining evil
You suggest he should resurrect old threads. No, thank you. This is not good and welcome behavior. We have enough such newbies who resurrect 10+ year old threads when no one who participated in them is on the forum anymore.

Txtarea is not exist in other sub-forums in this site
The next time this happens, open https://www.speedtest.net/ and take a screenshot. We will see how fast your Internet connection is. Are you using a VPN, HTTP proxy, Tor to bypass censorship? All of these significantly reduce your Internet speed. Asynchronous content loaded by AJAX/jQuery etc. has timeout option. If the content is not ready in time, the main HTML page will have missing parts. The solution is simple: wait and reload the page with the F5 or so.

Txtarea is not exist in other sub-forums in this site
Try a different web browser to see if there has been a change. If I click on here for example: https://www.scienceforums.net/forum/100-science-news/?do=add we can see that there is a delay (tens to hundreds of milliseconds) between the display of the static part of the page and the display of the correctly visible text area, which suggests that it is a dynamically created and/or asynchronously loaded element, i.e. in case of Internet problems (like slow upload/download speed), the asynchronous content is not loaded fast enough before the timeout occurs, hence its absence.

Why? It's stupid. The first thing Telegram does when you try it is ask you for your phone number and then send you a message to verify that it is your number! Only an idiot can claim that this is a safe, reliable and anti-spy method of communication.. I would rather use this forum than the Telegram app for secret and secure communication..

Internal and External IP Address Query
The proper procedure is on Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ipconfig "An important additional feature of ipconfig is to force refreshing of the DHCP IP address of the host computer to request a different IP address. This is done using two commands in sequence. First, ipconfig /release is executed to force the client to immediately give up its lease by sending the server a DHCP release notification which updates the server's status information and marks the old client's IP address as "available". Then, the command ipconfig /renew is executed to request a new IP address.[3][4] Where a computer is connected to a cable or DSL modem, it may have to be plugged directly into the modem network port to bypass the router, before using ipconfig /release and turning off the power for a period of time, to ensure that the old IP address is taken by another computer.[5]"

Internal and External IP Address Query
If you use Tor, the IP address of the Tor server will be displayed by showmyip.com, etc. If you use HTTP proxy, SOCKS4/5 proxy, the IP address of the proxy server will be displayed by showmyip.com etc. If you use VPN, the IP address of the VPN server will be displayed by showmyip.com etc. If someone hacked into your computer and passed the transmission through their computer (to intercept and change TCP/IP/UDP packets), you won't see the correct IP address..
