  1. Next year I will be moving into Sixth form to take my AS levels where I get to choose all my subjects for the first time. After much consideration I had to narrow them down to 4 subjects and general studies (which is compulsory, but isn't a real subject so it doesn't count). My choices don't involve any science as such but as the following shows, science isn't really nessersary. I don't need to study biology because I am studying Enlgish which pretty much covers sex and death. I don't need to study physics because I am studying maths wich will fufil my number crunching needs. I don't need to study physcology because I am studying theatre so I'll know all about hidde…

Slashdot has an article on this which seems to be the best place to start, because it has some convenient hyperlinks to specific places of interest. http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/06/26/0139251&from=rss

I assume those who love science must have played the game series--Resident Evil. I know it is fiction, but I want to get the idea of author of this game series of what he was trying to imply or illustrated in his theory. maybe I need to reveal this monster's pic in order to let you know: I know he was made of a real human. I read the guide published by Bradygames that he was made of 'specimen." Who has an insight of how this monster was made of? And when I played Resident Evil Remade into the very end, there was a lab where this monster was held. Also that there were many tanks that inside of them there were octupus-like ugly creatures--did they have to do with maki…

Did anyone see Spurs vs Piston series? Just a question. When the game held in Spurs court--SBC center, there was an opening background music that was from Space Jam. Who knows who is the singer and the theme of this song?

  7. I am 21 years old, I still think I can grow an inch or two in height. I know people always recommend to play swimming or basketball if needing to get taller. Do oyu think tennis is also a good one that can boost up your height? Because as you play, you need to explosive your feet all the time for getting the ball with a great balance.

Has anyone ever heard of Bigelow Aerospace? Here is a link to the site: http://www.bigelowaerospace.com This would be so awesome... I hope he follows through with it. The guy has a lot of money (owns a hotel chain in Las Vegas) and he has wanted to do it since he was like 14 so he's in it because it's his dream (not saying he wont do it for the profit too:) ). Maybe some competition could start to arise between him and Richard Branson (Virgin Galactic... http://www.virgingalactic.com/en/ ). I think there are a few others too. One of these has to make it right? Unfortunately, I don't think NASA will push space enough... it's probably going to be up to the private c…

He has strong compulsions to focus his attacks on the greatest scientists and best established theories. 4. He regards his colleagues, without exception, as ignorant blockheads. (note, this was not my list, i'll have to dig up where i got it) Scientific theories are characterized by such things as (a) being based upon empirical observation rather than the authority of some sacred text; (b) explaining a range of empirical phenomena; © being empirically tested in some meaningful way, usually involving testing specific predictions deduced from…

I'm going to Israel's Wiezmann's Institute this summer, in a pre-college research program. I get to pick from different labs and different projects. I know I want to do a bio project, but I can't decide which ones. Maybe someone could help me decide? The abstracts are available here: http://www.weizmann.ac.il/diff_angle/young/unit_e.php?line=179&sbline=1954 Thank you very much!

The NBA lockout is being heard everywhere. I still don't get it, does it mean that there is not enough ecnomical supply to NBA so they have to close like 1998? By the way, in your views, what teams of NBA next season will likely to give audiences a huge surprising change like the Suns did last season? I am thinking of Warriors. What do oyu think Warriors will be if Baron keeps healthy?

Who has seen NBA final Game 7? Before the very last 6 minutes, the game looked interesting. By then, pistons did not do well on defense, slacking off. If Piston came hard at the end, the result won't be like this.

i have heard that if you put bologna on a car and leave it for like 5 minutes it will strip the paint off and youll have a polka-dotted car. is there any truth to this? as a senior who just graduated, its important for me to know such things. are there any other substances that will damage a cars paint job? if egg is left on too long will it cause any damage? me and my friends like to get creative with the pranks, but i dont want to end up having to pay for a paint job.

subtitle is: A Wall Street Tycoon and the Secret Palace of Science That Changed the Course of World War II This book is great so far. The tycoon is Alfred Loomis who made a bundle in the stock market and had a penchant for doing physics. He built a lab at his house that was better than any physics lab at any US university in the 1930's. From experiments that he and others performed, he attracted many heavy weight scientists to his home. This is about as far as I have gotten. The great thing about this book is that it is only 8 bucks from Amazon as a hardcover. tuxedo park

The Onion this week is an absolute riot. Celebrating its 300th anniversary of being America's finest news source. (rofl) http://www.theonion.com/2056-06-22/index_b.php Some of my favorite headlines: "Lunar Olympic Officials Continue Search for Missing Pole Vaulter" "117-Aerocar Pileup Clogs Troposphere for Hours" "Time-Travel Pilots Union Dispute Resolved Instantly" My favorite feature is the Alert that says "Your browser does not support ambient alpha-wave memestreams. Concentrate here to upgrade." ROFL! (Okay, I've been spending WAY too much time on the Internet....)

I watched a movie this weekend - "What the Bleep Do We Know" - a truly thought-provoking, intiguing movie relating quantum physics and other sciences to perceptions, perspectives, realities, and more. My question is, "Have any of you experienced anything the people in this movie profess?"

I saw on the aviator about that guy, Howard Hughes, who has that disease. I can relate to it. I have actually been diagnosed with OCD. I am scared. The OCD started when I was seven and got progressively worse. I am scared that I will turn out like Howard Hughes. I am so scared. I don't want it to happen. Not to me. I can't handle the idea. I have the common symtoms, with the exception of the germaphobia. I don't know how to cope. Any suggestions??? Plz?
