We all want to know, what does your username and avatar mean? My username: my name IRL is Juliet, but at the time I was signing up for the board I wanted something a little more anonymous. I dont know why I chose "In My Memory", but I really liked the sound of it when it came to mind. My avatar: its a cartoon of me, and actually its not a bad resemblance. It was created with Yahoo! Avatars. Trivia and other things you probably didnt know: I found out some time ago that "In My Memory" is the name of a trance-styled CD, which takes its name from one of the songs on the disc. I bought the CD to see if it was any good, and the song "In My Memory" itself is a…

A truely interesting game, has a good amount of flow to it. It somewhat reminds me of the first part of the game Spore, the single celled organism part atleast. Once you play the game, you truely loose track of time, so watch it. http://intihuatani.usc.edu/cloud/flowing/

Quite a random thing happened today walking home, as I managed to bump into Anthony Stewart Head who's the guy who plays Giles from 'Buffy the vampire slayer' and the prime minister in 'Little britain'. I was quite taken aback at first, but my friend who's obsessed with Buffy, ran over to him hystericaly so I joined her and ended up talking to him for quite a while. He was genuinely a really nice guy and I found out his daughter, who im going to have to ''befriend'' is due to join my college in september. Anyway, have any of you met or know anyone thats famous?

When you read a book, what voice are you reading with? When you read this text, your mind is saying the words, but in whose voice. Yours? Mine varies. As an example, when I read something by Carl Sagan, its his voice I "hear", and now that I've heard Lisa Randall, I hear her sometimes. I want to know what others "hear", or do you just hear what you think is you? Bettina

As suggested by RyanJ I think we (users) should make a SFN staff award/poll. First question is what categories? We could use similar categories to the users awards: 1. Most helpful 2. Most knowledgeable 3. Most interesting 4. Best debater 5. Most enjoyable I removed the "most imporved" category (what do you think?). And here are some new ideas: 6. Best at moderating 7. Who would (when the time is right) be the most likely to be promoted to admin? What do you guys think? Feel free to suggest more.

This thread goes back to my school days when I used to listen to 'Steve Wright in the afternoon' on bbc radio one...it's quite simple, just follow the title. A few examples. I wish this spot was on the end of my nose. (SFN specific) No wonder creationism is popular, the evidence is irrefutable. I wish they'd bring back window tax, it makes so much sense.

I am thinking that we are looking at Mars, because the earth is getting closer to the sun, because the sun is slowly pulling the planets into it, and the earth will get to hot to have life on it, and Mars will be in position to accept life, just a thought ,

Okay, here's how this game works: I will start the game by saying a word, then the next person replies by saying what they think of when they hear the word I say. Then that person says another word and the next person replies with what they think of, and so on. Here's an example: X: Amphibian Y: Frog [that's what the next person thinks of]. The next word is animal [that's what the next person wants you to think of]. Z: Dog [that's what the next person thinks of]. The next word is yatiyatiya [that's what the next person wants you to think of]. Ok, I'll start: Ball

  19. On Saturday I went for a walk across the South Downs, just 2 minutes from where I live, we walked so far we decided not to turn back and walk back down and through a neighbouring town, I scraped the muck from my trainers (trying to make sure I didn't get any on my hands) with a stick and famished went to a deli to get a bacon and brie on ciabatta...mmm. 12 hours later I woke in my bedroom with the worst fever, and cramps I had since travelling, I rushed to the toilet...but was so delirious I collapsed off the toilet smacking my head on the sink and erm done my business on the floor, I was then violently sick...for some reason I decided to go back to my room because I…

Well we just moved house a few weeks ago, and we done the usual phoning energy suppliers, water supplier to inform them of a change of address et.c We are then told, after phoning Southern Water, that are bill is going to be £ 10 extra a month...the reasoning, because we're in a 'nicer' house. What the hell is that ! How does living in a bigger house constitute the amount of water we use...they won't budge with their reasoning, I can't believe they can get away with it. Am I missing something...or should I go to the 'office of fair trading.'

Does anyone in here like to watch the History Channel? There's going to be a documentary starting the 26th about some new discoveries about the last moments of the Titanic tragedy. There are apperently some new theories that could change how we look at what happened. Anyone planning to watch?
