Speculations Forum Rules

The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:

  1. Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
  2. Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
  3. Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.

The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

  1. So light doesn't need a medium to travel on, that's all fine and dandy. Why does light look like it is traveling on something? The energy that causes waves in a body of water, does that energy need the water to travel on? No! it doesn't. It is just energy that happens to be traveling with water in its way. I'm wondering is it possible that their is something in lights way and that is why it travels in a wave? I'm probably wrong but before you tell me i'm wrong, tell me why light travels like a wave.

Everybody knows this experiment -> http://en.wikipedia....rley_experiment Problem with that experiment was thought direction of ether "wind". Ether "wind" happens from inside of Earth. Only at North Pole ether is moving towards Earth. So Fresnel's theory of almost stationary ether is still valid

So the larger the mass a particle has, the smaller its radius. If individual particles can't exist without being in higher energy states in a neutron star, yet the gravity is strong enough to overcome that and shrink a neutron star, couldn't the wave functions combine thus creating a single particle with such a high mass that it's radius is unbelievably small but not infinitely small while simultaneously solving the problem of where the matter goes when there's no higher energy level for it to go to due to gravity?

(Please Note that upon making this formula I have seen many other formulas that run along this measures everything in the universe) By Universal Code I mean the theory that the universe runs on 1 theory The theory is _TS__ It means time and space over physical relativity but since time is a measurement and doesn't really exist Every formula man knows this is what I came up with Why physical relativity because you can feel gravity, the energy, and see it...even black holes or there devouring something. Space which means universe. And that's my walk around the equation theory on what the universe runs on.

Natural selection, genetic drift, speciation, change in allele frequency over time , these mechanisms/processes generate NO new genetic information, on the contrary selection and speciation thin genetic variation. They have NOTHING to do with the alleged origin of all life on earth being a single organism BILLIONS of years ago other than university teachers INTENTIONALLY omitting that they are NOT sufficient for alleged process. There is no source of bulk amounts of NEW genetic information. Neofunctionalization for the most part is delusional (look at someone with trisomy). CF, PKU, sickle cell anemia- ONE base substitutions. Teachers INTENTIONALLY omit that sick…

Time is the degree of variation between two points in space. Below is the equation the information plugged into the equation will be the observation of the observer. Everything with time is in reference of now that is always the starting point. Second point can be history, Future or another object right now... This is the scientific explanation justified with an actual verifiable equation... If you actually take the time to plug in some numbers you will find that TIME = DISTANCE this remove light from the equation which is our current misunderstanding of everything. Time was the measurement of the motion of light across the linear plane. NOW IT IS... ___…

"HIV" is a myth. Thabo Mbeki knew it, he knew his people were/are being targeted so to speak. Kary Mullis has a good 18:32 interview on youtube about it. Beri beri, pellagra, scurvy, once upon a time these were infectious diseases. Peter Duesbergs 'Inventing the Aids virus' covers it. He was approached with a paper with a slot for him to sign saying Koch's postulates has been met for it. The guy was having dinner with the editor of the journal 'Nature' that evening and said the paper would be published within the week if he signed it. He didnt sign it.

Something I have always enjoyed looking at and pondering about ever since I was a child, was optical illusions. They captivated me, as if saying "What you see is different than how I look." They can seem to be doing all sorts of crazy things like motion, transforming, etc. After many years of thinking I have come to the conclusion that the reason optical illusions exist is because our brains are wired (through evolution) to perceive things they have encountered. Our brains are not developed enough to look at an optical illusion and see it as a 2-d object. It registers something close to a 3-d object and automatically labels it as such. Everything around us is perceiv…

So, I was sitting around after reading Physics of the Impossible by Michio Kaku (a must read for any scientist,) specifically the chapter on extraterrestrials. I was thinking: If the universe is infinite, there are an infinite number of worlds, stars, nebulae, etc. So, it's kind of like having a relatively easy equation in an infinite amount of time. It might take you a little bit of time, and a number of screw ups (screw ups: Saturn, Mars, Venus, etc.) until you get the answer (Earth.) Even if the equation of making a planet is nearly impossible, you will eventually solve it. So, you get one planet with life, or even one that supports life, and a quadrillion worlds that…

Employing the formula for a dipole magnetic field, the field strength, at the surface, at earth's equator is: [math]B = \frac{1}{4 \pi \epsilon_0 c^2} \frac{m}{R_{\oplus}^3}[/math] [math]m = I A = \left( \mu R_{core} \omega \right) \left( \pi R_{core}^2 \right)[/math] where i have assumed, that the charge carriers generating the field, reside in earth's metallic core, near the surface of the same, in a toroidal belt about the equator of the same, carrying a charge per unit length of [math] \mu[/math] (see below). Ergo [math]B = \frac{\mu \omega}{4 \epsilon_0 c^2} \left( \frac{R_{core}}{R_{\oplus}} \right)^3[/math] Now, by simple integration, the voltage …

  17. Duplicate spare parts dealers are eating up to 20% of genuine spare parts market. 2D barcodes and other ideas have failed to stop it. This is a worldwide picture. Today, I am going to show you how duplication business can be stopped completely. Let us consider a well established gear manufacturing company named ABC for example. This ABC Company produces millions of gears annually as spare part for automobiles and two wheelers. The company puts each of them in attractive and costly packets, prints unique 2D barcodes on them. Company's name ABC is printed brightly and artistically on each packet. At the same time duplicate gear manufacturers also produce thousa…

The problem with the Big Bang Theory is that the Big Bang didn’t happen. What did happen, is happening and will happen, is Galaxy Spin. Like satellites around planets, and planets around stars, and stars around the galaxy, the galaxies themselves are turning in orbit. The Big Bang is based on two premises. One, there is cosmic background radiation everywhere; and two, the galaxies are going away from each other causing their light to be red shifted. With billions of stellar furnaces out there it would be surprising if there weren’t background radiation. As for the galaxies flying off to Neverland as the Big Bang tells you, it’s not happening. …

Is the Interpretation of Cosmological redshift misunderstood? A growing number of professional doubt the Big Bang theory. This video deserves a closer watch, - It shows that the problem the prevailing understanding is up against CAN be manmade. Notices there are 9 parts. - If the so called expanding property of the universe is nothing but an unnecessary human invention, a consequence is that the universe must collapse. How would a collapsing Universe really looks like? Could that happen right now, without we know? What would happen with background gravity (space-time) during a big crunch? Would a collapsing Universe, or collapsing clusters of galax…

Hello all, First of all, I just recently joined in this forum. So inevitably, I would be making mistakes and the like, so please forgive me in advance. Secondly, the reason I joined this forum is to get feedback on a thought I've been having for some months. I've written the thought in my blog, but naturally, I don't find any readership for my blog and I can't really get a second opinion for my thoughts. So I am posting what I wrote in my blog almost verbatim here. I hope that I am not violating any rules in doing so. As a disclaimer, I am nowhere close of being a scientist. I wrote this in some degree of embarrassment, knowing that I most probably am making s…

Post reply Jul 27 (3 days ago) I've decided after much thought, that to integrate Gravity with QM you have to get rid of General Relativity. Combining GR with QM is just not a viable possibility. Space-time has to be the flat space-time of Special Relativity. Now every successful theory to data has involved some sort of unitary representation, SO(2), SU(1), SU(2), SU(3). SU(4). and even higher for QM in general. All of them are some sort of Lie, division and/or Clifford algebras. So when Gravity gets merged with the rest of physics, it has to be in that form too, whether it's considered to be quantized or not. And there's a…

This brief paper describes how and why (credible causality) Sir Isaac Newton's gravity force can be described as a simple force of electromagnetic attraction; that is not only compatable with Einstein's gravity and relativity, but actually provides credible causality for it... Seeger Carbajal ElectromagneticGravity 1)… Introduction… Sunlight (the speed of light) takes approximately 8.3 minutes to reach the earth, so that when we see the sun in the sky, we are not seeing the sun where it is now, but we are seeing the sun where it was 8.3 minutes ago. Sunlight does not point back to the sun's true center of gravity, whereas gravity always points ba…

Conclusion It is essential to conduct the J.P. Cedarholm – C.H. Townes experiment (1959) on a moving vehicle relative to the Earth’s surface in order to establish whether the Theory of Relativity is accurate or not. Otherwise, we will never be able to say with certainty that the Theory of relativity is true, no matter how many experiments are performed and verified. Consequently, if the J.P. Cedarholm - C.H.Townes experiment (1959) is performed (using an experimental device that is in motion relative to the surface of the Earth) and it yields a POSITIVE result, then the Theory of Relativity (Special and General) is 100% FALSE!!!! Thank you.

Hit on head from parallel universe? Parallel universes have been turned down before on this forum. Here is a different, rather radical approach. How many times have I heard on TV that there could be a parallel universe only inches from us. I would always like to ask the lecturer how comes a carpenter in such close parallel universe, carrying a 2x4, does not hit me on head when turning around. So what is a universe exactly? Surfing for a definition found a great variety of them. Most loaded with lots of gobbledygook. IMO definition of a universe should be: It must have 3 linear spatial dimensions xyz. Throw in time and any number of hidden dimensions t…
