Moontanman
For some reason what appears to be a world wide prank of some sort is being reported on. A monolith was found in Utah and now what are though tto be copies have been found around the world from eastern europe to columbia 4 or five have been found. If it's a prank it must be rather expensive to place stainless steel monoliths around the globe. Anyone have any ideas or new reports? My fave take!
Area54
The UK one is reported here on the BBC's children's channel/site. It was produced by a local man who was amused by the Utah one. Plus this: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-55227034 and on Glastonbury Tor: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-somerset-55248257 Edited December 9, 2020 by Area54 Additional links.

HallsofIvy
That's obviously Wile E. Coyote who ran into the "monolith" while chasing the road runner. It even has "ACME" at the bottom!

iNow
My first thought was that it’s a clever social media marketing ploy to promote the Elon Musk SpaceX global internet network Starlink project. Just a random guess, though. Regardless, ‘it’s the season: Edited December 9, 2020 by iNow

I'm not sure I buy that, the one in Utah seemed a lot bigger, two men standing beside it are what I am using to gauge it's size.
TheVat
They are back. This one is in Wales. I liked the one that was inscribed with the words NOT BANKSY on its side. I wonder if monoliths are what happens when a crop circle maker learns to weld. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-wales-68547161 A mysterious monolith has suddenly appeared on a hilltop in Powys. The gleaming, silver structure was spotted by walkers on Hay Bluff, near the town of Hay-on-Wye on the weekend. Sprouting up out of the mud and measuring about 10ft (3m) tall, its discovery has led many to take to social media to question who put it there and why. Some have pondered whether or not the object could be of extra-terrestrial origin.... Edited March 16 by TheVat
