  1. Is anyone else keeping track of all the whistleblowers who've come out of the woodwork on youtube lately about UFOs? It's beginning to look serious guys... no I will not start another UFO thread... I won't I tell you... you can't make me!

  2. I recently watched a science video about the classes of stars and how they generate energy and it listed brown dwarfs as fusing deuterium, saying that deuterium was easier to fuse than straight up hydrogen and that deuterium fusion was how they got their meger energy... It also mentioned that some of them fused lithium because it was easier to fuse than hydrogen and deuterium. Is this true? If so why is lithium not used as fuel in fusion reactors if it is easier to fuse?
  3. If I was POTUS, when I was riding in the limo I'd put on one of those rubber alien heads roll down the window and wave to people.

  5. I thought they'd stopped using tritium in favor of lithium.
  6. Is anyone else getting an add before a page opens up?

  7. Interesting, I was thinking that two negative masses would attract the same way two positive masses would and both would repel each other. Thank you for the clarification.
  8. If we had a ball made of negative mass and a ball made of positive mass would they attract each other, repel each other, or would each only attract the same mass + or - . In other words would negative mass attract another negative mass like positive mass does but repel or attract a mass of the opposite mass?
  9. Communication with an alien civilization is but one possibility, at the time the idea was hypothesised the only reasonable contingency was to communicate with the civilization being studied. There are other possibilities, studying us and reporting back is but one, there could be several such probes in our solar system from different alien civilizations each with its own agenda. The UAP phenomena could be a study we simply do not know the reason for the intermittent exposure... often of technology just ahead of our own, see the alien airships sighted during the late 1800s. We are unlikely to understand the agenda of of an alien as we are the to understand the agenda of our own species in separate groups. It could be they are just testing the reaction we have to the unknown and reporting back all the odd (to them) behavior of Homo sapiens. A long lived civilization could place such probes in any planetary system just to wait as see if anything interesting evolves there. Interesting to them could mean anything. The point being is could we detect such a probe, the delayed echo radio transmissions mentioned in the link could be a clue. There are some such echos that are far too long delayed to easily be explained. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_delayed_echo The point of this is Brace Well Probes existed could we devise a means to find them. Hang on let me check.... yeah he/him would seem to be the obvious answer unless I'm pregnant and about to have a baby elephant... want to see it's trunk?
  10. In our many discussions about UFOs or UAPs I'm not sure we have ever discussed Bracewell Probes in any real detail and "if" the UAP/UFO phenomena turns out to be not of this earth I think the idea of a Bracewell Probe might be a viable explanation of not only where these objects originate but the concept might even explain some of their behaviors. A Bracewell Probe might have technological capabilities not predicted by Ronald N. Bracewell the originator of the concept in 1960. Not only could such a probe be combined with the concept of a Von Neumann probe the probe could build smaller drone type vehicles to explore and more closely observe the planets it was sent to watch it might even be capable of creating biological beings to direct or at aid it's observation of the target planetary system. Such a probe could remain dormant for thousands or even millions of years only occasionally observing the target planet and sending back data to it's creators. This would of course assume that the probes creators maintained interest over such huge time spans. The next question of course is how could we find or detect such alien technology in our solar system.
  11. Is anyone else into Trail Cams? The idea of spying on wildlife is fascinating to me, watching their behavior when they don't know anyone is watching can be very interesting but there are also some trail cam photos that are... not sure the words I should use but they are are either weird beyond belief and portray unknown phenomena or are hoaxed in ways i would love to know how it was done. A lot like magic tricks, you know there has to be a catch but the trick is not evident at all. This one is pretty good, mostly just candid shots of wildlife. If I come across any of the weird ones that seem to need explanation I'll post them. There is one of a little girl in the woods at night interacting with several wild deer and one really wild one of a little girl flying but the ones that just portray wild life being wild are most interesting.
  12. Could you arrange for your god to fix my car? the tranny is messed up.
  13. What is the purpose of life? To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women. With apologies to Conan.

Opera is a web browser similar to Chrome, although a little slower.
It was originally very compact but now has gained all sorts of extensions, and is available on multiple platforms, such as Windows, iOS, Android, etc.

  15. I once had a workshop I built in my attic and every time I would go up to do some work I noticed an old rocking chair that would be rocking as I turned to leave. The chair was in a difficult position to get to so I couldn't really get close enough to check it out but every time I turned to leave the attic that damn chair would begin to rock. To add to the eeriness of the situation that chair was an antique that belonged to a long dead relative who spent a lot of time rocking in that chair when she was alive. Finally one day after doing my best to turn quickly many many times to catch the apparition I finally figured out what was causing the chair to rock... My cat! My cat was following me into the attic sit in the chair and watch me and would always jump out of the chair as i turned to go. It would vanish down the stairs in the not so well lit part of the attic and leave the chair rocking. I was very glad to have figured that one out!
  16. So you've never had the shit kicked out of you by an unarmed man?
  17. With just the little help Ukraine received from NATO, even though Ukraine was not a member, has allowed Ukraine to pretty much hand Russia it's proverbial Ass on a silver platter. With the full help of NATO Russia would have been repulsed fully... probably even denied the Donbas region of Ukraine it took in 2014. In fact considering the poor showing of the Russian war machine so far NATO could have taken a considerable amount of actual Russian territory by now quite possibly taking the region between Ukraine and Kazakhstan with relative ease. In fact all things being considered without nuclear weapons Russia barely qualifies as more than a thorn in the side of Europe and its existence is a result of no one wanting the frozen tundra that makes up most of Russia. IMHO Russia's best bet to remain a viable nation would be to suck up to NATO as to become a source of natural resources possible even becoming part of NATO... instead Russia is doing its best to imitate a military threat to try and blackmail Europe into being Russia's bitch. Kinda like a Chihuahua trying to make a great Dane it's bitch. The time of warfare being used to dominate the world is over, this mind set is dead, somewhat like a zombie, now days the most effective way to insure internal peace and prosperity is by cooperation of nations and the real enemy is oligarchy using fascism to achieve internal control. IMHO! The Zombies have to be eliminated, the so called "conservative mindset", is little more than zombies trying to recreate the past of societies being run by the fear of various outdated ruling methods/monetary systems like communism, capitalism, theism, monarchies, or other oligarchies. These ruling systems are not just outdated they are toxic to human existence, yes small parts of some of these systems can be used to govern a region but none of them are viable for everyone in the long term. Violent conflict must be allowed to die out and peaceful tolerance of those who are different but non violent must become who we are as a planetary civilization.
