Immigration
Not in gerrymandered districts, they're not. What about companies like Walmart who employ more workers than nearly anyone else, yet rely most heavily on that same welfare you cite in order for their workers to survive? I don't see Walmarts profits declining... quite the opposite. You really need to do a better job of rooting your comments in reality than in biased fictions. This is very true and applies well to the massive / global chains of fast food, but is a more difficult argument to make for the smaller / local restaurants and mom & pop shops. If they are barely making ends meet and have 5 employees, paying each of them $15 instead of $10 (while the right thing to do) is very likely going to put many of them out of business. The same issue was felt more prevalently by them when healthcare coverage was required under ACA.

But as swansont already pointed out to you, our elected representatives very much are (except a tiny marginal handful of others here and there), and those are the ones writing the legislation.

Tech Giants Shutting Down Violent Social Media Cesspools
I created this thread, and I'm directly telling you it's off-topic. Please take these queries here instead: If you're unable or unwilling to comply voluntarily, I'll report your post so it's done for you. Thanks.

How unstable an equilibrium can animal populations become?
Talk to their marketing and PR departments, then. Or just chalk it up to human laziness when typing. What's the point of this thread, again?

And the business owners who are the ones required to pay this higher wage recognize it comes out of their own profit margin and so rather consistently fight against and attempt to block it.

We also have evidence of how preventing their use from these platforms DOES reduce and even eliminate the spread of their ideas. See, for example, what happened with Alex Jones and Milo Yiannopoulos... how their revenues dried up and their audiences scaled down in size by several orders of magnitude.

Trump Impeachment, the sequel- Split from: Tech Giants Shutting Down Violent Social Media Cesspools
And he was impeached on those charges, too... successfully. The question of his guilt was never decided, however, because the Republican controlled Senate rejected the articles of impeachment passed over by the House and refused to allow witnesses and further discussion... basically, a proper trial never occured. Again... this is not a thread about impeachment (unless you're suggesting tech companies have that power? granted... it wouldn't be inconsistent with some of the other ridiculous claims you've made in your various posts, but it's clearly off-topic here... ).

Many have, and work of law enforcement to ascertain their location and charge them with these things continues. It's like you're asking me if the water is running in the bathtub, how come it hasn't overflowed? Well... the water just got turned on a few seconds ago, dude. Wait a few minutes, will ya?

How unstable an equilibrium can animal populations become?
It depends. You need to be far more specific about the actual circumstances and species and protest involved.
-
How unstable an equilibrium can animal populations become?
It depends on the circumstances. Details matter. What is the environment and ecosystem under discussion? What prey and predatory animals are under discussion? The answer will differ based on those details. There is no "one size fits all" answer.

hijack from An infinite and eternal universe
Because light can never be at rest. By definition it always moves at "the speed of light," and thus it does not have a valid reference frame. A valid reference frame (at rest relative to something else) is required for the experience of time.

Derp... I'm gonna go get another cup of coffee, because I actually knew that before I typed! Thanks for the correction, sir

Trump Impeachment, the sequel- Split from: Tech Giants Shutting Down Violent Social Media Cesspools
Your premise is false. You're arguing against strawmen. There is no discrimination based on political opinions. The issue is intent to cause harm toward others, to incite violence, and to encourage sedition against a freely and fairly elected government in a Constitutional Republic. It's the hateful nazi views that are being suppressed. The fact that so many people (including yourself) see that as equivalent to suppressing your political opinion is itself rather telling about the validity of said opinion. Did you seriously just cite Geraldo Rivera as a constitutional expert?!?!? 🤣😂 🤣😂 🤣😂🤣 *** Gentle reminder to all that this is not the impeachment thread. This one is focused on technology companies clamping down on activities that lead to needless death and division.

Walker's Model of Governance 💢
Good and Evil are also relative terms contingent on subjective biases. What's evil to the prey animal is good for the predator, yet both exist in the same one society together.

Watch out for that term "energy." It's a specific thing in physics, but is also a term used by woo woo warriors who believe in hippy dippy nonsense. You spoke of energy being turned "back" into matter, for example. That suggests you don't understand that... exactly as Einstein's famous equation demonstrates.... matter IS energy... they are equal.

Ice cube experiment
If any of the cube is floating above the surface in its frozen state, will it not displace a greater amount of water upon melting into its liquid state?

Ice cube experiment
Wouldn’t he say it depends on how much of the ice cube is floating above the surface?

Blow to US Democracy -Split from: U.S. presidential election modelling
Thank you. I was about to politely ask you all to STFU so we could remain focused on the upcoming 2nd US civil war, but I’m glad it didn’t come to that. Maybe there is hope after all.

You’re clearly the exception not the norm, 5worlds. Also, that does nothing to address the OP questions

A good counter point for consideration. My thinking is such a statement from him would minimize, but not eliminate, the threats this week and next

Nothing can come from nothing so something always existed!
TBH I’m not terribly inclined to further explore your speculations or to care what you personally do and don’t feel is possible.

In which case, you’ve merely displaced the uncertainty to a time farther back. You have not removed it. It’s turtles all the way down, and at least our current turtles aren’t like yours drawn in crayon that’s red for some reason.
