Seen any good sculptures made from almonds lately? Note: no other nut-based sculptures may be discussed under threat of the ban-hammer!

My wife is a special education teacher, K-5. Among her many duties is actually teaching; although, paperwork consumes much of her time. All of her children need more attention, but a sp-ed teacher is often one-on-one with a student. Educational computer programs (special games) could help, but I have been unable to find either open source or free programs that would be helpful. Does anyone know of any free computer programs for this purpose? If so please leave links. tyvm

Another question I've come across while working on my animated series concept: What makes racing more exciting? Is it the speed of the race, or the noise of the vehicles, or the danger the drivers face? I'd like you to tell me as soon as possible so that I know how to make the hoverbike races more exciting.

Hey all, I talked to my mom today and asked her if I could use the extra room in the basement as a lab. At first she said "NO!" but I talked her into it and now I get to live at home for free and have my own laboratory. If I'm going to name my lab for professional purposes, I think I'm going to call in "In a lamp laboratories". My first project is to get my program (Genie) up on the internet. I fully intend for this project to be a non-profit project but I am going to need some funding which I believe I can get from kickstarter.com. Once I get this program on the internet, it should speed up the pace of scientific progress and make survival easier for everyone so I truly …

Another thing I just thought of regarding my alien reptile character. If she was able to exhale fire like a mythical dragon, what biological traits would she need to be able to do that?

My question is straightforward Would my hypothetical child be ugly if the sister of my girlfriend is very ugly? I ask this because my 19 yr old girlfriend is quite attractive- blond, blue eyes, size 8, etc and yet her older sister (age 21) is fat, ugly, wears glasses. The mother was relatively pretty bud she died when my gf was at age 3 so not alot of info i can add there. Is my girlfriend capable of producing an attractive child or do i simply pass on her in the long term due to the risk of producing a dud child. I am a white male age 20, 180cm, 80kgs and look above average imo

Another problem involving my animated series concept. First, here's the female lead: Secondly, she's on the team representing Canada, whereas her home is a far off planet full of giant trees and humid weather with lots of rainfall. Canada isn't much like that. This is a character I've worked really hard on, and I don't want her to stick out like a sore thumb. So how can I change her to fit in more with being on the Canadian team?

Someone is trying to get my newest YouTube video taken down for false copyright claims. I even made sure that the sound effects used in this video were legal to use for commercial purposes. More proof: http://www.freesound.org/people/Bidone/sounds/173145/ http://www.freesound.org/people/jobro/sounds/35686/ http://www.freesound.org/people/swim...sounds/165196/ http://www.freesound.org/people/XxBirdoxX/sounds/52293/ http://www.freesound.org/people/digi.../sounds/57608/ All of the above samples are perfectly legal for commercial use. Whoever is trying to get rid of my video should have know that, and so should YouTube.

Got surprised at a restaurant where a paper strip around the flatware, like to keep them together, had its patent printed on it. Was going to attach a photo; but found it on the web to show : ----> http://www.flickr.com/photos/bunnyhero/5016909008/

"why is nasa more important than feeding starving people?" I have heard this question a lot lately. (with the implication that nasa funding should spent on something elses like humanatarian aid but I have heard other variations such as sugesting the us should focus on its infustructure instead of having its head in the clouds) it is hard to try to explain that advanseing technology will help everyone... what are good argeuemtns for spending on nasa as oposed to giving it to starving people somewhere or on schools etc?

Here's an issue that's been bugging me for a while now. It seems to be expected from a man to pay drinks and dinner, and whatever else comes along (taxi, tickets to the concert) on a first date. Why is that? If we would be living in the early 1900's, I would fully understand. The man has a job, the woman was expected to take care of the household. Women had no right to vote, had worse jobs than men, and were generally seen as a lesser creature than a man. The one with the (higher) income paid the date. Makes sense. But it's 2013. We moved on. We learned from our mistakes. (Young) women nowadays often have jobs too. Good jobs. Emancipation has overcome all differ…

This weekend, I went to a certain 'Museum' and learned quite a bit. For instance, how antibacterial resistance works: I also learned that the ancient Greeks in Athens mocked Paul and Christianity over 500 years before Paul was even born. Unfortunately, I didn't think to take a picture of that one.
