Where is the forum for this subject? I would really appreciate if we could organize ideas of this field and would appreciate that others be distinguished in this sense. Please do not tell me that it is General Science, because that does not establish it in my mind. Thanks.

I just started watching series 9 of stargate. I live in the UK so the second episode was only broadcast last night on sky one. I've missed quite a few episodes, as I don't watch it as religiously as I used to in the past, however I was quite shocked to see the changes. Nearly half the cast have been replaced. And weirder yet two characters from farscape seem to be in it. Have stargate and farscape merged somehow or is it just coincidence that the producers chose to use two characters from that series?

Well I'm back online. Hurricane Wilma knocked us out early Monday morning. Of all the storms we've had lately, that was the most severe. We had some generator power but no phone so no Internet. Thankfully no serious damage to the house. I spent all day Monday and Tuesday dragging debris out to the street. It's crazy all the stuff we've been having lately. I saw maybe a couple of hurricanes from 1995 (when I moved down here) to 2004, and since then it's just been insane. In fact, we've had three eyes pass within a couple of miles of our house in the past three months. Unbelievable.

Just a couple of links to pics of my White Trumpet pitcher plants that I took earlier in the season. Now all the traps are so stuffed full of dead bugs they're almost falling over, the gluttonous tings. Two pitchers With my hand for scale The pitchers themselves stand about 18" above the soil surface. Exceptional individuals of the species can reach 3 feet tall. Mokele

I haven't posted anyhting on here in a long time, but I am getting to the point where I have to seriously start thinking about my career. I am interested in the animal sciences andmaybe some psychiatry. I also very much enjoy writing. I was just wondering how some other people stumbled upon their jobs and whether or not they are where they wish to be at the moment. What would be the best way to deciding on what to do? Thanks Fellowes

So, yeah, I've come out of the woodwork just like all the "I have a theory of the universe!" people pitching my crazy ideas which are totally disconnected random thoughts of my own which really have nothing to do with reality, just the patterns I put together as I see them. Of course, this is all a house of cards built on assumptions, and in pitching them to people with experience in the field, I see they quickly fall apart. And when I ask for explanations, people are reluctant to give them to me, most likely because I lack the background to understand them and therefore such explanations would fill a novel. As I read these forums more it has become painfully cle…

Let me start off by saying that i am a person that must have things proven to him before he can belive them. with that said i want to discuss some of those things that the scientific community would opp. to just say that "it is just not possible", and for referencce i have asked this on a little more err "mystic" forum to get some results as well i want feedback from both sides. So here is what i want to know peoples views on, and if you can't prove anything just go ahead and submit it and let everyone pick aprt, especially me, well here it goes: Telepathy, Telekinesis, Time-Travel, aliens etc:. please don't think i am some weirdo and that this is all i think about I just…

In Our Time is an awsome radio programme on Radio 4 (in the UK) on thursdays at 09:00 and 21:00. Bragg gets a few experts into the studio and they talk through all kinds of cool subjects. He makes sure they clearly explain the ideas, and don't overrun into esoterica. What's extra exciting is that all the programmes are online, in Real player* format or podcast. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/history/inourtime/inourtime_archive_home.shtml Enjoy * If you're on windows, you might wanna get Realplayer Alternative, which is windows media player classic with a RM codec.

Yes yes I know. This has been posted too many times, but after doing a search of the forums I still haven't found a satisfactory experiment for a science fair. I am a 10th grade student. I'm mostly interested in chemistry and physics experiments, as well as engineering. Financial-wise, I can spend about $500. The project has to be an experiment, and I'd like to do a particularly difficult one, if possible (but not TOO dangerous). Any ideas? Thanx a lot!
