  1. I used to play the old EQ, had a 63 Duid on Sollun Zek...what is now just the gay zek server. Mainly play world of warcraft now though on Smolderthorn server. Would like to try EQ2 though
  2. Well hell, i would love to be rich and powerful, but i still like alcohol and sex. Although the drug part doesnt apply to me i dont understand what that would have to do with wanting power.
  3. Ok, i guess i confused myself. I just assumed that if it was being pulled by a force faster than light, that thats the speed it would travel at.
  4. K, i guess while im at it, might as well post yet another stupid question. Nothing can travel at the speed of light except light right? But, when matter is pulled into a black hole with a force that is faster than the speed up light, isnt it being excelerated to the speed of light, of not, even faster? And what happens to it when it does? Thx in advance. Btw, i did look in wikipedia lol, and while it did have alot of info, didnt find exactly what i was looking for.
  5. There is something i dont quite understand. Maybe this is just a newb question so flame away but, here goes. How do black holes "suck in" light, if it has no mass? Or does it have mass? I googled this but didnt really find anything, so if anyone could explain this in a easy-to-understand way ( thats right, imagine your talking to an idiot =P ) id be grateful.
  6. Why is it that we as humans can go about our day to day lives without ever getting sad or wondering what the point is? I mean if you follow a religion they ok, i can understand that, but for the rest of us intelligent people what is the point? One day, we WILL grow old, and our entire conscious thought will die out making anything we ever did, felt, or thought, practically obsolete, except to those who are left behind to read it, who will also die anyways. I think there is something in the brain that makes people just over look all of this, and want to continue living. Anyone else think about this?
  7. Holding your breath or keeping your hand on the mouse has nothing to do with it. I stared at it without holding my breath, and then looked at the wall, and got the same effect.
  8. I have the same problem at the end of every summer when its time to go back to school =P luckily this year im done with school =D. Usually start with me being up all night and getting my entire sleep schedule messed up like mezarashi said. In the last few days i usually just force myself to get up at like 6 each morning, that way you WILL be tired in the evening around 9ish,and thus getting back on the "normal" sleep pattern.
  9. People like to communicate with other people. Weather it be real - life face to face, or over an internet site. Communication is communication.
  10. I know exactly what you mean. I guess i feel the same way about myself too, always thinking about stuff , seeming like a nerd to normal people etc... but, we arent special. One day we'll die, be forgoten, and everything that weve ever learned, worked for, or thought about, will die with us.
  11. Thanks alot In My Memory and TheGeek. Yeah, i figured i was doing something very wrong, and in the end i really just confused myself and had no idea where to even look for what was wrong. Guess the biggest problem was that i didnt know about the open for append funtion. Well, anyways, thanks again for the help guys.
  12. Was wondering if anyone here could help me with a little problem with vb. Im trying to make a program that:opens a text file, goes to the end, and adds 1 line of code. So that basically every time i clicked the button, the text file would have 1 more line in it. This is what ive made so far, but it doesnt work for some reason: Private Sub Command1_Click() Dim before As String Open ("C:\news.txt") For Input As #1 While Not EOF(1) Line Input #1, before Wend Close #1 Open ("C:\news.txt") For Output As #1 Do Until EOF(1) Seek #1, Loc(1) + 1 Loop Print #1, before & vbCrLf & "new text line" Close #1 End Sub Im not that great at vb, not sure if ive gone about this all the wrong way or what, but would really appreciate any help.
