Einstein's presently abandoned Unified Field reinstated w'out mathematics. The joining of Field with Quantum Mechanics. The exclusion of politics from science. A scientific paradigm shift in alliance. The serene world of science panics, at the bogey of quantum mechanics. Democritus foresaw the invisible atom, but since then his discovery is found with substratrum. From antiquity, and in ubiquity the continuous wave was the rave, the lodestone magnet, the compass; and transparent field - all were known to be electrostatically real. Faraday found the cathode ray.. Thompson uncovered the electron one day. Then Rutherford discovered the neutron in a different wa…

Hi, I posted here a few weeks ago. I am running a visual cognition experiment through my Web-based laboratory. I need large numbers of subjects (about 2000). So far I'm about 1/4 of the way there -- thanks to you who have participated -- which isn't bad for just one month. If you haven't yet participated, please do: vacognition.wjh.harvard.edu/VSTMTime The main page (vacognition.wjh.harvard.edu) also has other experiments and links to more information about Web-based experimenting. When results are known, they will be posted on the website, and you can also sign up for an email announcement when the results are posted. Thank you, Josh

A friend sent me this video, not sure if anybody has already seen it, but a warning... it 'is' very harrowing, and illustrates (very graphically) the inhumane treatment of dolphins in Japan. It's clear to see the distress of these mammals, with or without the narration. http://www.glumbert.com/media/dolphin There's also a petition, if anybody is interested in signing. http://www.PetitionOnline.com/golfinho/ Now, as much as I respect other cultures, and in some cases that entails the food they eat...but I can't see that this treatment is justified at all, I'm actually baffled that this is still allowed, especially to 'clearly' intelligent mammals.

Hello, I am 25 years old and for the past week I have been experiencing dizzy spells and lightheadedness when I move my head and look around. I have also been getting sharp headaches behind my left eye and on the sides of my head. They are causing my anxiety issues to begin and I am getting very nervous. I am so terrified of getting an anwurysm or tumor especially now that I have a baby. I am frightened and wondering if I should go to outpatients. Can someone help me?

hi, I had a project due a day before yesterday but I did not hand it is as I was not able to complete it. I thought I would do it yesterday but I could not do it. Now, I was going to do it today but still could not do it. The problem here is that I am not feeling like doing anything at all. All I am wanting to do is just go to sleep, and that's it. I am loading myself up with my tons of late homeworks/projects and it's really stressing me off. Any suggestions on what I can do to change what I want to do.? thx!

http://www.amazon.com/Asshole-Rule-Civilized-Workplace-Surviving/dp/0446526568/ref=pd_ts_b_10/002-1987816-1968818?ie=UTF8&s=books I just noticed that this book is #10 among all books that Amazon sells, that means it is up there with Harry Potter and the top diet and selfhelp books. The book is titled The No Asshole Rule Has anybody seen a copy? According to reviews, the book gives a number of case stories of different types of bully (aka "asshole") and studies the loss they cause in terms of productivity----and why assholes are tolerated much of the time despite the damage they do to the company. I thought it was remarkable that bullying should be see…

I'm curious as to whether any of you play either Warhammer Fantasy Battle or Warhammer 40,000 (Games Workshop's LotR game doesn't count ). I've noticed large populations of the gamers on certain imageboards and other forums, so i'm wondering how widespread it is over here.

I thought I would put this up so that all members could craft their own story on this thread. Here are the rules: -This is a Sci-Fi story. -Use only 15-25 words to continue it. -No consecutive posts. If you make one, you have to wait until someone else puts up a post before you can do it again. -This story is not really intended to have an end, so don't expect one. -You are free to drastically change the plot if you wish. -NO SPAMMING ALLOWED!!! This is intended to be a fun thread and use of imagination is encouraged.

Hey everyone. I've run into a little conundrum recently, relating to my applications for financial aid and college and such. It's a rather complex situation, so i'll try to describe it to my best ability if anyone's willing to help. There are two people involved in this: me, and my estranged biological father. I have not seen my father in twelve years, and in fact am very hesitant to want anything to do with him again, since he's not exactly a very rational person (in fact, he's insane). He pays child support, however, and also happens to be a Vietnam War veteran. His Vietnam War veteran status is what i'm considering to use to get certain scholarships, since i'm…

As recently I’ve been getting slightly bored of where I live/England in general, a few months ago I decided to defer my entry to Uni and take a gap year to go travelling. I’m currently working stupid amount of hours to save up for this but I still need to work out where I’m gonna go. I may travel with a friend but I’d rather have the freedom to go where and do what I want so I will most likely travel by myself. Anyway I’m in desperate need of some inspiration and or tips on travelling so I thought to be great to hear about the places you've travelled to before. What it was like, what was good, what was bad etc?. I'll start. For me, so far Russia was probabl…

In 1992, the state board of Texas Education discussed raising performance standards and levels of expectations for all students. One of the obstacles to this goal was the existence of the below level courses in English language arts, mathematics, and science. These courses tended to isolate low-performing students and to minimize expectations of them. Accordingly, the board adopted the schedule for phasing out below level courses. Correlated Language Arts I, Fundamentals of Mathematics, Consumer Mathematics, and Introductory Physical Science did not satisfy graduation requirements after the 1991-92 school year. After the 1992-93 school year, Correlated Language Arts …
