Speculations
Pseudoscientific or speculatory threads belong here.
The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:
- Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
- Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
- Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.
The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

Our world is composed of four dimensions. However if each component of space has individual "time", what would happen especially on the electromagnetic phenomena? Of course those times must be almost equal with each other since we haven't yet observed any break of isometry of time in the space. I tried to introduce those virtual three times into Maxwell's equations as; http://hecoaustralia.fortunecity.com/maxwell/maxwell.htm

According to a scientist named Albert Roy Davis, magnetism consists of two separate energies with opposite effects. The North pole has a counterclockwise spin and causes matter to contract while the South pole has a clockwise spin and causes matter to expand. Davis and Rawls describe in their first book, Magnetism and Its Effects on the Living System, that the currently accepted method of showing the lines of force of a magnet (Faraday's) is incorrect. There are other incorrect conclusions according to Davis and Rawls regarding the directional flow of magnetic energy. Here is what they have to say about Faraday's method. "The use of a flat piece of paper with iro…

Critical Self-Consciousness I once asked a professor of philosophy what is philosophy about, she said “philosophy is about radically critical self-consciousness”. I have decided that CT (Critical Thinking) is the first important step on to this stage of critical self-consciousness. CT is philosophy light. Our mind tends to be dominated by the ego and the group when we have not yet become critically self-conscious. I am not an expert in these matters (such has never hindered me from expressing my considered opinion) but from the things I read regarding critical self-consciousness they make sense to me. Ego influences me by: I think it is true therefore it …

FREE FALL OF BODIES 3-body problem (special case) According to the Newton's Mechanics: Let us consider a mass M of radius Ro. At a distance h from the center of this mass M, we place a spherical shell (e.g a spherical elevator) of mass m1 and radius R. Moreover, at the center of the spherical shell we place another point mass m2, (m1 ≠ m2). Now t= 0 (Phase I), we allow these three masses m1, m2, M to move freely under the influence of the force of universal attraction. Let us also assume that after a time dt (Phase ΙΙ), υ1, υ2 and V are respectively the velocities of masses m1, m2 and Μ, relative to an inertial observer Ο. Note:Masses m1, m2, and M are c…

There is no 3-dimensional edge to spacetime. There is an "edge" to its expansion, which is the "arrow" of entropy. The expansion and the "fact": the universe has no (Euclidean) boundary, are related. The "vector" of time (Time's arrow) is obviously not a real quantity, but belongs in the imaginary realm. Is it still logically consistent to say the vector (of time) is measurable? Of course. How should it be modelled? Do we only have a single point we can consider? This last seems to, in fact, be the case. We need to invent, for ourselves, some point; a reference, to be able to take the pulse of anything we call "motion": the movement of mass -(ourselves, with our sing…

This will be very quick, but I would be interested to see what those here can come up with... it is more of a brain game for the cosmologically inclined (ie. how could you test this crackpot theory? ): What if the Brane and Big Bang theories actually can coexist? If for instance the "big bang" was less about matter, and more of an explosion of physical law? In this thought of mine, energy+law= a universe. I would therefor not define the result of the big bang as a "universe", but more of an instantaneous definition of the laws under which this universe exists. A tabula rasa onto which the matter has yet to be "written". I will call this portion of the univ…

During my recent research endeavors I came across an intriguing concept; that of zero point energy. I have spent hours attempting to learn more and gain a better grasp, however I cannot find any reliable unbiased web sites from which to gather further information. If anyone could provide a reliable site or elucidate on the topic it would be much appreciated.

For the sack of agurement, lets say that once a person dies there is no heaven or hell for him to go to, lets even say thats the end of him( lets call him Max), so once Max dies the only thing remaining of him in the universe is his memory which is stored in living ppls minds and pictures:eyebrow: Now Max who just die would'nt feel anything right since nothing remains, and the consence being which once stated himself as (me) is no more, this is one possible part, next it could be that he finds himself saying i again,,, but this time in a different newly consence being (and this time he goes by the name Maxter) ALL OF THE ABOVE IS purely based on that saying which g…

Is ATP use on its own a factor in evolution. To what extent I mean is by use of ATP do biochemical pathways and interactions chiefly carry from. Giving the idea of epistatis and norm or reaction is the use of ATP dynamic in consequence of overall species metabolism in relation to the environment. I can think of some ways that such might be tested for but I was wondering if someone has already come across such research also before I do speculate.

About the philosophy of the negation of the axiom of choice I refer to set theory with urelements ZFU as in "The axiom of choice", Thomas Jech, North Holland 1973. Let us assume the negation of the axiom of choice and that space of particles is U of ZFU. Let U1xU2X....XUiX...... be the void set with Ui a set of locations. We can see the Existence and the Non Existence linked, contradicting the Existence of Parmenides and the Becoming of Heraclites. We can see the Infinite and the Void tied up in an unexpected way. We can see that Non Existence is closer to the Infinite than to the finite. We can see that we can apprehend space with mathematics in a wa…

How Can U Say It Wouldn't Truly Be The Universe If It Ended, The Universe Means Nothing It's Just A Name Us Humans Gave It. The Universe Doesn't Mean That It's Everything Accept For What We Can See/know Which Could Possibly Described As Everythng, It's Easy Just To Say The Universe Is Everything But Until We Have Gained The Technology To See Beyond The Horizons Everyone Is Going To Have To Keep Guessing. Who Know There Could Be A Totally New Universe Where Fire Is Cold An Ice Is Hot, All Our Intelligence On The Subject Is Gatherd On What We Know And What Is Normal Like The Universe Can't Go On Forever That Is Jus How We See Things We Find It As Abnormal, But Gravity Is Ab…

Ok, this was an idea I came up with one day while being sick. If you were to put a mechanical/chemical object down in say a body of water, say 100 feet down. Say you had it explode releasing a fine mesh of carbon nanotubes(I added the tubes recently) holding together a hydrophobic gel. Could the pressures along with the mesh hold a dome of the gel together, say the pressure was caused by maybe differentiation of the gel along with various layers of the mesh screen to create and internal environment for people to occupy. Basically you have the initial pop, it starts to expand the gel which in turn is meshed with the tubes that give a skeletal structure of sorts f…

Synopsis A thought experiment is used to investigate the effects of the invariance of the velocity of light in a Newtonian environment. This reveals an apparent inconsistency, in that two observers can receive different time signals from a distant transmitter, even though they are adjacent at that moment. The inconsistency is resolved by adopting a novel conceptual framework, a simultaneity-time continuum, in which the physical relationships between macroscopic objects remain Newtonian but the observed relationships can, and will, differ. Introduction Galilean Invariance (which is also referred to as Newtonian Relativity) is a form of relativity that was or…

I can explain the Bullet Cluster. I can explain the unusual gravitational lensing. And the flat galactic rotation curves in spiral galaxies. It's all very simple, and it involves Dark Energy, but not Dark Matter. But nobody here would read my explanation, they'll carry on wasting years on neutralinos and other exotica because they have no real understanding of particles and the Standard Model. And they'll doubtless call me names to boot, so I guess I'll pass.

If a blackhole hypothetically speaking could be some form of a phenomena similar to a false vacuum I have two questions. 1) If per say these two items are related, and supposing a different quantum universe or event(or events) is then on a receiving end is there anyways to gauge whether the behavior of a blackhole is the way it is because the two events physics don’t match? 2) I also don’t understand exactly what all can escape a blackhole, but just like in first question what would come through if anything? To elaborate if needed. The laws of physics as we understand them have been postulated by some as a product only existing in this universe if this univer…

While reading the article "Can this experiment identify dark matter?" on Physorg, [link]http://www.physorg.com/news112281907.html[/link] I began to think of a similar experiment, however a little different. But would the science of Sonoluminescence and the experiment "http://www.techmind.org/sl/" have anything in common. Since the orgin of the bubbles found in the Sonoluminescence experiment have yet to be explained, is it possible that the bubbles/energy bursts that are created are resulting from dark matter interactions? Please ignore if you dont care. This is a random thought/theory that has no backing whatsoever.

Every thing, every object and particle, every photon of energy and wave of matter is where it is now, at the end of the next comma, only because of every single event, every oscillation, every change of phase and every orbit of every electron or star about a galaxy, since the very first event. This is according to the most successful description of our universe that has been built so far. Looking up at some distant star, it is hard to conceive of any connection to it, but there is some remote. There is a connection. The light that has crossed the universe to effect the recoil of electrons in your eyes is this very thing. Perhaps this light sped unerringly to the ele…

The relativity of motion in space relative to the inertia phenomena is a subject that no one can seem to agree upon. It seems no one can make up there mind either. But, if we all we to take a deep breath, and approach this difficulty by thinking "outside the box," we would find there is a easy way to go about this difficulty. Let’s go back to the basics and see what we can come up with. Assuming motion cannot exist without reference, the first thing that needs to be done is we need to define motion relative to the inertia phenomena. Let us simplify this statement by saying, "We need to define motion in space relative to space" (spatial reference) If we imagine the uni…

(sorry if this is in the wrong board) Hello, I have a question about my force field...or I am just guessing that this is what it is. I've done things that I can NOT explain to myself. I wonder about them a lot. For example: today, I walked into my English class and no one was in there. The lights were off. But right when I stepped in the lights all came on. The lights closest to me flashed on and the lights came on in rows. The furthest came on last. Like a wave. It was very eerie to me (just not knowing what was happening.) And the switch for turning the lights on were DOWN! This has happpened before. ANd also, I got into a very heated argument yea…

This discussion is presented for the active scientific imagination. Back in the 1950's before particles accelerators changed the focus of physics, this type of thinking was more in line with the theory of the times. There were fewer variable to consider making it seem more possible. Here is the scenario, say we found some type of futuristic technology that could generate the four forces of nature, to any level, and could allow whatever input or output energy needed. What type of basic conditions would be required to make new atoms like bi-centenium with 200 protons? With this technology, one is not limited to all the natural limits of nature. For example, a dog m…

Isn't the data we are discussing the time delay between gamma and the cool energy from a blackhole? If you are correct, this can not be blackhole since something is escaping. One of the conceptual misunderstandings of GR is the nature of a GR reference. If we had an SR reference, with a block of solid D2, because of the distance contraction in our reference, we would see the block appear to get skinnier. At a high enough velocity, the atomic distances would appear to look like nuclear distance, such that, based on what we see, fusion should begin. But it will not, since in the moving reference, the distances remain the same. It is still just a block of solid D2, sit…

During some process prior to this very moment in which I am typing this, energy was somehow brought into existence in this Universe. Or I wouldn't be typing this. That directly indicates that there is a physical process capable of bringing energy into existence (or into the Universe from an "outside" source, at least), does it not? Even if this process occurred (or occurs) outside of the space-time continuum and thus has no causal origin, the process still is possible. And since there is nothing that indicates human technology will cease from rising to the level in which it can influence the "fabric" of space and time, then it is reasonable to believe that hu…
