Hi, my software teacher couldn't really help me here as I am way ahead of the course so I thought I would ask you guys. I am wanting to code a 3D environment but am unsure what language to use.I don't want to be using openGL or anything as I want to write the basics myself. So here is my question, what language would be most appropriate? I have very good knowledge of JavaScript so something that is similar syntactically would be ideal. C++ seems too much effort to make use of graphics so I thought Java might be alright but I thought I would seek professional advice first, any thoughts?

How could we teach HTM based robotics to move? It seems simple to teach them that they have limbs and to know the location of said limbs. However, I don't know how we could teach them how to use them. Would we need random signals uploaded on the machine to generate random movements for it to learn? Would we need to just stimulate the limbs externally?

I'm sure we all can agree that a human couldn't build a modern computer from raw materials. Someone can assemble the components (CPU, motherboard, hard drive, etc.) but automated machines are required to etch the millions of transistors onto a CPU and manufacture many of the other components. These machines themselves are very sophisticated, and I imagine building them requires other machines. With this chain of machines building machines, what is the risk of civilization losing a vital link in the chain? For instance, what if we somehow forget how to build the machines that manufacture CPU etchers? As the existing CPU etchers wear out, wouldn't the supply of new …

For several personal reasons, I suspect that my dad put a keylogger in my computer and was trying to keep an eye on what I am doing online. I am a bit fed up with him as he overcontrols me too much. I can't tell exactly wich keylogger he uses. I'v heard that some keyloggers are completely undetectable, that's horrible. Plz, is there anyway to detect the keylogger in my Mac?

I have an old Dell (Vista) laptop I'm using for controlling things in a play and am trying to get a handful of keys to play particular sound files on demand, without leaving the Powerpoint screen. Any ideas welcome. Already tried Intellitype, but can't seem to access the keys, let alone reprogram them.

I am currently taking an undergraduate level computer architecture course and I am having a little bit of difficulty with a homework question. The question is asking us to determine whether or not overflow has occurred based on whether the leading digit of the binary sum is 0 or 1. If overflow occurs, the final output is supposed to be 1. If it does not, the output should be 0. Honestly, I am not sure where to begin with this. I was considering using an adder and feeding the output into a MUX as the operational line, but then I wasn't sure what I'd use as inputs. I'm assuming that an adder and MUX are the correct tools to use, but I guess I'm just unsure about the ent…

So I have already taken the old earth magnets out of my REALLY old computer hard drive and now I have this printer. I was wondering, before I get rid of it, if anyone knows of any useful parts inside? I am probably not going to be building any cylons or anything anytime soon so robotic parts are less useful to me. But magnets or something like that is always fun to keep around. Anyone have any knowledge of what is good to keep from a printer before I get rid of it?

Hi everyone, I have a problem about an exercise. If main memory's split into 4 sections with size: 600K, 500K, 200K, 300K ( by order ), and 4 proccesses with size: 212K, 417K, 112K và 426K ( by order ). How those proccesses would be allocated to main memory if using : a) First fit b) Best fit c) Worst fit Which is the most effective in using memory? I've found 2 answers for this. One with external fragmentation, another with internal fragmentation. I can't make up my mind. Which is the correct answer? Please help me. Thank you.

Hi all, I DJ various events, and I am looking to setup a website to stream the audio live over the internet. I'd like my site to be a little more clean cut, ranter than use some third party source.. In short I want the user to be able to type in my url, and the live audio immediately starts streaming.. I know the basic HTML/CSS, however I really don't know where to start with this. Any advice or suggestions about reasources or starting points would be greatly appreciated!
