I find the [...] button at top right doesn't work this morning, so I can't edit my posts.

Is the problem my end or it is the website?

Let's see...

This was added to my post, so I was able to edit my post.

I reported your post as a test. It seemed to work. I could write why I reported the post, and I could submit that report. But I don't know what's supposed to happen after that. I couldn't locate anything to say that I reported your post.

I should remark that I am using a desktop PC.

Let’s see

Like KJW, I was able to edit (but there’s always the chance having the moderator flag set in the software makes thing different for)

Maybe a browser issue, that gets fixed by restarting it?

OK thanks all, seems to work from my tablet, so I’ll restart the browser on my laptop and see if that does the trick.

Chrome issue?

Edit: Edit working

Hmm, restarting has not fixed it on the laptop. But as it works on the tablet, must be a laptop issue. Very odd. Better delete cookies and try again.

That didn't work either. I'm stumped. I'm on Safari with a Mac.

I have done some editing today on my W10 desktop in Firefox without noticing a problem, but I haven't tried to report anything.

The quick brown fox jumped over

ETA: the lazy dogs.

Working here.

With SFN open on your browser press Command+R and try again, or even try from a Private / incognito window

Tried Cmd R and logging in using the Private function and still no luck.

I may have to wait for the next OS update, I guess , and see if that fixes it.

Try clearing your browser's cache.

I've had sundry problems with the way the forum has been behaving (not the members) lately.

Clearing my cache helped a lot.

Thanks but I have already tried that.

Safari has given me trouble on one or two other websites, notably when I tried to get a subscription to Nature updates. I gave up on that one in the end.

But the funny thing is that this glitch has just appeared out of nowhere, having worked fine before.

Also I wonder how much has been going wrong recently as a result of the Amazon Web Services debacle ?

Edit

Or one of the other attacks on big names.

Have you considered essential oils, or maybe a homeopathic remedy?

I don't think that this platform has essential oils activated. Would need a higher subscription tier than we have.

😄

Today, I was unable to vote on certain posts (neither for nor against).

Therefore, I hacked this site by following the procedure below:

Ctrl-U to open the source code.

Ctrl-F and searched for “downvote” and found a piece of code, i.e.:

							<li>
								<a href='https://scienceforums.net/topic/139534-the-tibetan-cretins-of-the-himalayas-should-be-attacked-on-a-spiritual-plane/?&amp;do=reactComment&amp;comment=1302070&amp;reaction=7&amp;csrfKey=e60d72a2e6e187a42e19c1f62069af79' class='ipsReact_reaction' data-role="reaction" >
									<img src='//media.invisioncic.com/w334195/reactions/react_down.png' alt="Downvote" data-ipsTooltip title="Downvote" loading="lazy" width="120" height="120">
									<span class='ipsReact_name'>Downvote</span>
								</a>
							</li>

I copied and pasted the URL from the <a> tag into a new tab in my web browser:

https://scienceforums.net/topic/139534-the-tibetan-cretins-of-the-himalayas-should-be-attacked-on-a-spiritual-plane/?&amp;do=reactComment&amp;comment=1302070&amp;reaction=7&amp;csrfKey=e60d72a2e6e187a42e19c1f62069af79

I visited the website and voilà. A backdoor to downvote.
