  1. You're missing the point of your own thread, it's not about whether or not our shelter's can survive regional disasters, it's about our food security. There's no point in being warm and cosy in the face of a hurricane, blizzard or fire if one starves after the fact. Regional disaster's will have global effects, if the crops aren't protected.
  2. Who here knows what scrogging means? To me, my family and my childhood contemporary's, it's the word we used for "scrumping"
  3. Until we perfect smell-o-vision, I fear we'll never understand those alien's. We can't even understand our previous incarnation's, without a key (Rosetta stone) in the appendix and how many of our contempory author's include a key?
  4. But the point of a universal language is to comunicate. But since even frogs can have a regional accent, I think the chances are pretty doubtful. True communication is only really understood/possible among our regional contemporary's. The further we get from 0,0,0,0 the further we get from understanding/possibility. The best we can hope for is, we get the gist at any given distance.
  5. If the answer is 42, what is the question? I wrestle with this everyday...
  6. Oh, burn... 🙄
  7. Indeed, we're more than capable of punishing ourselves; it's ironic that you chose here to preach, no-one here believes in God's (well, almost no-one), and the irony is inflated by your insistence that your message is the only one that counts. People find happiness in all sorts of unusual place's, would you deny them that contentment? Just because you're righteously indignant about your lack of a smile.
  8. Yeah, no... there's nothing ironic about starving...
  9. Heaven is a smile when all you want, is to frown. If you're starving, heaven is a stale bagel found on the floor. What Hinduism is saying is, what goes around comes around; if you act like a worm/toad/etc you are a worm/toad/etc. If you think charity is foolish, I have to hope you will need some - it's the only way you'll learn the folly of your thinking. 😉 When a criminal escapes justice, they spend their day's in the hell of being caught.
  10. Is that your, objective view? Yeah, he tried to ban people from throwing stone's... 😇
  11. Indeed, you're just not making a very good case...
  12. She/he died, but forever lives in our memories; there's worst ways to go... Happy Saturnalia, hanukkah, etc... 😀
  13. You could try Britain, but since brexit you've got fook all chance of that...
  14. What's the point of this contradiction? If you can't find heaven now, you're in the hell of tomorrow; neither god nor religion taught me that. Maybe, maybe not; I think a more pertinent statement is, careful you don't exchange a wish, for a smile now. Or is it the other way round??? ðŸ˜Ģ
  15. It's a ying/yang type of thing, if the balance isn't right; the yang is a phuqin loonatic... ☠ïļ
  16. If only we could just accept the difference and it's importance to our survival... Maybe we'll evolve that understanding, one day... 🙄
  17. I'm reminded of the Australian mouse plague's, any such action by the mice would only delay/alter the end; replace the number of dead, at the expense of the potentially alive. We can't work against nature, it will always out-evolve us...
  18. It kinda is... The political will, depends on who has the most... 😉
  19. You don't have too, to be content... 😉 Imagine the place's we could go...
  20. Where would we be, without tool's? Chucking seed in the general direction of good ground... ðŸĪŠ Something Trump depends on, despite the fact that he is a tool...
  21. Yet you can read the English version and understand Hebrew thoughts??? Their's wisdom in them there word's. And in the rich loam of cynicism.
