  1. Like what? Even to this day, Ukraine isn’t part of NATO. On another note, Ukraine isn’t part of Zimbabwe. Do you equally think Zimbabwe should’ve done more to stop Putin from his illegal action on sovereign lands? It’s actually not. Do you know how I know? Because I’m the one who created it. Of course. Putin could’ve chosen NOT to send his troops and his tanks and his airplanes to kill Ukrainians and their children and steal their land. In much the same way, you could choose to use a normal font size when posting.
  2. I never suggested otherwise. Wait, what now? Where are you alleging I’ve done this, exactly? Yes, please do because I’d never say something so self-evidently stupid and untrue.
  3. The world is complex and complexity is stressful. Simple monolithic all-encompassing explanations and an ability to blame “others” like “the left” and “liberals” is VERY psychologically soothing. In many respects, it’s similar to the old maxim about religion being the opiate of the masses. Simple packaged narratives that (however false and however fictional and however untrue) make people feel better and less scared.
  4. “There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."
  5. So the civil war was started by white males to destroy… white males?!? 😂 😂 😂 I am so grateful to you for giving us this transparent view into how addled minds work and how broken so many people have become. It’s like studying chimps at the zoo.
  6. Part of the answer here also involves exposure during childhood and how paradoxically our quest for increasingly antibacterial homes through powerful cleaning agents is making our immune system defenses less capable and us more prone to exaggerated response in the face of seemingly innocuous stimuli.
  7. Technically, it’s both. The more money people have to spend, the higher prices shops and services can charge bc consumers will pay it. If you believe the current global inflation pressures are just from “handouts,” then you’re wrong. We’re about as close to full employment right now as we have been in nearly a century. Suggesting that this means schools aren’t needed to prepare workers to do those jobs is rather ludicrous. It’s also nonsequitur. Starving people and making their children homeless doesn’t exactly lead those people to becoming better employees. I’d laugh if this weren’t so pathetically sad. Yes, males… especially the white ones… have been marginalized and ill treated for far too long. I’m glad brave souls like you are finally willing to call out this discrimination. You’ve been conditioned to attack simplistic one-dimensional labels like “the left” and “liberals,” and because of this you remain ignorant of and in opposition to actual solutions to the problems we both agree exist. You’re attacking cartoons instead of building better futures.
  8. I don’t know what his problem is, but I bet it’s hard to pronounce.
  9. What generation does Forrest Gump belong to? Gen A
  10. Lol. Indeed it was. My bad. Sorry for wasting your time. Mea culpa.
  11. This thread is about the illegal Russian invasion of Ukraine and likely similar action of China into Taiwan. See above
  12. Yawn. Add another to the hundreds of forgettable threads from forgettable trollish people.
  13. Your view suggests that the best way to stop the bully from stealing your lunch and kicking your ass is to… keep giving him your lunch and not returning any strikes. “It’s her own fault I raped her, your honor. Did you see that skirt she was wearing?”
  14. Bladesmiths! Your time starts… NOW!
  15. Blindingly obvious false dichotomy. They defend their OWN interests. Wow... that's quite a perspective. Is there no lie so big you won't swallow it? Never mind. You're welcome to such views. I find them laughable given the actual evidence, but doesn't matter bc they're off topic here.
  16. And yet... you just replied to this post, acknowledging both it and the former, however responded to the legitimate queries of neither. So the cycle continues... Evade. Ignore. Rant. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
  17. That might be an interesting question to explore in its own thread, but it’s off-topic here. Yes, the equivalent of a tourist visit for 2-4 hours plus a couple of meetings and photos is EXACTLY the same as threatening neighbors by launching experimental rockets into the Sea of Japan. I’m SO glad someone is finally brave enough to remind us of this simple truth. /sarcasm US Congressional representatives have been visiting Taiwan pretty regularly for decades, so the better question is why has China decided to suddenly wet their bed and throw a massive tantrum over this latest visit. And you’re now suggesting her 3 hour lunch date in Taiwan is best described as “forcing her beliefs on others?” Oh my… are you always this melodramatic? Shall we fetch you a fainting couch?
  18. Do you need a tissue to wipe away all those crocodile tears? I bet all of those people brutalized and murdered and tortured under autocrats and their sycophants would disagree, but thanks for showing your true colors and coming out forcefully in support of dictatorship over freedom and democracy of the people. It’s refreshing to see someone so oblivious to history. Oops… not refreshing. Meant repugnant.
  19. Agreed. I was glad to see her showing some spine. Even (some) republicans are praising her.
  20. At least it gives fine fellas like you the opportunity to once again set the record straight. Nice post. Not entirely, but it’s long been known that cooperation in nature and strength in numbers is one of the easiest most consistent ways animals are able to topple dominant individuals.
  21. Probably bc it’s way easier to be a pathetic little pant pissing troll that way. He’s been a member here all of about 2 weeks and yet already has a negative 21 rep score.
  22. Maybe support democracy and stop murdering his opponents and countrymen? Thanks for the offer, but I’m not at all interested in chasing such obvious red herrings and strawmen.
