I was asking about heavier security elsewhere, and guns being the primary reason why that security in other nations is more proactive (as opposed to general threat levels and extra-legal activities, etc). His aim was to retain power in any way possible. He tried to do this in at least 4 different ways. Storming the capitol or having his supporters storm the capitol was one of them. The committee hearings confirmed he and his team were talking about exactly this several days beforehand
