  1. I’m not the one who, in context of THIS thread, couldn’t figure out what accidental leaks were being described
  2. Believe those are called “missiles.”
  3. Apparently our ability to have clear cogent exchanges
  4. It does seem like there’s an uptick in bots being deployed by their designers into discussion forums as part of their broader training strategy and ML. I’m wary of most new posters myself. It’s getting worse… fast. Request to use the report button is entirely appropriate, though.
  5. Lol. Boeing shade. Meanwhile Raytheon is sitting in the corner sending paper airplanes into orbit, but it’s top secret
  6. Hang Tony Fauci! Yeah. Pretty much. We’re obviously still failing, too.
  7. We’re never going to know for sure which origin hypothesis is exactly correct. I’m uncertain, though, why this is the issue getting everyone agitated? Wet market. Lab leak. Both should be made safer as a good general practice, but in terms of the origin of SARS-Cov2, who cares? None of these agencies are saying it was deliberate or for militaristic reasons. Of all the lessons humanity needs to learn after this pandemic, I don’t feel that even makes the Top 10 list.
  8. Evidence from my kids suggests otherwise. Not possible that’s innate 😂
  9. Except, yes. It does. All biological and chemical markers confirm this, even without the subject being accompanied by conscious awareness.
  10. Found this pretty cool. Thought some here might react similarly. “Boeing engineers’ handmade airplane shatters a record by flying nearly the length of an American football field. <…> Their design was inspired by hypersonic aerospace vehicles and they practiced for four months before making their attempt. <…> “We tried to mimic the design of various hypersonic vehicles, which travel at speeds over Mach 5 (five times the speed of sound). So, we decided to call our plane Mach 5,” Ruble said. <…> Ruble and Jensen studied origami and aerodynamics for months, putting in 400 to 500 hours of creating different prototypes to try to design a plane that could fly higher and longer. <…> We found the optimal angle is about 40 degrees off the ground. Once you’re aiming that high, you throw as hard as possible. That gives us our best distance,” Jensen said. “It took simulations to figure that out.“ Video at the link: https://onfirstup.com/boeing/BNN/articles/duo-s-paper-airplane-seizes-guinness-world-records-status-1?bypass_deeplink=true
  11. There is ambiguity in source of our own sexual preferences, but homophobia regarding the preferences and practices of others is decidedly not genetic. Because their local religious leader(s) said that God said it's bad. Because it makes Jesus cry or something. End program.
  12. Incorrect. All it means is NOT*theist. No conclusions can be drawn regarding other beliefs.
  13. I had the same vibe. You're fishing in the wrong lake given the fish you wish to catch.
  14. I disagree. It was only a decade ago I was advocating in favor of prop 8 and gay marriage etc. We can all be advocates. That convinces more to become allies. That’s the cushion we need to prevent such legislation from moving forward (even up there in the Niagara region). ✌🏼
  15. Eight Republican lawmakers introduced a bill yesterday proposing a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage in Iowa. My environment is OUR environment, and while I may be closer and more plugged into it all than you are, you're hardly isolated or independent from what's happening. This mindset is becoming worse in many parts of the world. I just happen to be the part of YOUR world who is calling attention to it today.
  16. Just pray harder. That solves all problems. Except amputated limbs. Why won’t god heal faithful amputees?
  17. https://www.scienceforums.net/guidelines/ I’d delete such nonsense if I were board admin, but it’s handled case by case. Err toward no. If you’re not sure, then don’t. Also, posting ideas is not advertising. Such comments are not helpful in ensuring people take you seriously.
  18. Would you prefer I submit my posts to you first for review and approval, your highness? How’s that for smartass? Your objection is overruled. 😂 Unless you’re suggesting that there are currently enough vacant existing homes to house the entire homeless population, then I think it’s safe to say this is tangential to the primary discussion. Sure, existing refurbed and flipped dwellings could potentially play a role in helping to house the homeless, but more new construction will also be needed. Regardless of the details, regardless of the costs, the government is capable of funding it if we make it a priority. Surely on this point we all agree and align, and if we start from THERE (instead of spiraling down tangent after tangent of “well here where I live they give 12 pounds per stone, and 17 if you have 3 books by Reagan and Thatcher in your den” silliness) we might actually make a bit of progress… strengthen an obvious allyship we share on this important issue. We can probably even save money given the economies of scale involved. There’s no one silver bullet, but the problems are anything but insurmountable. Politics are blocking this. Not economics. And thus farther away from the jobs and centers of commerce, thus perpetuating the root causes of the problem.
  19. You’ve made several personal comments about me as a person. Me as a whole. My comments were about this one specific thought and feeling you have, specially regarding homosexual males and how they’re affectionate with each other. I challenged your idea. Your thinking, not you as a human. Do you understand why this difference in our approaches is important?
  20. To the OP, missiles wouldn’t ship with warheads already installed, especially not without better bracing than that shown here. Those are metal tubes with fins welded in that look neat. No rocketry or armaments.
  21. We call them prisons here
  22. Dufuq? No shit. My reply regarded exactly that, too. I neither said nor implied nor insinuated that you did.
  23. Was inquiring on relevance myself
