IMG_2890.mov Object appeared just after 2230 eastern, slowly moving to the north Photo is a 2 or 3 sec exposure so the object is blurred. Video shows the object better but you don’t get the background. (edit: some the stars visible in the picture are: big dipper to the right, Arcturus is on the left, peeking out behind a tree) From social media, the likely explanation is that it’s stage 2 of an Ariane rocket that launched last night, venting, and would soon burn up on re-entry (which would have been neat to see) So now it’s a probably-identified object/aerial phenomenon

  2. Progesterone receptor membrane component 1promotes survival of human breast cancer cells and the growth of xenograft tumors- Scytek Laboratories. Triple negative breast cancers (TNBCs) are highly aggressive and grow in response to sex steroid hormones despite lacking expression of the classical estrogen (E2) and progesterone (P4) receptors. Since P4 receptor membrane component 1 (PGRMC1) is expressed in breast cancer tumors and is known to mediate P4-induced cell survival, Breast cancer is diagnosed in over 230,000 women annually in the United States

Filter the blood through a machine using centrifugal force and/or other forces and/or viscosity and/or chemical solutions. Eradicate the disease with chemical solutions and/or burn it with a laser and/or burn it through some other means and/or scoop it out. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/61c4da8eb1b30a201b9669f2/e133ea28-0591-43b0-9177-d80dfc518cab/Tree-Rings.jpg. The machine's variables can be "tailored" for the disease that is being treated. Such as cancer, plagues, and STD's.

Explaining transmutation Transmutation is the process of changing one substance or element into another. The meaning depends on the context—whether scientific, alchemical, or fictional. A breakdown by field: 🔬 1. Scientific Transmutation (Nuclear Physics)Definition: Transmutation in science refers to the conversion of one chemical element into another through nuclear reactions. Example: In a nuclear reactor or particle accelerator, atoms can be bombarded with particles to change their number of protons. Example reaction: 714N+11p→814O+γ714N+11p→814O+γ This changes nitrogen (N) into oxygen (O). Historical Note: The first artificial transmutation was done by Ernest Ruther…

  8. Hi, as I said at another thread, almost (or already) all of the sources I have come across until now are telling how to reference with samples. But they can't or do not respond questions whether that would be required or not for specific cases. More clearly I would ask a source which may respond my questions on referencing, but not to be expert on the issue or on the subject matter of this literature, I just want to make zero failure when I reference any source. Thanks. additional information: currently I do not want to attend any university MSc or PhD program. One member said that the kind of info I look for here would generally be provided at universities by train…

  10. Hi everyone! I understand this is for sciences that we talk about in the classroom because I have a main account (that forgot the password to so this is my backup. The name is the same as my main, but without the 2), but I was hoping this counts as a science like humanities or something. So, straight to the point, humans didn't just spawn and start making stone tools. So, how did we get to that point? There's a part in the middle of God making us and us and stuff like that to the paleolithic era that I'm not educated about and would like either your own knowledge/research because I've already tried to research, but I got nowhere. Please send help. Also, I'm in desperate n…

Character amnesia is a recently coined term for an interesting problem that is troubling Chinese and Japanese speakers, namely a growing inability to reproduce and write out complex characters by hand from memory. https://globalchinapulse.net/character-amnesia-in-china/ In Chinese the phenomenon has been dubbed tíbǐwàngzì (提笔忘字) which means “lift the brush, forget the character”. The problem has become progressively more acute ever since the advent of the modern internet and smart phone usage in China after the turn of the millenium. Chinese speakers typically use either a physical QWERTY keyboard, or a virtual equivalent (on pads and smartphones) to generate a Pinyin ro…

  12. When do you think NASA or the provide sector will send human to the moon and Mars? I thought space X said some thing about sending human to Mars in year 2030. And I thought NASA said some thing about sending people moon by the year 2027/2028.

  13. I find that LLMs tend to do relatively ok with searching for scientific literature so long as the query is very basic, but as soon as you add a bit of nuance and conditions, it tends to ignore the conditions and ends up giving you only tangentially related literature. Which free LLMs have you found to be the best at this?

Hi, I guess what or how it should be but would like to be confrmed, though. assume please that an "A" sentence passes in an article and the author referenced this sentence from B article with [1]. then which source should be referenced? (I thought that B should be referenced.) but in case my prediction is right, will not be writing a paper so much easy? (especially the introduction part ) (simply copy some sentences as same as it is referenced in a paper or combine with just two papers' referenced sentences and add the new ideas, then your paper is almost ready? if there is no problem until this point, now I can understand the reason whys; generelly papers reference secti…

I couldn't find any sociology category so here i post This thread might sound dumb but in my case i have a big issue regarding this subject and i hope to learn about it and get recommendations When i'm walking on a sidewalk to go from A to B, and i see a person or a duo/trio... coming towards me, i'm let's say in pain I keep thinking about them, are they thinking about me, when should i start watching them to say hi, if they don't watch me while i watch, should i watch again in 2 seconds, and again? Is there any system to apply when passing people not to have to bother worrying and feeling awkwardness? (when it's a street with ton of people like in movies i just ignore …

so if 1000 earths were formed at the same time, and everyone of them had life and everyone of them had humans like we did, say 100,000 years ago in 2025, would all 1000 earths be in the same place, ie.. same inventions etc would electricity have been invented on all 1000 earths be, even if it was at different times

  17. Unlocking Infinite Possibilities: The Quantum Simulation Initiative (QSI) Overview The Quantum Simulation Initiative (QSI) aims to bridge the gap between theoretical physics, quantum computing, and real-world problem-solving through simulation. By leveraging quantum computers and cutting-edge AI, we will tackle humanity’s most pressing questions—from climate change to the structure of matter, and far beyond. Why is this project crucial? Because suffering and misfortune should not be the norm, and money should not be the only way to access resources and power. QSI is a step toward a society where technology empowers rather than divides. Key Object…

  18. Good day. I was reading about a "Bordeaux mixture" for prevention of fungus and damaging insects for plants and trees. It is a simple water solution to spray hydrated lime + liquid soap, supposed to not deterr/harm pollinators if applied before blooming. What is your opinion instead of spraying such mixture; spraying only the liquid soap onto foliage and branches to make a sticky layer and dusting windward with the hydrated lime powder after with the hope of hydrated lime sticking better to the plants (until next rain ?) -Or, a better approach you may have heard of- ?

  19. If there are individuals or large groups who are forced to live around each other and if either party or both parties hate each other due to conflicts or past injustices commited by either or both of due to repulsion to each other (I.e various tribes or individuals find other tribe's or individual's practices abhorrent). Then is there a way to peacefully dissolve the situation and work towards peacebuilding ? Since there is a likelihood the hating parties or aggrieved parties would definately not be open to changing their views or would have a strong sense of righteousness , would such conflicts not be solvable by normal means ? Are there any mainstream academic…

I believe that the game theory can be useful for improving relationships in families. Here is a simple analogy: A husband and wife are deciding how to spend their time together. If they both go to watch football, the husband gets two "units of pleasure", the wife one. If they go to the theater, the husband gets one "unit of pleasure", the wife two. If they are inclined to compromise, they can agree to go there and there alternately, then each gets an average of 1.5 units of pleasure. But if the wife is selfish and has more patience, she can make her husband choose either to go only to the theater or not to go anywhere. The husband acceps this and the wife gets 2 units o…

  21. I started studying epidemiology to get some mental webbing going. I was doing research and mini lessons from CDC on one tab and adding viruses and diseases on a Googe doc in another. I'm not really all that clear on what I should have or if I should just make two separate docs for diseases, viruses, etc. and terms. I hope I'm making sense.

Greetings. By late sixties, a highly educated priest at my high school mentioned and taught in literature/hystory? class that romanticism was an italian movement originated as Rome-anti-cism. Cannot remember what/where was the cism (church schism?) Can you confirm yes, no, what or never heard such ? And if has no relation with the word 'romantic' (as in loving) ... If my memory is working. Another in-retina from the same teacher was that 'mafia' meant "Morte alle France Italia aclama" -- Or "Italy claims death to France" -- perhaps since the taking of Corsica? I have consulted in several places with nothing solid. Do you know anything about as true…

Hi! Has anybody had any experience with fashion history? If so, does anyone know if there were western designers who dealt with Constructivism or Cubism? I know that there were some Soviet artists such as Lyubov Popova, Varvara Stepanova and others, but I can’t find any information about western ones. I was wondering if such artists existed. Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  25. Ever meet someone that says, “If I watch the game they will lose.” They believe this. But imagine they watched a game and the team won. Would this end the streak of always seeing them lose? Scientifically there is no way to prove or disprove this theory of losing. Obviously just being a spectator you have no influence on the game, or do you? What if by watching the game you are subconsciously predicting the odds on who will win? If you watch this game, you may have wanted to break the cycle and thought the team had a chance of wining. I am reading a book that talks about random samples. But the question is what is random? Isn’t it that a random sam…
