Hi, I have to do some statistic, and I don't understand how works the shapiro-wilk test or the barltett test. I think I understand why do we use it (to see if an sample follow a normal distribution for shapiro and see if our vaiance are equal for Bartlett). But I am completely unable to do the math, can somebody help me ? Thanks

  2. Hiya, Is it possible to use sound waves or another means to take measurements from a plastic coated surface? For argument sake let's say we have 10 seemingly identical plastic coated sheets, by using sound waves or something else is it possible to take measurements from the surface which would allow you to differentiate between them from non visable differences brought about by variations in the coating and manufacturing process? Many thanks, this is a great site and all the helpful people on here. I am learning a lot.

I would love if you can double check all, but feel free to just jump in on which ever you feel good about! 15) Which of the following characters are neither (currently) adaptive or exaptive? The color of blood cells. The oxygen-binding properties of blood cells. The presence of lungs in some modern fishes. The waxy cuticle of cacti. The limblessness of snakes. I teach junior high. Could someone clarify, would soaking paper towel in food coloring water be diffusion or osmosis or both? Explain which aspect is considered osmosis? Diffusion? I.e. celery stalk in food coloring water is osmosis, because water particles are travelling through semipermeable membrane. What about the solute (food coloring), travelling upwards along with water particles, area of high to low concentration. Would this be considered diffusion? How to distinguish the two.

Hello, I need some help from clever people. Regarding alpha, beta and gamma rays. If I was to shoot any of these at say a card of plastic is it possible to detect on the plastic that it had been shot with any of these? Using specialised camera perhaps? Would the rays leave a trace in any form? If not is it possible to shoot any type of rays or particles that would leave a trace on the surface of plastic at all, that Co ld be detected by a camera set up? Many thanks for all your wonderful help on this my friends.

I am given 3 traits Trait 1, wing shape, two different alleles Dumpy and Scalloped; Trait 2, tarsi, two different alleles Truncated and Wild Type; Trait 3, two different alleles Vestigial and Wild Type; Note: These traits are imaginary and bear no relationship with the real ones in terms of inheritance pattern or chromosomal location. A first cross is set up with a Scalloped, Wild Type, Vestigial male and a Dumpy, Truncated, Wild Type female. On the F1 we obtain 132 male flies with the following phenotype: Dumpy, Truncated, Wild Type and 127 female flies with the following one: Dumpy, , Wild Type, Wild Type. A secon…

  12. Hey all, I've attached my problem and relevant spreadsheets. I've done what I could in excel to transform the flat-earth velocity (alpha) into a spherical one using the flat earth transformation equation, but I must have done something wrong because I can't find a velocity where p = 1/V (so 0.05 = 1/v or v=20). I'm not sure where I went wrong. Thank you!

  20. I am working on some chemistry homework and I encountered a question that I am having a hard time with. "After the precipitate from the sodium carbonate and iron compound reaction was filtered and dried, the mass was 0.180 grams. Write balanced chemical reactions for the iron compound as Iron (III) and as Iron (II) with the sodium carbonate. What is the precipitate?" Basically 0.002 moles of sodium carbonate were added to a solution of water and some unknown iron compound. When the sodium carbonate was added a precipitate formed. Here is a link to the video of the reaction: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Aq5POw2sTHozL2_yBOdVn2YnS8K2natP/view?usp=sharing …

I am (still) working my way through a python book and a question came up but I am not 100% if the answer I produce is correct (and the book does not have an answer to this particular question). Compose a program to estimate the likelihood that you will not hear any sequential pair of songs (that is, song 3 does not follow song 2, song 10 does not follow song 9, an…

Hi, This is not a HW. Algorithm for prime number x 2<=I <= x -1, test whether x is divisable by i, Can we say that the running time is O(log^2 x) time, for large values of x can we say that the algorithm is a psedudo-polynimial time algorithm. From the internet, I found that the running time of algorithm to find prime number is O(sqrt(N)). I have 3 questions: Can we say that the running time is O(log^2N) for detection of Prime number? For large values of N, can we say that its a pseudo-polynomial algorithm? Is this true for Sorting algorithms also? Zulfi.

Assuming the cost of the textbook increases linearly as a function of time, give the function of the cost of the textbook since 2002. b. Give the interpretation of the slope of the function in part (a). c. A book is considered to be unaffordable when its price is more than $300.00. If the increase in price follows this linear trend, when will the book be unaffordable?
