When i was like 10 (im 15 now) i got a piano from my parents in christmas. As time went by ive been ignoring the piano 'till now where i discovered "music" My aunt already gave the piano away to my cousins not long ago. How am i going to explain to them that i want a piano for my birthday? Im really scared they'll get mad at me. I found out that the arts is my path when i grow up, cuz i suck in math and science. All i see are a bunch number coming out of no where. :bs:

The other forum is great, but I do not need personal attacks, e mails to my home and ofice telling me I will "Burn in Hell" because I understand Darwin, or that I am, in fact "Satan." This forum is great, and I think that I will be very comfortable here. The other forum is a great forum as well. I miss being there, but to each his own. Bill

I found out, thanks to the board admin here who had come to bash me. At the same time, I have deted two posts bashing another forum. IF ANY posts are in any section that I mod, and are negative towards any other FORUM (we do not name names..suffice it to say any means any) they will be deleted. These other forums are not in competition with us..they are different and have differing ideologies and memberships. I belonged to several, and found two that were great. This is one. Be that as it may..NO MORE blatant attacks of anyone here or any other board. Thanks for your maturity. Bill PS: making fun of me is fine.

But the opening message should be 'of x and myself', or what have you, rather than '...and I'. Who knows, perhaps maybe many an aspiring scientifically minded pedant has turned away at the door in disgust.

We now (us--You and Me) have our very own chatroom. There is a Java link, but for those running mIRC or similar programs, the channel is on sorcery net and is #scienceforums. Now that we have established this, we will be asking for inputs on a schedule of possible Open chats with folks in various fields of science. What we would like is to have some idea WHOM you would like to chat with. Some people require several months warning, some only a few weeks. Sooo the sooner we get started the better. Bill

hey guys, i couldn't figure out this question. Can anyone help me do this question. - 2 persons are skiing down the frictionless hill. The height of the hill is 12m. Calculate the velocity (m/s) at the end of the hill (assume the initial velocity is 0m/s) - I think it has something to do with Kinetic Energy. But, i don't know where to start from. I need the answer for Monday. So, if anyone can solve this problem, I would be thankful.

...should you choose to accept it (which you do), is to go to http://www.ishiphop.com and check it in all the browsers you have installed. What I'm most interested in is retention of products in the wish list between browser sessions, and the existence of a 10-digit reference number on the shopping cart page. Bear in mind sessions and cookies cannot be shared between different browsers. I have tested it in IE, NS, Opera and Mozilla and LuTze has tested in Konqueror, but I found a load of entries in the wish list table that had no reference numbers so something may be off slightly.... I've noticed a lot of you use the default icons I uploaded, here's how to make your own if you want: Find an image you like! Remember, the subject of the image should be pretty large, since the whole picture needs to be scaled down. Open your image in an image processor (besides MS Paint) Scale it down to 100 x 100 or less. The dimensions do not have to be equal, but they both have to be less than 80 pixels Click on "usercp" then click edit options and scroll down to "Avatar", click 'change avatar' Scroll down to "You can upload an avatar from your computer:" and click browse. Find your scaled down image and press "Submit modifications" If you nee…

a movie where a chemical gas of some sort leaks into the air and wipes out a small town/or school. no one dies, they're all knocked unconscious from the chemical. after a few hours, they awake and suffer extreme memory loss(like they don't even know who they are)... okay, do you find this cheezy? incredibly unbelievable? possible? also, since these are SCIENCE forms, can anyone help me out with a name for the chemical? is there such thing? could this happen in real life? I'd totally appreciate feedback, I'm currently writing the script. Thanks

Has anyone seen the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding?" I watch it at least twice a week and laugh hysterically everytime. I find it terribly amusing. Perhaps it is because of the family dynamics remind me of my best friends family (Russian Jews). Especially the quilt. When he saw it he said "Hm. I thought just my mother was like that." Bill

  19. Hey guys, What would you suggest in this situation ??? 1) If astronomers detect a planet-killing asteroid right before it hits Earth, do you want to know? - Yes, I would like to be able to prepare for the end. - No, I would rather enjoy the last minutes without knowing.

This is an excellent opportunity for a new/young/burdgeoing artist to be published. If you are interested in more details, please contact me. Thanks; Bill

I had a project on there I've been working on for over a year. gone. I suppose thats what I get for not backing up.

Do you know of any scientific fields, research and theory available on the area of predicting the future. Predicting The Future Forces and Factors Take a card, spin it into the air. The foce applied to the spin may cause it to spin 10 times before gravity causes the card to hit the ground and stop. As the card started face up as that is how I left the card on a table. The card will land face up. I apply more force just enough to spin it 11 times in the air before gravity will cause it to hit the ground the card lands face down. I try it again then a gust of win comes alond acting on the spinning card causeing a force of 11 spins I appieed to the card to only s…
