I was just in Kemmerer Wyoming digging fossils in the green river formation, I had a lot of fun, But I do have some questions. How is that rock formed? What I mean is, what makes it hard? Is it just because it was under so much presser, or was it some kind of chemical reaction? What is it that makes it split apart? Why aren't the layers cemented together like other places? And can you give me a recipe for making lime stone? I have tried mixing hydrated lime and water together and adding some presser, But it never gets very hard, it is kind of soft and crumbly. Do I just need more presser or what? Can you tell me how to make it harder without adding …

And I must say I'm really enjoying the view. For those of us living on the northern hemisphere, happy hunting. For those of you living on the southern hemisphere, damn you for being in Australia while I'm stuck way the hell up here. Anyway, how's everyone's summer been going thus far?

Just a few questions I have been wondering about this site; 1. What do the mods and admin guys do? And how did they become what they are? 2. What is a 'referal' and how do you get them? (i have one but im not sure why or off who) what is the point of them? (other than to get 25 and to get a mousemat) 3. My science chat wont open it just displays a blank page, any suggestions? 4. Why do some people have 'titles' under their avitars (ive been told only admin and mod guys get them???) 5.Blike; did he/you create this site? you/ he seem(s) to be the big cheese around here? what is your position? 6. Finally a sixth question (to prevent it from being a me…

I'm feeling so clubbed over the head these days by previews and trailers for TV programs and movies. I hate that they show some of the best scenes. It alwasy pulls me out of the experience when I'm watching a movie and a scene comes up that's already been splashed across the TV a thousand times. I try to stay away from commercials but it's not easy. The best movie and TV watching experiences, IMO, are the ones you go into with no preconceptions. A friend handed me the first season of Keifer Sutherland's "24" on DVD (6 discs, 24 episodes, 42 minutes per episode, no commercials!), and told me I have to watch it. The only thing I knew about the series was that it wa…

Has anyone built ultrasonic weapons like the ones at The Free Information Society under the electronics section? They look really cool and can supposedly cause feelings of nausea and even vomiting

is there anything more excellent? I love this movie. My favorite romance. The end scared me when i was a kid (but i liked the rest of it). Noone can say i love it just because i'm 'gothic', i've been into 'dark' stuff since i was little. Beetlejuice was my favorite movie in first grade. Anyway I rediscovered Ed about a month ago, it was just on satellite so i watched it with my brother.

Natalie Portman is very hot. Or to put it more gracefully--- she is a living work of art. We need a thread, or a whole forum area devoted to beautiful women. But that's not the topic of the post. I was looking at this site (something to do with looking for Edward Scissorhands Posters) and, well you ever see something and you skip over it until you register it, then search forever to refind it? That's what happened ( saw her name) except it wasn't anywhere on the page (i did CTRL+F portman). Nor on the page before that. Kinda random, but this happens to me a lot when i'm reading, is there a name for this word hallucination phenomenon? So then googled images of Natalie.…

it seems like a simple question, but has proven in the past not to be. my question goes like this: "what is your favorite primetime cartoon?" I just realized that all of the choices (exept for "other") are made by the same person.

what do u like best? I like most of the stuff. Autumn in Ganymyde is really nice. so is rush and its versions. but the song that really gets to me is " Call me Call me". whenever i hear it, i always go all nostalgic. and my eyes start to water a bit as well. Its probably the lyrics. and the wonderful chord progressions. I hate listening to it for that reason but I have to listen to it again. Love-Hate relationship

Like the title said, I got my arse handed to me by a Venom 650. This is the first venom I've ever seen in KY. I don't believe and or engage in street racing, but this was an opportunity I could not miss, even though I knew that there's no way in hell my car could outperform her, but there's that chance of user error. I guess I was hoping that she might have slipped a gear or something.... We had 3 launches, and the first one was a test more or less. Second we got out at about the same time(but that was it though, she very quickly overtook me after that point) and the final hit me with a train. By the time I got to 60, I lost sight of the venom. Caught up with the gi…

I absolutely love those debates. Tony Blair does a really splendid job of defending his position. He is very witty, and can think very fast on his feet. and he enjoys bringing up dirt on the opposition. And so is Michael Howard(opposition leader). I loved his performance against Gordon Brown(Chancellor of the Exchequer). during the last budget. And I find the Booing and Shouting of the BackBenchers very amusing as well. What a great tradition. I wonder how GWBush would stand up to this style of unrehearsed grilling.
