Seen any good sculptures made from almonds lately? Note: no other nut-based sculptures may be discussed under threat of the ban-hammer!

Is anyone here an amateur radio operator? Like, short wave, 2 meter, etc, or even CB? I'm pretty interested in it right now, even though I don't have any equipment. I was just wondering if there are any hams here.

I have not had the chance to venture outside of the western side of North America. I read about and see different parts of the world, but I am more interested on experiencing it on a more personal level. What is your city/town/state/country like? What do you enjoy about the people, places, culture or landscape? What do people in your area do for recreation? Whats the educational system like? What sports are popular? And anything else you would like to share about your area?

Try this site: http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/sleep/sheep/ what did you get? (If it's better than mine post a print screen... just as proof, then anyone who beats that post a print screen - I haven't seen anyone else play this game so I don't know how mine rates against others yet, and I've only tried it 3 times so far!) As you can it was that sheep3 that dragged me down!

Anybody else watch this show? I did a quick search and saw that Sayonara started a poll about the recycling episode, which I just caught in re-runs the other day. Some fun posts in there. I'm hoping for new episodes to start soon.

Here is the problem that was set up as a lab experiment. We ran a car on a Rail (assumed to be frictionless) and collided it with another (stationary) car. There were three trials and I have gathered thwe average of the the Next we added three rayovac cells to the car and repeated the same process. I will provide the work already performed (i do not think it is correct) but here goes. the weight of the car without batteries is 985.5g = 0.986kg the impacted car car is posistioned at 100cm on the rail. Xi =100cm = 1m average Xf = 38 cm = .37m Ti =0, average Tf =4.25s We are to find the following: Here goes The problem states to find the following…

In december I heard the Doom song for the first time, thanks to MrL. From then on my life has changed for the better, as I now know what the worst song in the world sounds like [enter the remix]. The Amazing Doom doom doomy doom doom doom doom Song The worst song ever spewed from a set of speakers... ie the remix I abandoned it's production, because it was depressing me, but I figured someone might want to hear it, for some reason. [edit] Not even JaKiri is commenting. That's just sad. I knew I abandoned it for a good reason.

Does any one here know of a classic experiment in sociology having children make masks? There were three divisions of leadership or work expectations given to three seperate classes. The first class had the most time and given a brief instruction. The second had little time and more strict guidelines. The third was a test group given no instructions or time limit. The first group produced the highest quality masks. The second was lower quality but greater quantity. And the test group was inbetween. I may not have all the details write but you get the idea. So if anyone knows the name of the man who did this study or what the study was called please let m…

Revenge of the Sith is set for release relatively soon, and, only having seen a preview, it looks pretty good. Having been disappointed by the previous 2 movies, and being a big Star Wars fan, I think it looks promising. Maybe I am just hoping against hope that the presumed last Star Wars film will be more like the first 3 (Episodes 4,5,6,), and George Lucas will turn out his first quality film in years. Any thoughts/opinions?

Do you know http://www.try2hack.nl/ ? This site is a game to test your skills trying to figureout passwords and decripting. There are some basic rulez. For example brute force is not allowed, searching in internet for answers is not allowed, nor the use of decompilers. I took about 10 hours to solve it almost all... i just could not make the bug exploit thought i did decripted the code. So, you should try this. Is pretty intresting.

I have begun to realize that I am turning into a lonely old man (all of 15 years) sitting here brooding in my basement and I decided that I needed a companion. Since my social skills amount to basically nil I think it best that this companion be non-human. So, I am looking for the perfect pet within these parameters: 1. Should be friendly, or at least entertaining 2. Smell should be not terrible 3. Living accomodations should be cheap, (>$100) 4. SHould have an interesting mind ( I might enjoy doing some experiments on animal intelligence) Hit me with ideas people. What pets have you liked in the past/present?

A friend of mine and I had a conversation the other day about the new Plasma Televisions, and why they were so much better than conventional ones. Needless to say, I had no clue why. What is used inside of "older" televisions to produce pictures, and why is the Plasma TV so much better?

Recently (actually today about 5 minute ago), I read an article from Discover August 2005. Basically, the article suggested that the intermarriage, or marriage between cousins, isn't exactly what most people think. Like it's explaining no one really "like" intermarriage but from genetics, the prejudice that people have on intermarriage such as "if you marry your cousin, your baby will have 9 heads" are not true. Maybe that example is obviously wrong since it's probably impossible to have a baby with 9 heads. But my point is, what do you think about the intermarriage? I personally go against it but like after reading this article, there isn't necessarily any wr…
