Hello all, I had a question I was debating with someone over drigas . If you have 20 gallons of gasoline, and due to sitting or the inside of the metal gas tank sweating , it has an additional gallon of water in it. How much DriGas is required to "displace" that gallon of water, making it burnable/combustable, and thus not affecting ther engine? He says its a one to one ratio. (It'll take an additional gallon of Drigas to fix the problem? I'm saying less then a quart is needed.

Although it has risen regularly over time, A friend has a a son whose IQ score (combined) is 89. He did pass part of a statewide mandated test this year. There were two sections and he passed the English section and was just short of passing the math section, literally only a few points away from passing. He gets average grades, rarely anything below a C. He was adopted when he was 5 from another country and he was below the height and weight for a normal child his age, WAY below, so perhaps nutrition played a role in his IQ, not just genetics. Nearly 8 years later, his grammatical and writing skills lag below his peers, which makes me wonder if college would ever be an o…

Hello, I put a box on a scale to see how heavy it was. The scale only went up to ten kilos but the box was heavier than that. However the needle did spin around 1.5 times so I figured the box was about 15kgs. Then someone came out with the comment, "You're no scientist, are you! It's not a linear scale. Once it goes past that point it is no longer accurate." Is that true. TIA, Jez

Is anyone here an amateur radio operator? Like, short wave, 2 meter, etc, or even CB? I'm pretty interested in it right now, even though I don't have any equipment. I was just wondering if there are any hams here.

I have not had the chance to venture outside of the western side of North America. I read about and see different parts of the world, but I am more interested on experiencing it on a more personal level. What is your city/town/state/country like? What do you enjoy about the people, places, culture or landscape? What do people in your area do for recreation? Whats the educational system like? What sports are popular? And anything else you would like to share about your area?

Try this site: http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/sleep/sheep/ what did you get? (If it's better than mine post a print screen... just as proof, then anyone who beats that post a print screen - I haven't seen anyone else play this game so I don't know how mine rates against others yet, and I've only tried it 3 times so far!) As you can it was that sheep3 that dragged me down!

Anybody else watch this show? I did a quick search and saw that Sayonara started a poll about the recycling episode, which I just caught in re-runs the other day. Some fun posts in there. I'm hoping for new episodes to start soon.

Here is the problem that was set up as a lab experiment. We ran a car on a Rail (assumed to be frictionless) and collided it with another (stationary) car. There were three trials and I have gathered thwe average of the the Next we added three rayovac cells to the car and repeated the same process. I will provide the work already performed (i do not think it is correct) but here goes. the weight of the car without batteries is 985.5g = 0.986kg the impacted car car is posistioned at 100cm on the rail. Xi =100cm = 1m average Xf = 38 cm = .37m Ti =0, average Tf =4.25s We are to find the following: Here goes The problem states to find the following…

In december I heard the Doom song for the first time, thanks to MrL. From then on my life has changed for the better, as I now know what the worst song in the world sounds like [enter the remix]. The Amazing Doom doom doomy doom doom doom doom Song The worst song ever spewed from a set of speakers... ie the remix I abandoned it's production, because it was depressing me, but I figured someone might want to hear it, for some reason. [edit] Not even JaKiri is commenting. That's just sad. I knew I abandoned it for a good reason.

Does any one here know of a classic experiment in sociology having children make masks? There were three divisions of leadership or work expectations given to three seperate classes. The first class had the most time and given a brief instruction. The second had little time and more strict guidelines. The third was a test group given no instructions or time limit. The first group produced the highest quality masks. The second was lower quality but greater quantity. And the test group was inbetween. I may not have all the details write but you get the idea. So if anyone knows the name of the man who did this study or what the study was called please let m…
