i have heard that if you put bologna on a car and leave it for like 5 minutes it will strip the paint off and youll have a polka-dotted car. is there any truth to this? as a senior who just graduated, its important for me to know such things. are there any other substances that will damage a cars paint job? if egg is left on too long will it cause any damage? me and my friends like to get creative with the pranks, but i dont want to end up having to pay for a paint job.

I watched a movie this weekend - "What the Bleep Do We Know" - a truly thought-provoking, intiguing movie relating quantum physics and other sciences to perceptions, perspectives, realities, and more. My question is, "Have any of you experienced anything the people in this movie profess?"

Wasnt sure where to put this, so GD it is. Mysteriouse wierd purple dot thing stare at the outside of the ring, and you can clearly see a ring of purple dots with a green dot rotating around the circle. if you try and follow the green dot, it disappears, to be replaced by a rotating gap in the purple dots. if you stare at the cross in the centre, all of the purple dots will dissapear. wierd, neh?

if so, how many years of foreign language? I know Yale has a new foreign language requirement thing for undergrads. What are the "minimum" SAT and GPA's needed to get in? And is sports and extra-curricular SUCH a big deal?

I saw on the aviator about that guy, Howard Hughes, who has that disease. I can relate to it. I have actually been diagnosed with OCD. I am scared. The OCD started when I was seven and got progressively worse. I am scared that I will turn out like Howard Hughes. I am so scared. I don't want it to happen. Not to me. I can't handle the idea. I have the common symtoms, with the exception of the germaphobia. I don't know how to cope. Any suggestions??? Plz?

Unless Im missing something, there is no where to post meteorology or climatology... ecept in General Science... but computers and engineering have their own section. Unless topics which include meteorology would go in physics? Although alot has to do with temperature, it is quite a different field. I think we should have one (unless i just dont know where to find such topics) - do you?

Hi, I was hoping people could give me thier opinions on whether science is capable of finding out what conciousness is. I dont have a huge amount of knowledge in science but would like to study it next year at uni and was wondering if searching for conciousness through science was a dead end. Now it is just a matter of choosing which field to get into. My own ponderings have taken me from physics and various theories of quantum conciousness which seems to be way above my head, to molecular biology and the chemistry of mind altering drugs like lsd.
