  3. This is not whining on my part, I'm not banned or anything, but how is one awarded Reputation points, and specifically negative reputation points. Don't want to know a specific member, just curious about the process. I've garnered 5 negative rep points on one thread, mostly today. And to imatfaal's post above, the discussion involved global warming, I took an opposing view, some of my comments were admittedly snarky, but I never denied the reality of global warming.     It's often asked whether religion is a mental affliction. I view it as the preference of the mind to follow an established code of conduct. The conflict of separately evolved conduct codes provides the basis of violence and war. Ultimately no individual is unaffected by preferential biases that are biologically based, only complexity of development can be differentiated. The question I would raise here is whether woo-hate has become the religion of science and negatively effected the capacity of those formally educated in science to interpret the language of a layman as anything bar woosticulation, theroics and ego-driven proclamations?

  9. You were told not to reintroduce the topic. Thread closed. I didn't reintroduce the topic. I asked for an explanation of how there had been recourse for discussion allowed. Can't say I'm particularly impressed with the quality of debate available here. It actually appears to be actively avoided. The only point the moderators here have willingly clarified for me is who gets to end a discussion here.

    What is the difference between an inacceleratable object and a immovable object? By the way, the answer is not: Inaccelratable object cannot be accelerated but can be moved, vice-versa. Answering their questions has no sense, as they will never read it. I had presented this, more than once, in the past so I tried a search on 'zero' first with my name attached and second without, to find my previous replies on the subject. Both searches returned a zero result and I consider this pun by the system most unfortunate.

  18. Ok. I dont know where to start. I keep having these life experiences that I feel like I have already lived before. The bad thing is, I don't remember seeing them in my dreams. I only remember them when I see them. Example: I smoked some really loud weed with my friends one night. I didn't know it was going to make me feel crazy because I have smoked before.     I am a little confused about this topic category. I recently posted a fairly out of the box speculation, which got shut down. Not sure why exactly. There was something provable in it, but I certainly am not capable of proving it myself. I don't have access to a Hubble telescope or the math skills. Not many would at that level. Some existing math does support this concept though, and it was done by a fairly well known scientist. other ideas haven't been attempted.   23. With the greatest respect swansont, This is a discussion forum and MSC actually has a valid point for discussion, made in his entry in post#88. Surely it is valid to put to the OP the point that there is a mistake, misconception, or similar, in one of his terms and offer a more appropriate one? Perhaps MSC is wrong, perhaps he is right, but he is suggesting that there is a continuum, called the grid, and that matter is not the continuum but merely a feature of it. If I didn't know better I might wonder if you were being deliberately obtuse and creating arguments that are difficult to follow in order to avoid simple rebuttal. Picking a few sentences from two comments by two separate posters taken from over 50 posts and replying to them without context or citation could be seen as obfuscatory.
