Yesterday on CNN there was a lot of newscasters that were talking about god knows what but were really into it, and had lots of comments, etc. Then all of a sudden Christopher Cooper buts in and says, "Now take a deep breath, and inhale it fully because next up we will discuss marijuana law..." That was absolutely priceless!

Long time climate change denier and foe of NASA and science, Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) was just named as chair of the Subcommittee on Space, Science and Competitiveness, where he will oversee NASA and science programs.

Fellow climate change denier Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) will also chair the Subcommittee on Oceans, Atmosphere, Fisheries and the Coast Guard.

Oh wait, that's not a joke. This really just happened.

Wtf. Seriously, America?

Two sides of a true conversation - the red is the journo and the black is their target. This is not a fiction - the name of the target will be revealed after the depths of his idiocy have been shown

  • Look around us, I said, spreading my arms wide. There are thousands of intelligent and well-meaning people in this gigantic conference center: scientists, heads of state, government officials, policy experts. They believe that climate change is a serious and pressing threat and that something must be done soon. Do you believe that they have all been fooled?
  • Yes, he said, grinning.
  • That these people who have traveled from all points of the globe to be here are victims of a well-orchestrated hoax?
  • Yes, he said, still smiling.
  • That's some hoax, I countered. But who has engineered such a scam?
  • Hollywood liberals and extreme environmentalists, [he] replied.
  • Really? I asked. Why would they conspire to scare all these smart people into believing a catastrophe was under way, when all was well?
  • [He] didn't skip a beat: To advance their radical environmental agenda.
  • I pressed on: Who in Hollywood is doing this?
  • The whole liberal crowd, [he] said.
  • But who?
  • Barbra Streisand, he responded.

Press reveal for the scary bit...

And the amazing out of touch fool who could say that - Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.)

There is serious speculation that Donald Trump might pick Newt Gingrich as his running mate.

See

Donald Trump shouldn't get all the attention for suggesting goofy ideas in the context of a Presidential election. In 2012 Newt Gingrich suggested that someday the moon might become America's 51st state!

I wasn't aware the Vicente Fox was a native-born American citizen!

I'm fairly sure he's a native American born, but not a citizen of the US. But the latter is part of the satire.

Good point.  I should have said "USA" rather than just "American".  On another point, I had a very good friend who objected to a person saying "American" when they meant "of the United States".  I argued that "American" is a perfectly valid form because "The United States of America" is the only country that has the word "America" in its name.
