Research suggests a belief in oneness has broad implications for psychological functioning and compassion for those outside of our immediate circle.

So in reality there is no such thing as people? Yes everyone is all one person base on what those researchers are saying? So everyone on earth and the way people behave are just the thought of the maker?

And what the researcher are saying we are all one. And we are nothing more but parts of the maker?

This has nothing to do with there being “no such thing as people.” The core issue here is identity, social cohesion, and empathy.

Leaving aside the mystical woo of oneness, we really are just one element of the universe in human form for a little while.

When we see ourselves as separate or different, we act accordingly. We become tribal, competitive, amd less cooperative.

When we see ourselves as part of a larger whole, however, we see others as extensions of ourselves and tend more to protect and nourish them much like we would our own family.
