I have a question. Recently, I read an interesting book, Short Answers to Big Questions, by Stephen Hawking. My question is this. Do you know any equally interesting books / authors on medical, chemical or biological topics?

Two of my favorites: "The Selfish Gene" and "Guns, Germs, and Steel".

Try the handy answer book series, some of them are rather good and all are modern.

Stephen Hawking is an amazing person. I am thirty-two years old, I always thought that it was too late for me to start doing science, but he changed my outlook. I wonder if there is such literature in Botany.

You are conflating Stephen Hawking with Richard Dawkins. They sorta rhyme, but they're completely different people working in completely different fields of study. Not the best post with which to necromance an almost 3 year old thread.

Makes sense
