Is this a Pre-Human Skull? I believe it is.

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I'm new on the forums, and this is my first post. Thanks in advance for any help, or info you can provide me with.

My question would be pretty simple. I am wondering if this is a Pre-Human skull? Maybe Hominid in origin?

It was found in Southern California, in my yard. I live in an area that is basically built on a land slide. My house was built in 1920. I believe this would have had to have come down the hill at some point a long time ago, as it was not deep in the ground. I found a bunch of really strange animal parts at this point also. Many were under the house itself, which was built on a dirt, and rock foundation.

Also,

I believe I literally found a completely crystallized skull of something else (An animal) . It was coated in oil, or blood or something. Soft tissue and bone is completely preserved. Including the tongue oddly. But its made of crystal. I'll add a couple of pics of that too, even though its likely off topic.

Looking forward to hearing your opinions.

It is a rock.

And, as far as I can tell from the photos, a metamorphic rock, probably a gneiss.

I cannot see any skull like features any where on it William. What you are probably experiencing is the same pattern recognition skill that causes us to see faces in clouds and canals on Mars.

It's a rock.

If not, then I've walked across the largest collection of human heads ever.

No, they are decidedly not fossilized primate skills.

Rather, they appear to be simply metamorphic rocks. I believe the first one to be Ely Limestone.

Here are some more pics. You can see eye looking remains in the eye socket, as well as teeth from the underside of the skull minus jaw. You can also see stitching and writing all over the thing.[

EDIT Adding pics of the crytalized skull I mentioned in my first post. Maybe a giant rodent?

For what ever it is worth I see the skull as well, it's called pareidolia, humans are hard wired to see patterns. This often results in us seeing patterns where none exist...

Grandfather mountain in NC must be the largest skull ever to exist!

If you see a cloud that looks like a dragon, do you think it's a dragon? No you don't.

If you see a rock that very vaguely resembles a skull, do you think it's a skull? No you don't.

It's a minor coincidence, nothing else.

There are things on this Earth that we can't even begin to understand :

Not sure what the Michelin Man was doing when his lower body was severed away...but at least he died happy...

A giant rodent? It's very obviously - a rock.

Nevertheless, you don't seem to accept that. Yet.

I'll let you think about the function of a human skull (or any skull whatsoever).

If you found that out, try to break it, cut it open, whatever, and if it's completely solid inside ...

You'll have to face the facts. It's a rock.

If it's not ... Well ... Still a rock. My argument of concavity for skulls is very sensitive, though not very specific.

doubt that our ancestors lived in southern California before migrating from Africa.

It is a regular rock. It is a nice rock nonetheless, I don't mean to offend its feelings.

I have a rock collection too.
