  1. How? Your version of passionate is heavily biased by your culture, what if I/you can't live up to that version? Does that mean my/our life has no value?
  2. What do you think you're agreeing to?
  3. Do I have to?
  4. Indeed, but what better way to spend it than peacefully?
  5. Yet there both fleeting sensation's, which was more my point.
  6. Exactly. What's the difference?
  7. Words are important if you want convey understanding, the problem you've got is that you're trying to shoehorn one word into another, you're trying to equate peace of mind with happy. Happiness is a state of mind that can't possibly endure, imagine this; you play with your son and the balloon pops, it startles you (we can't help it, it's a different state of mind) and sends you of balance, you fall onto your son and in a freak accident he dies. Would that add to your happiness? If you want a guide to contentment/peace of mind, read any of the major bible's and in none of them will you find a hedonistic approach to the problem. It's a very difficult concept to understand, which you must do before you try and teach other's, otherwise all you 'can' do, is confuse them.
  8. No it's not, much like being content to be miserable isn't; on balance, being content to be alive is more important than some fictional/potential pleasure, all it represents is something to look forward too. It's just as OK to be miserable in the moment, not everything can be looked at as a positive, however hard you try; which I think is what's tripping you up with OP list/title. IMHO 'happiness' is the hateful word tattooed across the heart of our culture, if only you could afford this you'd be happy, but don't worry even the poorest among you can afford a lottery ticket... Is that the sort of happy you had in mind? Because cultural bias is strong with the force. 🖖
  9. But we can be content (on standby if you like), as @iNow suggested, happy is the wrong word to use, in fact I think it's detrimental to health to chase something that can only be fleeting. So for me, a more apt list would start with "don't worry if you aren't happy now, wait a while, someone's bound to say/do something laughable.".
  10. He can't, he has no idea why it's so important to people he doesn't agree with... 🙄
  11. But if he's gay, surely her partner would be a man???
  12. So you think she's a man and doesn't realise, presumably because she looks a bit masculine and keeps beating the pretty women; it's certainly consistant with your version of logic.
  13. I doubt you'd accept a punch in the face, yet it's real; the obvious answer is to pay them respect and not receive a punch in the face.
  14. Your talking about the fairness of life, that we all have to play; we're talking about the fairness of a "GAME"!!!, that we all should be allowed to play; the length of one's dick is a different game entirely. 😣 On an aside, it's odd to think that a cat/feline is considered feminine, yet the Tom's are sporting a barbed dick that's designed to inflict pain, life's full of irony... 🧐 Just a thought...
  15. Another joke that's zipped overhead, I can explain it if you want... 🥱 That's 90 page's on a topic, that's only intractable because 'they' say it is; I'm bored now...
  16. Of course not, its a series of excuses designed to justify your desire to exclude some people you haven't met and deny them the chance of, whatever you don't like. Besides, what game doesn't have a workable set of rules for all parties involved? Well of course they have, it was bad enough when a machine rocked up and beat them, if a girl turns up and does the same, I can only image the devastation... 😲
  17. LOL, nice try, but "you over nyah and me over nyah"; I'd better run it again, for the slow learner's...
  18. Well, the reason I do is: I imagine that that person is me, then I imagine what I would feel like if I wasn't allowed to play, because of some bigoted idiot who can't accept that his hero could be beaten by, or become, a woman. Is that the same as your reason? In my opinion Richard Dawkins is an arrogant dick, he basically said "anyone that thinks differently to me must be delusional", any argument derived from this is, ironically, delusional... 🙄
  19. It's the question I've asked, in many different ways, throughout the last 10 or so pages, and always ignored; but WTF I feel lucky, why do you care what game's other people play? "I have asked so many that have gone ignored I've lost count." All of your questions have been answered, it's not my fault that you assume anything you don't understand, should be ignored...
  20. Oh come on, this isn't a playground; be honest and point to a post where you, or anyone else, have answered my fundamental question. I can't be bothered with this thread until you, or anyone else, answer my, very simple, fucking question; until you do, I'll be over nyah...
  21. Oh FFS, just answer the question, why do you care? The reason I care is, what if I found myself in a situation where I wouldn't be allowed to play in a game that disallows my webed feet... Over to you... 🧐
  22. It's not absent, you're just looking in the wrong place; try looking for meditation and it's various techniques, both lead and self induced. 😉
  23. This clip sums up my response...
  24. Have you actually read this? "Using testosterone levels as a basis for separating female and male elite athletes is arguably flawed."
