How many times are you going to contribute to a thread, then after you've been shown to be wrong; try to distance yourself from said thread, by trying to appear aloof with a strawman and/or passive aggressive humour; it's perfectly possible to not be ignorant of a country without having lived there, it's a by-product of education.

There is so many sections of society that are utterly pissed off with the status quo; and so many potential straws to add to the burden, if this one isn't the final straw, there will be another one along any time soon. It really depends on how smart the government is. 🤒

If the cops in the US weren't "taught/trained" to be afraid that every single person on the streets is carying a gun this whole situation would be completely different. Except you kind of are, and you're off topic. If the protestor's are willing to face a foe that has a track record of openly killing people, with a leader who is actively encouraging them to do so. I don't imagine the prosect of a cold, possibly worse, is much of a deterant.

Imagine that, a government trying to improve it's situation while hiding it's failures. Yes, he found the perfect place to hide his failures...

Maybe, I just wonder why I needed to take off my helmet to say "that way". Point well missed...

On my way home one day (on my bike), a cop was policing a closed road junction, that I indicated I was turning off of; he not only stopped me doing that, but insisted I took my helmet off; while he investigated where I was going... And I'm a middle-aged white male on a brand new bike in a very friendly rural area of the Cotswolds and he was the first cop I'd spoken too in ten year's... I'm not sure the orchards safe!!!

It's always been my opinion that, anyone who wants to join the police should be stopped from doing so; I kid of course, but there will always be the bad apple's... The difference between the police and a protester is: choice... What makes you think they don't???

How long do think you'd internally 'police' yourself, with someone slapping you in the face? Besides don't judge them, with food in your belly and a safe/dry/warm place to sleep.

Do you doubt the result? A legitimate attempt, by the founding father's, to create a better society. There is no utopia... There is just, better than now... But if you don't want that, the chances are, your now is better than theirs... and good for you... 😉
