Day length vs light intensity
Buy a smart plug / wall receptacle. Connect it to Alexa similar home automation app. Setup schedule (the bulb and Alexa both do this simply, perhaps as a routine). Then just plug your lights into that junction with the new smart plug

What is the nature of our existence?
Depends upon how one defines it. States of consciousness certainly change, when inebriated or otherwise intoxicated, sick, fatigued, dehydrated, low blood sugar, under duress, suffering a head injury, etc.

What is the nature of our existence?
Ok, but it still happens one bite at a time

Artificial Consciousness Is Impossible
If artificial consciousness becomes even more indistinguishable from wet meat computer (biological) consciousness than it already is, does it really matter?

What is the nature of our existence?

What is the nature of our existence?
It doesn’t matter. We do.

Katie Britt SOTU response (split from Political Humor)
Who said anything about voters being reasonable?
-
Katie Britt SOTU response (split from Political Humor)
I’m certain they’re actively looking for ways to change that, most likely under the guise of election integrity

Katie Britt SOTU response (split from Political Humor)
That we’re hypocrites who laugh at one Senator but respect and give a pass to another who obviously did the EXACT same thing. The additional insinuation is that we as a group at SFN do this since we’re insincere partisan hacks who only see the letter beside the Senators names and can’t be bothered watching their conduct or beliefs or voting records. He just wanted to poke us a bit with a rhetorical twig.

Political Humor
I enjoyed that, too. Am sure the Senators favorite part was that she was played by… Scarlett Johansen And one more bc, well, bc snark is how we process modern political pain

What if Biden get re-elected, but drop dead, who will replace him?
Former National Security Adviser, Lt Gen Mike Flynn who played key roles in pushing the Jan6 insurrection, is another very powerful crusader in this fight for the soul of our people.

February 2024 was globally the warmest on record – Global Sea Surface Temperatures at record high
Same trend with those in DC. Yes, absolutely another reinforcing datapoint

No. We entered it almost 200 years ago with the Industrial Revolution. It’s just now becoming so overwhelmingly beyond baseline that even non-experts are seeing it everywhere. Remember these years. They’ll never be this good again. Hashtag uplifting I’m not

Christian nationalism in the US is not the same as Christianity. It’s more like an American version of how the Taliban and ISIS distort Islam. Jesus would be strung up in a gallows for being a woke liberal trying to destroy the country.

Democratically generated backsliding into autocracy seems far more aligned with the plans they’re documenting than theocracy (though right wing Christian nationalism clearly is a player here, too) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_2025

Do you feel a lot better by using a bigger screen phone?
What is a “call,” and why would you ever do that on a phone? Or, do you maybe mean one of those audio only Zooms from the corded TikTok app like my grandmother used to talk about?? I had no idea it was so frowned upon to open a coffee shop. Have you wanted to be a barista for long? That’s what she said It’s far easier to text, write, and read on larger screens. The keyboard is easier to use (tho less relevant now with speech to text). These activities compose the bulk of use cases for majority of modern day phone users.

Growing forests double quick
Unsure I’m interested. Meh. I mean, Trees? For srsly? They don’t even have the courtesy to hug me back. Not even once! I mean, ugh. Maybe 2 stars… tops! You know, come to think of it. Do the trees put out free wi-fi, at least? Do they grow any sort of root based leaf enhanced power charging stations or something?? (and, if they do, those stations had better AT LEAST be configured minimum of USB-C 2.1) Hashtag gotta have standards

Need help with aldehyde resin synthesized from urea, isobutyraldehyde, and formaldehyde Laropal A81
I just buy in a can or (more commonly) in a spray can since I rarely use it and only in special circumstances like when I don’t want paint to bleed into the surrounding wood on carvings

Elon Musk's Neuralink allows to network 1000 human neurons to computers, and most CNS regions (such as V1 cortex) just have a few thousand neurons that network to other regions
You’re basically blogging a light flavor of spam with zero points for discussion (and this is why you’ve been banned at other sites… that plus sock-puppetry)

Resins are finicky. Their composition matters. Some are good for skim coats whereas others are good for deep pours. Their chemistry and how the user preps govern how they behave. Curing can go badly with simple things like improper mixing time. I’ve had to stir some for 5-7 minutes to ensure the reaction goes correctly. Proportions of A and B (resin, hardener, etc.) in the mixture need to be super precise. They’re also sensitive to air temp and humidity levels, especially if those things are fluctuating while it cures. Different products also require specific times between coats, and bonding will fail if the follow-up coat is applied too soon or too late, even if you’ve lightly scuffed the surface for better mechanical bonding. You probably know all this already. I don’t know your answer here, but I do know it often matters whether you’re using standard shellac or de-waxed shellac. I always stick (no pun intended) with the latter.

tape without leaving marks?
There’s also acid free tape one can use for scrap booking and which is safe for photos and portraits and for art. Scotch and 3M are here too common brands
