  1. In this one, the civilian casualties appear intentional.
  2. That’s not what they’re being told. They’re being told that their Russian cousins in Ukraine are being slaughtered and must be protected… that they are there to save them. The dissonance then comes when Russian troops arrive and realize they’re the ones doing the slaughtering and see their missiles being directed at maternity wards and their ordinance are killing children.

  4. Absolutely! When 99%+ of the worlds experts on this topic wholeheartedly agree on what's happening, the very BEST position for you to take is, "We really don't know what to think." You totally nailed it! Well done. Has anyone done a sockpuppet test on this account, btw?
  5. How is it not obvious to you that it was a request for complaints about the topic? EDIT: Initial quote is from Swansont but was misattributed to MSC due to editor bug. Oh, well so long as YOU'RE confident, I suppose that's good enough for everyone else.
  6. If torture’s not right, then this thread should’ve been closed or left to die long ago! /rimshot
  7. Ahhh, but both T-Rex AND human populations can be charted on to graphs ERGO humans are exactly the same as a tyrannosaurus!! Boom… mic drop! Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Stephen Hawking.
  8. Yeah, Jesus didn’t die and come back. That has nothing whatsoever to do with their stories.
  9. Is your intent here to help spread the disinformation to more people, because that’s sure what it seems like.
  10. Which is why I’m not at war with you
  11. Sure there are. They’re the dumb ones. Unless you’ve watched and catalogues the claims of them all, then is better explained as a sampling bias and/or confirmation bias than a valid conclusion. It’s simply inaccurate.
  12. Much like with trolls on Internet forums like this, it’s often as simple as mommy didn’t love them enough.
  13. Bah. 5 threads on ONE subject is always welcome
  14. Thx for the clarification. Typed that as a quick alternative to my original text of “PDF.”
  15. Good point. There’s also often preferential treatment for the children of parents who donate significant funds.
  16. This already happens and has for decades. It’s called raising tuition. It depends on the job, and whether lived experience might be relevant to future success.
  17. Almost 4,400 protesters have already been arrested, some brutally beaten in the process. He's shutdown access to non-state propaganda news sites, and blocked YouTube, FB, Twitter, BBC, and others. He's passed a new law making it illegal to say anything about the Ukraine invasion that does not align with state approved talking points. Anyone breaking that law will be beaten and arrested, their businesses shutdown, and assets siezed. Now China is following suit. The state censorship arm is blocking ALL pro-Ukraine communications, shutting down anything but pro-Putin commentary, blocked all hashtags that are not state approved, and has even taken down past articles and videos from things like the Olympics where people spoke in support of peace and non-invasion of Ukraine. EDIT: In parallel, Russian cyber army and bots are creating TikTok accounts by the thousands (also on other platforms, but those seem to be doing slightly better at policing) spreading false videos suggesting Ukrainian aggression and spreading fake news and disinformation here. The strategy is working better than we'd hope given how many people are now turning to TikTok for updates to what's happening in Ukraine. /EDIT For a moment there, I thought this was about Texas, Florida, Iowa, and other GOP led states. Meanwhile, US is seeking to block Russian sale of gold, something they've been using / can continue using to soften the blow from sanctions.
  18. Maybe bc Russian soldiers are not happy about being asked to kill their cousins
  19. The former. Those massed along the border. Excellent clarifying question.
  20. US defense officials say Russia has now deployed roughly 100% of their military combat force into this Ukraine effort. The Pentagon also confirms that Russia is actively recruiting mercenary fighters from Syria to assist them in Ukraine as Russian war crimes grow with now at least 14 attacks on civilian hospitals and health facilities. The US is sending 500 more troops into Europe bringing the total in the region to 100,000.
  21. FFS, really? So needless
  22. Mostly, considering lifting the sanctions Trump put on Venezuela as a lesser or two evils right now.
  23. I don’t GAF what people say. Welcome to the club Reading this reminded me of reading the actual Mueller Report https://january6th.house.gov/sites/democrats.january6th.house.gov/files/2022.03.02 (ECF 160) Opposition to Plaintiff's Privilege Claims (Redacted).pdf
