Defended my thesis in front of the examination board. They were very pleased, found both the thesis and the presentation excellent, appreciated my direct and to-the-point answers to their questions ... Couldn't ask for more! 8 February is verdict day ...

 Government has shut down again because they can't agree on how to spend the imaginary money that they don't have.

Supervisors were happy with my thesis, said it could easily be a PhD dissertation  to be defended on 21 January ...

Why was this holiday turned into a shopping spree? Damn you Consumerism and Marketing.
I have to buy presents now and I don't know what to do. I don't even want anything!

Even though I have not met any of you guys in RL I dreamt yesterday that I was hanging out with a few members from the forum. Really strange dream. You guys looked like rockers but dressed business casual and the setting was an office space. I don't know why I'm sharing this haha

I was trying to be good and save money this year and I just got a big fine for 1 day delay in paying the car insurance. The two are not related but damn. Life has a way of kicking you when you're up... or down for that matter.

It is a good day today. We’ve managed along with my partner to finalize a deal which will let us breathe and gain the peace of mind which we need so very much after bad streaks in recent years.

My cousin Jeff Stewart died this morning. Jeff was more than a cousin, he was my brother in so many ways, the way only a real brother can be. One of the few people I have ever known who was basically a good person no matter what situation he found himself in. It's difficult to wrap my head around the fact a world can exist without Jeff in it.

Anti-vax march in Warsaw here today, looks like 30 thousand or more are there. Curious that the scum of the earth is associated with them and seem to live a symbiotic life - nazi preachers, agressive conspiracy theorists, extreme right preachers, etc. If I Firefighters should fill their trucks with hydrogen peroxide and use it on the protesters, scary to walk into town today. 

Why is this forum so incredibly unpopular? While i cannot see statistics for guests, active registered members at any one time is at a level i would expect for a forum about albino cats.

My father has died from Malaria. It was quick, but the next few weeks are gonna be tough.

It looks like I may have had a mild stroke, I sprung the door on my car by backing up into a pole with the door open and now it won't shut and my left hand is swollen like I have on boxing gloves. I'm not sure if my mind has been affected but I remember nothing of the last 24 hours or so, I certainly don't remember damaging my hand or car. I won't post again until i get some treatment.

Freezing rain has started here, it's been below freezing two or three days now, very unusual for this area. The weather says sleet and then snow, I just can't wait 

Christmas is the most unhealthy holliday I can think of (at least here) It will be a true miracle if I don’t get a heart attack from all the food I stuffed myself with tonight. I am officially dying here.

Our 18 month old became recently as distructive as a black hole. He grabs things, imediately runs away at light speed laughing like an evil space lord and boom - the object is gone into oblivion. He fell asleep, we wanted to watch a movie but I can’t get the amp to work... aparently the evil space lord took care of that too.
