  1. I bet they would too... *shakes fist at microsoft corp*!!! lol
  2. It probably does have a decaying orbit, but the "solar wind friction" would be so small that it would take a few billion years to be noticeable. About the elliptical orbits, think of this. When you throw a ball in the air it takes a parabolic trip but what if the earth wasn't in the way? it would orbit the center of the Earth in a very elliptical orbit.
  3. enqo enpo owot htnere ifmev igelth hirtkntee wetjynt*enio hithyrt*ofgru ifffyt*ifeev igedyht*incen not as easy I hope
  4. yah, even light can orbit it. All blackholes have a light band just outside the point of no return. we're orbiting the massive blackhole in the center of our galaxy as we speak.
  5. So that turkey dinner of yours has the energy to blowup the world lol
  6. how do get a spammers ip in the first place though? I know how to find out all that information with the IP address first... I did a little survey with shareaza, lots of german people like starcraft apparently lol
  7. Oh! I have a way easier one: cienceys orumsuzf otallyaat ocksobr& onnorsocc odeedc siei otofn ossibleigp& olohl
  8. Could you tell us what kind of cypher is it? if it contains random letters then its probably impossible. As is there's not enough information for anyone to want to try
  9. wait wait, what do they mean by "size of the universe"? I would think the size of the universe would be 15 billion ly's...
  10. wha? where does the 1/2 in the front come from?
  11. Hello all! first of all I would like to say this is NOT homework , I know that's probably what everyone says but its true. I actually thought up this question myself (yes I have time on my hands ) but have not been able to solve it. I'm in Calculus right now, but finished taking grade 12 physics last year. Needless to say I'm a bit rusty, which is why I need help on answering this... I'm not sure if anyone here knows what I'm talking about but the playground near my house has a big concrete cylinder thing to play in. This problem makes more sense if you keep in mind lol A 35 kg child in a 3 m radius cylinder concrete thing ( ) slides down from the left side at the center point. The coefficient of friction between the child and 'pipe' is 1/8. How fast is he travelling when he hits the bottom of the 'pipe'. diagram should be attached to this post. I figured out that the bottom half of the pipe is all you need for the question and the equation of the bottom of a half circle is [math]y = -\sqrt{r^2 - x^2}[/math]. r^2 is 9 in this question. I know I need calculus for this, because the net force on the kid is constantly changing. As he slides down the slope (derivative) is changing causing the friction to change as well. What I can't get my head around is how I use this information to solve the problem, it's probably just that I'm forgetting some physics equations... btw the derivative of [math]y = -\sqrt{3^2 - x^2}[/math] is [math]y' = \frac{-2x}{\sqrt{3^2 - x^2}}[/math] thanks in advance!
  12. can't photons bend spacetime too? They have a relative mass which has to do with their energy
  13. well to display 4 Spatial dimensions on a 2D surface is definitely impossible... possibly if it was some kind of 3D medium being drawn upon...
  14. There are alot of wierd eye things out there. An example is myself, when I see a computer monitor on refresh rate higher then 60 Hz I can see the screen flicker... You'd think it would be smoother higher it is, may be cause I'm used to TV. Anyways I wish I could see some infared, I've heard of artificial eyes being made that could be configured to take in infared or whatever other bandwith you'd like. They've only managed 256x256 resolution in black and white so far... very interesting though
  15. well you could have 4 dimensions if you added color to a 3 dimensional graph and let hot / cold colors represent different numbers.
  16. I've also heard a plausible theory for a fission core... a natural nuclear reactor as the core. Really, we could debate and debate but unless we dig a hole 5500 km or so we won't know exactly what is going on.
  17. I heard something like, we physically only need an hour of sleep but mentally need the 6-8... Probably a myth though like the "we only use 10% of our brains" thing
  18. hehehehehe... oh your serious. no there is not connection with black holes and the bermuda triangle lol
  19. Could be, but I dont have the answers
  20. OK then, better question. What material could you use to make this "bunker" that could have the thinnest wall and still protect you, and say radiation isn't a factor (just the force and heat of the blast).
  21. I had that stupid cube cut in half problem when I did the fermat's last year. Exact same problem needless to say I didnt get the answer lol I have a problem from another fermat exam I found on the internet (section c). Bill and Jill are hired to paint a line on a road. If Bill works by himself he could paint the line in B hours. If Jill works by herself, she could paint the line in J hours. Bill starts painting the line from one end, and Jill begins painting the line from the other end one hour later. They both work until the line is painted. Which of the following is an expression for the number of hours that Bill works? (A) [math]\frac{B(J+1)}{B+J}[/math] (B) [math]J+1[/math] © [math]\frac{BJ}{B+J}+1[/math] (D) [math]\frac{B+J-1}{2}[/math] (E) [math]\frac{B(J-1)}{B+J}[/math]
  22. er, if you did have an accident and lost your nails, they would just grow back lol I had a hangnail on my big toe that got infected. Eventually the toe nail fell off, by then though the "squishy part" was already starting to get hard. Anyways, like it's already been said, nails are there to help grasping things. I guess if you pick things up with your toes nails would help lol
  23. have you ever tried the grape experiment? I wouldn't really condone it or any of these plasma experiments because it could blow up your microwave. lol but what you do is you cut a grape almost all the way through so that its still attached by the skin. place it so that the two halves are open. When you turn on the microwave plasma jets shoot out of the connecting skin between the grapes. I forget why it does this but it's so freakin cool lol
