  1. Quite. Seeing what you want to see. But for me the fireball reports (21 of them) from across 4 states is pretty decisive. I searched "1st May meteor Las Vegas" and got that link straight away. Funny that people predisposed to attribute these reports to aliens don't take the elementary precaution of running a few simple checks before committing themselves to their preferred version of events.

  2. Haha! Yup. I see Nikki Haley also weighed in, with one of those "maybe it's a crime...but it's not the BAD sort of crime" dismissals. I think it would be terrible for the country to have a former president in prison for years because of a documents case. So I would be inclined in favor of a pardon. - Nikki Haley I love the way she called it a "documents case," as if this is nothing but a harmless and bumbling packrat - sorta like one of those people who has a coffee table full of overdue books from the library.

  3. I also thank @exchemist for his fact-check on the interstate fireball sightings. And I am surprised that intelligent people can ignore the human penchant for pranking, fakery, and tall tale telling - which is often on display after any dramatic atmospheric phenomenon tweaks the public imagination. I would only add that a second Avatar movie, which happened to feature ten foot tall aliens was released about four months before this Vegas sighting. Like Agent Mulder, @Alex_Krycek wants to believe. 🙂

  4. Surely the operation of something like a Van de Graaf generator would explain why this isn't entirely a myth? High voltage, but very little charge, so you get a shock but little current and no danger.

  5. I'm sure no one is upset, the members are just trying to help you understand some physics concepts and point out where you went off track. In your second post you have a clock that has the "60 digit Fibonacci cycle". Where did those '60 digit' numbers come from? The Fibonacci sequence is 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34..., so I am not, sure what your numbers are. Thanks.

  6. I don't know if it matters here, but generally mathematical objects can be considered in a variety of perspectives. For example, a complex number can be considered as built of real and imaginary parts or of phase and magnitude.

  7. Nothing “crashed”, that’s obvious from the widespread fireball sightings I linked earlier, but which you have opted to ignore. So all we’re left with is the uncorroborated testimony of these panicky people. The video footage shows nothing. It’s a total non-story.

Just reorder the natural numbers from their usual order, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, ... by taking 0 and putting it at the end to get the ordered set: 1, 2, 3, 4, ..., 0 That's an infinite, ordered set of of numbers that's the exact same set as the natural numbers in their usual order, but has both a first and last element.

  9. They could have seen something. Not aliens, but not a complete fabrication. It’s night, they’re on edge, and it’s difficult to judge sizes and distances without a reference. Why does this have to be the specific scenario? The 911 call, and discussion with police in the video just says two beings, 8 to 10 feet tall, with big eyes. Did the 911 call say anything about the craft? Did they say it landed there, or is that just being assumed here? What if there’s no actual connection between the light in the sky and the call to the police. Just in the mind of the people. The light triggers the imagination, perhaps the hear a noise, and all of the sudden everything unusual they see, they think it’s aliens. We don’t know. But neither do the people that are filling in the blanks with the assumption that it’s aliens. None of that is evidence.

So it clearly wasn't a local phenomenon, like a spacecraft landing in the vicinity of the town. And the "alien" picture could be anything at all. Move along ladies and gents, nothing to see here.

It's absurd by any measure to consider repayment 'by skin colour', and harks to the OP's proposition that if you go looking for racism as the origin of 'X', then you'll find what you are looking for. But are the 'labelling' of past injustices not merely the differences between whiteboards and blackboards? There have been black slave owners and white slaves for as long as there has been slavery, if one goes looking then one will find that too .... Whether one can trace immoral gains through generations and equate "these dollar now" to "that dollar then", because without that level of auditability, the answer is objectively there cannot be some form of 'repayment'. In some cases, there are families in the UK who gained from Government compensation payments for slaves at the time of abolition, because all that was recorded precisely, and in those cases one can see a direct connection between 'that compensation' and 'that house' (say) and in those cases some of those people are taking it upon themselves to accept there is a connection. But in the general case, unless there is that sort of record, simply 'no', there can be no fair means for direct 'extraction' from one racial group to another, it is literally racist to do that. Society as a whole is paying for issues of today rooted in the past already and has been paying for decades, and we have all gained or lost from the past and we all now are elevated by the means of social taxation and benefits. The effects of the past on the privations of today are paid for in that way, and no social minority is untouched by some level of privation rooted in past injustices.

  15. A recent paper states the real pseudoscience is exactly those unperceivable things named with 'dark'. Throwing something into the unknown part of reality for solving the theoretical problem is not the real rigorous science. This study argues that It is time, from a much more general view, to consider the common defects in the principle behind all the previous measure methods or physical laws summarized by the predecessors rather than keep adding new theories or new phenomena for amending the old cracks. Otherwise, the development of science will become bogged down in mud and also lead all people not to the real nature of reality but to a totally strange magic one.   16. No matter the equation or the explanation of probability, all these abstract products are based on the previous experiments that shows there is some abnormal performance on micro phenomena. Without the experiments to support, it is unnecessary to create those abstract products. Thus, the starting point is the measurement in experiment rather than either any mathematical equation or the concept, which are created afterwards to fit the perception in experiment.

  17. 'A state is a probability function' is obviously not the starting point. The real beginning is from the experiment, we found the uncertainty of simultaneous measurement for micro particle exists. To better explain the reason, describing state by probability is an option that seems make sense temporarily under the current physics frame.

  18. So far what the OP has presented sounds like a mangled word salad gone through a high RPM blender. There isn't even sufficient material to examine to see if that statement holds true or not. Judging from the errors mentioned so far. I won't hold any hopes for significant improvement. Sounds more like another "Let's rewrite physics without understanding the physics being rewritten"

  20. I thought some might be interested in this. A UFO has landed and took off from a backyard in Vegas! A cop caught it on his body cam and the people who saw it said the aliens were 8 feet tall!
