Hi, I was recently in a discussion/arguement with a new age spiritualist, he was using quantumn physics examples to show free will and argue about spirits and weird stuff. Especially he was speaking of morality with references to positive and negative and the attributes of the electron and proton. I argued that positive and negative are simply words to describe the electron and the proton as opposites, the descriptions could actually be switched and thus the (Maxwells) equations could be inverted and obtain the same results. I understand that there's a definite relationship between the size of an eye and the wavelengths it can receive. This being so, just how small can an eye be, while still able to receive light in the visual spectrum? NB. I've recently been considering buying a material titled "sorbothane", a very soft and energy-absorbent derivative of polyurethane. This docent make sense to me. Lets say that you had a tub of salt water it the middle of the tub there's a divider. On one side of the tub theirs more salt than the other. If you remove the divider the salt would move around until there's the same amount of salt everywhere. Why is this. Why dose hot air rises i know its less dense because heat expands but how dose that have anything to do with it rising. Dose it weigh less because its less dense than cold air.

on the subject of gravity in general, supposedly mass warps space and the action of gravitation stems from this behaviour. If so, then why does mass affect space? I have a new theory My theory is that I will never reach the intellectual heights of people like Newton or Einstein so all I can do is ask questions to try and understand as best I can the theories that these people intellectually superior to me come up with. So I was just wondering if there is an upper and lower limit to how much energy a photon can have. The Energy Conservation Law states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, but may be transformed. A hydroelectric plant generates electrical energy, where does it come from? This isn't homework. I'm reviewing physics after many years of neglect. Since a simple harmonic oscillator is a conservative system with no energy losses, then a driven undamped harmonic oscillator, once the transient solution has died out, can't be receiving any energy from the driving mechanism, else the system's M.E. would increase without bound.
