Speculations Forum Rules

The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:

  1. Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
  2. Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
  3. Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.

The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

  1. What is it that holds our universe together? What is on the other side of our universe? What keeps these 2 universes apart if there are indeed 2 or more? So in a flux cluster universe as I visualise it, maybe the clusters themselves finally can't be reproduced anymore and whats left is the energy from the universe. Maybe when this energy meets the energy from the universe/s next to us it creates a positive/negative energy flux which keeps universes apart. Or something similar. Everything has an edge’ shape’ or shell’, everything. And if nature follows nature then our universe must have an edge’ shape’ or shell’. Maybe the energy retracts and the …

  2. In life, there always seems to me to be something for something so that it can grow, develop, be countered and be recreated in some way, whether specific or vague animals/life sort of thing. If a nettle stings you, theres usually a dock leaf not far away. If bitten by a snake, theres a good chance there is an anti venom. From an Earth pov, it feels to me like either we were very fortunate to be created on a planet with everything we need to survive or we/life was designed here… It doesn’t mean we don’t have free thought, just that we are an extremely clever design. If I were to make a human, what better way? Maybe add better self healing abilities but otherwise?…

  3. So how important are these SQEP’s? Extremely I believe, in the scheme of things. I visualise without these maybe nothing else would happen… or maybe something would but the opposite of this unviverse perhaps if it did…? Negative fluxes? In my head I think in the scheme of things they should exist. Nature being Nature. I think these things move so fast or are created so fast that, created to die, they can’t possibly gain any soldity at any stage during the flux. So even though they’re there, they are not. This only gets more confusing seemingly, but once you understand the basic SQEP dynamics I am seeing or trying to explain, the rest will I hope b…

Ok, since I was a child and until today, I can create this feeling that generally feels strongest in my core, right around where my diaphragm is. But, when I focus on different parts of my body I can "distribute" part of the intensity to that particular area, be it my foot or my hands or my thighs, etc. It is this powerful tingling sensation, it feels really good and if I sustain it for 4 seconds, it can become VERY strong. I can hold it for as long as I please but it gets gradually more difficult the longer I hold it. I tried looking everywhere for an answer but cannot find anything except others speaking of this same feeling, but no answers. Can anyone tell me what…

  5. By: Two totally verified science experts So recently, me and another science expert were deliberating on the topic of Santa Clause. Was he real? Was he plausible? We thought not. However, the other science expert came up with a theory that sounds totally absurd at first, but if you think about it it makes a lot of sense. We then continued to add some plausible, key facts to it, and we have now formulated a theory. Ok, so here goes the explanation: So you guys know how a LOT of people think Santa is made up because he isn't 'scientifically' possible or real? Well, Santa Claus was based off of St. Nicholas of Myra, who basically lived in Constantinople in presen…

Disclaimer: I am not a physicist, I merely had my curiosity peaked regarding Albert Einstein's theory of relativity, and one thing lead to another, until I came up with this. Please feel free to brainstorm alongside myself for other ideas, things I may not have considered, or anything else you want to add. Theory of mass-space relationship, gravity, and space distortion. Vulcan was a planet hypothesized in order to explain Mercury's unusual orbit around the sun. However, when Einstein came up with the theory of relativity, and how mass warps space-time, it explained Mercury's orbit, and thus Vulcan no longer was believed in. If, indeed, mass …

  7. The main hypothesis explaining the Fermi paradox is that the life is too rare at our universe (other civilizations are too far from us). One of the versions of this hypothesis is that the abiogenesis is too low-probable. I have already criticized this hypothesis, separating rarity in space and rarity in time. And here is another reasoning - the anthropic principle. As far as I understand, the idea of a multiverse, or a multitude of universes with different laws of nature, is mainstream in modern science. So it turns out logically that there should be "universes with the Fermi paradox" and "universes without it", i.e. in the first universes life is rare in the metagalaxy, …

  8. The following is based on the classic Kaluza model of 1919 plus some input from Wesson’s space-time-matter theory. The original ansatz gives totally wrong order of magnitude for particle properties, which, starting with Klein, led to attempts to combine the model with QM. I only refer to Kaluza without Klein. With minor modifications such a model, based on the concepts of differential geometry of GR only, is not only capable to describe particles but does so much better than the standard model of particle physics. It gives e.g. - a priori 12 elementary objects with charges corresponding to those of the “elementary” fermions of the SM; - mass & magnetic moments o…

Studying this is a complete waster of time. The theory is that much of the universe is made up of "dark matter". What is more important is to see this as "time". It is a bit complicated and relies on an element of belief. But I am just trying to saving our scientists (and people on this planet), from wasting their time.

I've developed a TOE and would like feedback on it. I'd particularly like comments on a proposed a modified Bohr atomic model. In the new model an electron in a hydrogen atom collapses to a particle at the n=1 quantum state. In higher quantum states the electron is a wave and has no mass. In the ground state the electron has mass and gravity keeps the electron in orbit around the proton. The other major change is electric charge is proposed to be emergent rather than constant. The changes account for all verified atomic observations and explain the stability at the n=1 ground state and the emission of energy (photons) below the 0 energy state. This TOE challenges se…

  11. An ironic advantage of spirituality is that to promote relevance to astronomical transcendence or unconsciousness means that you know you’re absolutely not relevant to a specific quantum system. By contrast those promoting materialism might accidentally imply there was a sarcastic risk of themselves being slightly relevant by stating they weren’t relevant in a way that could backfire for atomic nanometers! So when we think of obsessions about semantics in philosophy it might turn out relevant in clarifying the double slit experiment. For example when we observe a classical object like a chair there’s a surplus of photons whereas when we think of the double slit experiment…

I have been playing the role of Cassandra for over 40 years watching you people floundering around acting like you know. You are trying to understand something I saw in 1982. I'm sure you will finally get there, but you better hurry up every chance you get. Here is one last turd from the sandbox. When I see tornado forming in the clouds and growing bigger and bigger, reaching down toward earth I see something coming into existence that wasn't there before. The air molecules are being organized in such a way that allows and actually forces more and more air to be pulled into the new matrix (the pull of gravity). The first time I saw an EF5 tornado touch down, b…

The cells in your soul, that make up your soul, deterioates over time. Stress, manual labour etc. makes them age faster, if it goes beyond normal use. And, if you change them all, it wouldn`t be you anymore ether. You`re kinda stuck with the same cells all life. The more complex you are in intelligence and makeup, the longer you live. So, if you born with 70 IQ for example, you usually live to around 60, while 120 and above, maybe 110 years old. This is because the higher intelligence, the more cells in the soul. So where is the soul? It`s not actually in the brain, it`s below it, in the brain-stem. It`s more like a muscle, while the brain is more like an organ of …

We all see light or so we think. I will attempt to convince you that what we experience and what is real are two very different things. I shall start with an example or two before I move on to the humble photon. Have you ever heard the expression, if a tree falls in the forest and there is no one to hear it fall does it still make a noise? If you burn your skin but you have no brain will you feel the pain? So now let us look at light or should I say the photon, when we cast our eyes on an object that emits protons we see the object and determine that it is indeed illuminated, but is it? Well, I can tell you that what we see is all in our mind, we live …

The energy associated with the Higgs field’s VEV, about 246 GeV, contributes to the overall vacuum energy of the universe. However, the contribution of the Higgs field to the vacuum energy is expected to be much larger than the observed value of the cosmological constant/ vacuum energy, leading to a significant discrepancy known as the cosmological constant problem. Why? (The cosmological constant is here in this issue treated same as the vacuum energy.) (Thus, the cosmological constant is the overall vacuum density. And the vacuum energy is seen as the fluctuations in various volumes of universe. Where the mean value is detected to about 3 GeV/m^3) T…

  17. I propose that dark matter isn't a new particle, but an emergent phenomenon arising from the collective behaviour of electron waves on cosmological scales. Key Points: Electron Wave Coherence: Vast, "quiet" regions of space, with minimal matter, energy, and gravitational disturbances, allow electron waves to maintain coherence over vast distances. Particles entering these regions are predisposed to join existing large-scale electron waves, contributing to their growth and stability. Emergent Gravity and Galaxy Formation: These enormous, coherent electron waves interact with spacetime, generating an emergent gravitational field…

  18. I'm seeing more and more posts online now of people who have clinically died and claim to have not seen anything. Some have said it was like going into a deep sleep and remember nothing else. One guy even said he became atheist because he saw no white light, tunnel, guides...nothing. Just a sensation of "deep sleep". So what's up with that? Stories like this makes me wonder sometimes at the validity of most NDES and makes me wonder if they truly are real or just coming from a dying brain. When I read posts like this doubt creeps in and makes me question if NDEs,OBES etc are even real?

Your mathematics of big bang runs into a singularity before it can get there, so you result to collider boondoggles to prove first cause and all you can come up with is some mysterious Higgs boson. Pretty weak! There is the presence of something that explains an atomic riddle. It seems that certain radioactive atoms emit far more energy than would be expected. This excess of radiation is derived from the breaking up of a yet to be discovered energy carrier that moves basic units of materialized energy into atomic mass (hydrogen atoms) creating an active nucleus and giving rise to the electronic organization of matter and electric charge. This is first cause. Y…

Thanks to all the posts on this forum to my posts. This is where I am up to so far.... The pretence is that there was time before the Big Bang. The question is what might this time look like? My proposal is that some of the time might look similar to what we see in the world today. So let's propose that there were earth worlds in the past. What is the model? Well, they would have had their own Big Bang. For the sake of argument let's argue that they there existed a "smaller" time than ours. So a smaller earth world and a smaller universe. Over time an earth world develops. Oceans form and plant life comes on to the planet. Then …

What if I told you the same quantum phenomenon responsible for quantum entanglement can manifest as dark energy and black hole evaporation (Hawking radiation)? And even cause dark matter? the sun explodes but it also collapsed from less dense gas. As the earth formed formed from debris. Gravity forms and it decays.

  23. Chapter 1: The standard model of the mind The standard model of the mind starts with the factors of the standard model of physics, which are mass and energy. So what is the mass and energy of the mind? Mass is the talent, which is to say talent to read people or talent to read and comprehend written material. Energy is the personality factor in question. The personality factors in question could be the bad factors, the neutral factors, and the good factors. The bad factors are the dark tetrad of personality, namely greed, violence, manipulation, and apathy. The neutral factors are extroversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability, and openness to exper…

  24. I have a theory which explains the Gravity as dynamical force which appears only between moving particles. Actually electric and strong (aka nuclear) forces also appears only between particles, but as static ones. This theory has few conclusions. One of them that the infinitly continued relative movement of all bodies in the space remains by means of dynamical force of gravity. Thus, 1. Stars in any galaxy move with weak acceleration. By time they their orbit and speed increase. When they reach the galaxy's periferia their velocity increased greatly. This is explanation for dark matter phenomena. 2. Cosmic rays get their high speed and energy during …

Distance in S': The distance traveled by light in the frame of reference `S'` is not the same as in `S`. Indeed, the mirror, which is stationary in `S`, is moving i…
