I videotaped someone playing the piano and I want to see what notes they played. However, the clip is a bit blurry. How can I make it clearer?

  2. This used to happen in the past only when viewing the ‘details’ of certain video files. I used to get "Windows Explorer has encountered an error and needs to close..." but later all the explorer functions would just restart with out the friendly little error message. I guess I shouldnt have let this error go unoticed for so long but I’ve just been assuming that it had something to do with not having the ‘proper encodings’ to view the file.[sense I never use media player – VLC and BSPlayer] (I realize that the 'quick view' in the corner is obtained from the file itself as a template so my comp. is not just 'viewing the first frame') Now, explorer cashes and restarts…

Today (December 15, 2004) I have been having trouble getting into my Microsoft Hotmail account. When I finally logged in, I noticed that the web site was moving very slow. When I went to my inbox I was very surprised to find messages that I had deleted. Some of them were deleted over a year ago. All of the messages were old messages from Homestead, my web-hosting provider. At first, I thought Homestead accidentally sent me all of their old e-mail messages. Then I noticed that in my inbox, the dates that were shown were all from a long time ago. Does this mean that Microsoft secretly keeps all of your e-mail messages after you delete them? I thought this was again…

I have an old Dell that used to run Windows NT. It stopped working and I installed Windows 98 SE. I then used Partition Magic to repartition the 6 GB hard drive to fit SuSE Linux on it. I tried resizing and it didn't allow Linux to install. So I created a SWAP and ext2 partition. Here comes the bad part...Ever since doing that, Windows 98 SE won't boot. It just comes up in what looks like MS-DOS but I can't type and all I see is the DOS blinking cursor (underscore-type). I was able to install SuSE and can still see the C drive and all of the Windows files. I just cant boot. I copied all of the files over to my other computer. I have a verbatim copy of the …

Hey all, I'm planning on making a depth perception program for my comp. Basicly the possibilities are endless. My question to you guys is: What would you think could allow me to use two webcams (which i interface into my java programs and run both at the same time), pointed at angles based on their viewing angles, to get somewhat of a 3d model? I'm talking the actual algorithm aspect of it, not how to program 3d or get webcam in put. Does anyone know what kind of calculations would let me do such a thing. It could be AMAZING. Looking forward to see what you guys think

  11. I have created a TI-BASIC tutorial, which is for TI-82, 83, and 84 calculators specifically. I'm not sure how the other ones work in terms of their BASIC, and I know the TI-89 BASIC is much different. Here it is: http://s8.invisionfree.com/ComputerGeek/index.php?showtopic=44

I'm currently coding an encryption algorithm based on Reversible Cellular Automata. The original idea is from Stephen Wolfram. What I do is : loading the file into bitfield form. The key is 1024bit and give me 128 type of transformations appliable on the bitfield (from the 256 possible elementary cellular automata rules). I apply this 128 transfo according to the key. Then I got two bitfields necessary to decypher the file. The size of the file is doubled, so (we need two steps of transfo in order to reverse the transformation. I added a dependance on the step back in order to have a reversible transfo). This is the main issue. Second issue is that is a symetric en…

Every time I try to go onto my email, it freezes and pops up an error. I wrote down the message. "The intructions at "0x026137c6" referenced memory at "0x026a6ec0". The Memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program. Something like that, I think I miswrote some stuff, but that's what it says. Then I click OK like it tells me to and another one of those pop up. I click OK and another pops up. and another...another... So the only way to stop it is to restart the computer or press Alt+Ctrl+Del, and even then it might freeze. What the heck is it? How do I stop it?

How does a computer know to seperate the binary digits. For example in this text: hiya there'd be the binary coding for "h" "i" "y" "a" but how does the computer know when to sepearte the 1s and 0s making H to start off and make I... like if "h" was 10101010 (made up, whatever!) and then I starts off with a 1, then how does the computer know that H is 10101010 and not 101010101 with the extra 1 on the end from the I... that new number (with the extra 1) could be another letter or something. So how does a computer 'know'?

Hi all, Running:Win XP SP2 Its bveen about 2 onths since i last did a clean install of my comp and now i am getting some funny error when i try to run openGL applications. They simply crash before any graphics are displayed and say that a file appcompat.txt was involved. I have done a bit of searching on the net but have found no specific solution for my problem. Some sites blame it on the spyware 'WinTools" however i have found no trace of this on my system. Just wondering if you guys had any experiance with this problem or sugestions on how i might fix it. Thx alot -Lucas

Recently, I found that my computer was very noisy and it makes many noises. Perhaps, it emits some waves together with some harmful radiation. I don't know but I dislike them very much. I switched off the power button on the plug. Later, when I switched it and the power button of my computer on again, my computer just had one light abnormally. Normally, it has two light on when it is operating properly. Of course, it couldn't be used at the moment. Nothing is on my screen. The connection of my monitor to my machine seemed to be out of order but I didn;t think so. I waited several minutes and it ran again. It needed to be "warm up". What's the matter with it ?

Hi ther, I often have to draw laboratory setups, diagrams, physical situations (inclined plan, ballistics, optics...)... I use paint but I am really getting fed up. I find it hard to do anything that looks decent. My friend has suggested to do my drawing, diagrams... using Powerpoint. Since I haven't used this program in over 7 years, I wanted to get other opinions before I start working with it. Thanks for any suggestions, Mr. Billy
