  1. Welcome! Good luck at school. I also love music. Hope you enjoy it as I do. Regards.
  2. Amazing. Let's meet a black hole! hahahaahha
  3. A way to induce the human immune system to work like crocodile's one would be a good key to HIV, but I really think it may sounds fictional. Finding how crocodile is able to destroy HIV in a more efficient way would be excellent. I think the funny of all is that crocodiles are an unexpected source of cure. I mean, when looking for a cure for cancer, aids (examples), would your first thought be 'crocodiles'??
  4. I loved it. Would it be a hope against HIV? I've been knowing lots of new chances of finding cures to HIV, Cancer, etc. but I haven't heard anything like "it DO cures". Great thread ;D
  5. \o/ yeah! I haven't contributed much scientificaly since I'm in a low level at school stuff by my age. But I loved what you said! Sometimes, a dictionary becomes necessary of course, but I am always trying to participate somehow since I loved this forum and it's the first foreign one I do participate. Thanks a lot!
  6. Rio is awesome. You may not believe it, but even if living here I've never gone to Christ, The Redemptor nor Corcovado and other tourism attractions of here. I know American ones who has gone twice haha. -------- Sarcasm here is used VERY often.
  7. You did it? Really good. Brazilians usually have a nice hospitality. What state did you visit?
  8. I'm sure your second sentence is sarcastic and you are right. Brazilians have their priorities in the wrong order, absolutely. The Brazilian government and the Brazilian media prefers to exhibit fool things than value education. It is a disgusting problem usually involved with Latin American countries. But what can't happen is prejudice against people from those countries. You cannot generalize it.
  9. PubMed is very good. I think Google has a tool, too. And I've heard something about SciFinder but I couldn't check it out yet.
  10. I loved the topic you've put on this other forum. I'm feeling like someone with many stone-shooters wanting to kill me. Now, I got your point of turning these elements stable. I admit now I'm completely wrong =\ I don't have how to support my argument. Thanks for the discussion.
  11. So, we get more without working hard? It sounds good for me. Many Brazilians are lazy, but it isn't a stereotype definitely as many Americans are (and other countries too). It's not something by country. But well, what cares is that I am not lazy. That's enough for me.
  12. In Brazilian Portuguese, it's like Phi for All mentioned in U.S. Like: "Yeaaaaah! He works a loooot!" Using a sarcastic tone.
  13. ~ Unknown caused pain in the wrist when 10 y.o. twice lasting like ten seconds. ~ When I broke my right hand, punching my bed in a dream, 14 y.o.
  14. I thought all the discussion proposed very interesting. The points I was wanting to make clear are: Is it possible to study the properties of those elements in sufficient time? And, are these properties useful for chemistry even if those elements can't be "used"? And, getting away from the question of just "putting them on the periodic table", can those elements be recognized as elements, which we can "see"??? Aren't they just like "genetic modification" (comparing to biology). When I say "those elements", I want to mean those who are artificial and takes one, two... seconds or less to lower the energy level (sorry, if I used a wrong expression).
  15. I was thinking. There are lots of artificial elements in the periodic table, most of them are extremely heavy and they're usually elements which have a half life of some minutes, seconds, or less like Ununoctium. Is it right to put them in the periodic table? I don't think it's useful. What do you think?
  16. I'm pretty crazy. When I posted I did not realize it was page 18. I thought it was a new thread BTW, medicines being tested in dead people? I did not get the point...
  17. Depending on what's few, I've never kidded, neither has science. hahaa a few times a day. my limit is over now.
  18. Is there a murder that disagree with him? I do agree. Would you offer your son to test a drug that would be able to save everyone? I'd rather offer my dog (if there wasn't a mouse available).
  19. why am I not in this list? hahahahahahahahahhaha
  20. Well, I've seen a documentary, many years ago (no, I was not a baby) about a fast food owner who was using used (very used haha) vegetable oil to make biofuel, specifically biodiesel... Well, I don't think it's worth the hassle. I think it's much better to make soap, I guess the price of vegetable oil is much higher than biofuel, correct me if I'm wrong please.
  21. Thanks. That was my doubt ;D Now it isnt anymore.
  22. I'm sorry, I don't have enough knowledge to answer about the enthalpies =\
  23. It's just a curiosity. When the hydrogen ignites during the explosive reaction Na + H2O* * 2Na + 2H2O --> 2NaOH + H2 Can the Na that didn't react yet, react with O2 of the fire? 4Na + O2 --> 2Na2O And produce sodium oxide which would fall on water and producce NaOH? I remember I've put it in a Chemistry Lab Report and the teacher did not understand why did I 'invent' it... Can't it happen?
  24. yes and you're right, i don't think it's so difficult to react with H2CO3. just put in coke... ohh, it's more a joke. to tell you the truth, i'm smarter kidding than talking serious.
