  1. I'm sure he was... I guess he was brilliant because he wasn't so worried with shallow stuff. He was just concentrating on science and how stuff work. And that curiosity made him answer complex questions with simple answers... as everything is relative. Einstein was focused on different things, and we know, the particular size in one part of his brain contributed a lot
  2. Thank you and thank you... that's exactly what I was looking for! Perfect website... I was finding lots of different answers (including this one) and this is the only which made sense. that's great.
  3. In a lab class, we have done the following experience: 1. In a watch glass was put some KMnO4 grains, then, some drops of concentrated sulfuric acid. 2. On the end of a glass rod, we put a piece of cotton and we wet it in Ethylic Alcohol. Final part: We leaned the cotton on the watch glass. Result: An explosion (much gas) so... I cant understand what happened, what's the function of the sulfuric acid... and what are the reactions...
  4. I like to have more than one to study... Like separated specific subjects... I recommend: General Chemistry (John B. Russel) Basic Inorganic Chemistry (Cotton/Wilkinson) Organic Chemistry (Morrison and Boyd) Textbook of macro and semimicro quantitative inorganic analysis (A. Vogel)
  5. Whats going on? And the water...? (I feel really cheeky as it's my 1st post) What an insane subject change! My mom has the same problem about water... she can drink coke, juices, milk, etc. but pure H2O makes her feel sick... I dont have any idea about the reason... but if you shallow drinks which contains water, I don't think it's really a big problem... I'd really like to know why it happens.
