  1. The garden one. Its tiring watching her do the gardens.
  2. I think the mouse trap is used for its spring to provide motive power. Its not a mouse trap car, its a mouse trap powered car.

Your'e trying to put the mmmmMMMMMmmmm back into Mattsons aren't you. Improve the shelf life of the sausage too no doubt.

    Nitro Kits

I think free oxygen is just too reactive. The engine would gradualy get lighter
  5. It could be an advantage with the chav. They will obviously desire a Burrbery baby and, may be prepared to work to pay for it.
  6. Maybe the extra support from the brackets kept those areas raised. People sitting on those areas would clean moisture trapping dirt away. The lower areas would collect water and dirt. Freeze thaw cycle would let water in. Just a guess.
  7. Using plants to use the co2 and make oxygen would be easy enough if we find frozen water. Then if possible large orbiting mirrors to reflect a bit more light/heat down and deflect some direct radiation. Tis a nice idea. I would like to see something like this in my life time. Come on NASA, you got while next Tuesday.
  8. Solar orbit might be a problem too.
  9. I think Dak and Ecoli are pants and should not be made mods. ps whats this prize then?
  10. I aren't a math person but, I think it would go like this. The total force at rest is shared between the two sides of the pully equaly. That gives 122.625 N. So there is more force on P than is required to hold M. The force on P is147.15 N. There is a difference of 24.525 N which would be used by countering inertia but shared between the two sides of the pully. So the tension on P would balance to 122.625+(24.525/2)=134.8878 N. math
  11. I tried to make a bulb using petroleum jelly to exclude air. I placed the electrodes with filament into a glass tube. I filled the center with jelly and the ends with house hold wall filler. I preheated the filament to displace some of the jelly as gas through the ends of the tube where theres a weak seal between filler and electrodes. This was to avoid huge pressure at the start of the first test run. I then placed the tube in a glass bulb filled with CO2 just in case . The bulb worked and I could read by it just, in total darkness. This dosen't show on a camera so I decided to blast it so I could take a pic. http://www.scienceforums.net/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1495&stc=1&d=1173294564 It only lasted about four minutes total. The filament tube ended up like this http://www.scienceforums.net/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1496&stc=1&d=1173294564
  12. Do you mean using a parabolic mirror with a shutter or something?. That first post is rather lacking in detail.
  13. If you have a cassete deck you could try one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/FreeLogix-White-Cassette-Adaptor-Players/dp/B000G5S4OS/sr=8-1/qid=1166394312/ref=sr_1_1/203-4407588-0182366?ie=UTF8&s=electronics

    Sunken Eyes?

Darkening around the eye can give the apearance that the orbit is deeper.
  15. I have read a little on this. It was stated that the field reversal takes on average 7,000 years but progresses at different rates acording to latitude :s (invesigaion into sea bed core samples provided this data :s ). What realy caught my attention was that it was stated tha the field strength would drop to 10% of its normal value :|. It may only reach that value at the center of the cycle but it still means our sheild will be all but down for a long time. Have I got this all wrong or what. This is where I got the info from. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2004/04/040408085209.htm
  16. How many ingrediants went into the spagetti monster and its sauce?
  17. For the toaster you could just blow heated air at/past the bread. That would keep the elements hidden and you could use glass baffles for the air.
  18. I again have not done this but, boric acid is used with the glue in some recipes. Its not as good as the silicone version though.
  19. Duno if this will help. The sources I have seen all quote these as the ingrediants : 65% - Dimethyl Siloxane, hydroxy-terminated polymers with boric acid 17% - Silica, quartz crystalline 9% - Thixotrol ST 4% - Polydimethylsiloxane 1% - Decamethyl cyclopentasiloxane 1% - Glycerine 1% - Titanium Dioxide The mix of acid to water seems to be anywhere between half and two tabble spoons to one cup of water. Warm water helps it disolve better. Good luck. You cold make the pva glue and boric one if ya get realy stuck
  20. I was looking for images of the crystals you mentioned. They sounded interesting. I came across this site which has strontium nitrate down twice with two different names :S. sr(NO3)2 and srNO6. This is the page link http://environmentalchemistry.com/yogi/periodic/N-compounds.html . Why two names ? Are they different ?
