It always amazes me that people use that argument as justification when someone has wronged us. I remember hearing it in the aftermath of the 9/11 attack, as if that justified the deaths of innocent people. We should fight against all improper behavior no matter who commits it, and not accept it as 'the way it is'.

While interstellar travel will not be attempted in our life times there is nothing that makes it impossible. We've already been traveling on our spaceship for our entire lives.

I believe that is a matter of opinion, not a matter of doctrine. The New Testament seems to both suggest both. For example, from Matthew 5:17-19: “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them." To many Christians, the Old Testament is as current as it ever was.

Are you talking about the Bible or some other text? Since 'death to infidels' is in both the Koran and the Bible, I think it is safe to assume that it is not just the text that is encouraging people to kill infidels.

That would be fun! We have ducks and chickens but all females. We are trying to get the broody hen off the nest; she lays there whether there are eggs under her or not. I'd love to get a fertilized duck egg under her.
