I was wondering what each of you guys wanna see advance in, in the year 2004? or even in the future? So please post your creativity about science advancements in 2004 and beyond. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. For me, 1. i wish advancement in nanotechnology and so, it the future everything will be small and easily manage. No more big bulky stuff. Wee! Nano-TV in contact lens that can be placed before your eye and seen anywhere you go! Locks that can be unlock by the touch of your finger. As th nano-chip "key" simply unlocks the lock. Etc. By that time, woo, the future would be so cool. 2. Well, this would definitely not happened inmy generation. The ability …

where did "bling bling" come from? you know, like rap culture meaning "expensive jewlery". i ask because a few days ago i was at a friend's house for a magic card mini-tournament. this friend collects old video game systems and old video games. one of the video games i the original "Mario" for the original "Nintendo". I was looking through my deck while people were playing mario next to me. then one of my friends was talking, and she mentioned bling bling. a second later, mario jumped and collected two coins, making the high pitched "bling bling" sound. so i thought, "bling bling? i wonder if... nah, couldn't be!" what do you think?

i was at my computer, browsing through the new posts and i opened a bottle of "Henry Weinhard's Root Beer." i took a small drink, then put it back on the coaster with the cap off. i finished reading a post and grabbed for my root beer, but white foam was comming out of the top very slowly. the white foam isn't like normal root beer foam. it was sticky, like a marshmellow (but foamier). it tasted kinda like an acidic marshmellow. and it wasn't pouring over the sides (well, slowly). does anyone have any idea what this could be? just incase it helps: i was eating an orange marmalade jelly and peanut butter sandwich just prior to taking the first drink. i a…

I'm new here, and have been browsing through some of the posts, and you all seem really knowledgeable on science! I think that is soo cool! I was just wondering if you were all mostly scientists, or just normal people who like science. I for one, am 16 years old, and in high school.

Just this evening registered here and thought id say hello. Im Emmon from Lincolnshire in the Uk, a 20 year old metal worker and graphic designer. Been interested in science since school as it always interested me the idea that if i knew the ins and outs.. laws and building blocks of as much as i could... that i could really resourceful. That as soon as ive got the knowledge im going to be able to apply it everywhere i want. I went to college ( studying computers ) after school but left after a year. I found i learnt best when i could learn what i wanted, when i wanted. Didnt fit that well into the classroom "schedule" of progressively learning more about x subjec…

Conspiracy Theory By Aoi Okami It has come to my attention that there is a society out there that not many know about. I do not now know of the name of this society. What I do know is that they control every goverment on the planet. Thus I shall for now call them "the goverment." They do not work alone, and they control nearly everything. They are behind every major event, and nearly every unknown phenomenon. Every sight of a mountain yeti, Lock Ness monster, and cyclops is really just one of their sick experiments either running loose, or in their contained area that a lone hiker accidently walks into to. They have technologies we can barley imagine, and do sick exp…

Well, i am sure everyone in this forum are science enthusiasts that is the reason while you joined this forum. But, i am curious that is there any one out there who idolise Adolf Hitler? Ok, let's put aside all the evil and bad that he did and look at what he bring about. I believe that he was a key player to development in Genome, a slight contibution. It was amazing how Hitler a man so cruel and sadistic also had interest in science. I think he was the man who created Eugenics in the first place. Is it true? And i'm quite sure in the years ahead when scientist and researchers have found about more about Genome. There will undoubtedly be a rise in "Genoism…

Today (yes, Sunday) I had a Calculus II exam. Here's 5 thing I would have enjoyed more than taking that exam: 1) Running full-speed head-first into a brick wall until I passed out.. 2) Being locked in a small room with two-dozen rabid wombats. 3) Repeatedly dropping my soap in a crowded prison shower room. 4) Being repeatedly hit in the head with rocks. 5) Having open heart surgery performed on me while conscious and without any anaesthetic or other pain killers.

anyone play it yet? I haven't seen anything like it. That's not saying much because I have a very old computer and haven't played a multiplayer FPS since Half Life I think. Actually I played Halo briefly but that doesn't count. Anyways I think it's incredibly fun and I'm really addicted to it. It's perfect for multiplayer. It has the type of gameplay where you only have to get hit a couple times in the body to die, and once in the head. You can fire from the hip OR look down your sights which I've always always wanted. Also I've never played a WW2 game online, so killing Germans (or Americans) has never been more fun. Awesome game.

Help me all of thee, thee are my only hope...Oh well...

I was wondering what will happen when we as in humans eventually get the technology to transport ourselves efficiently through space which will inevitably happen whether it be 10 or 200 years from now. There is a very high chance that there will be wars over territory,i mean how easy would it be for the US to take over Mars when it obtains the means to do so.I know that there are treaties to stop these kinds of things happening but capitalist greed for resources will allways prevail, all u need to do is look to Iraq to prove this.
